You see yourself, you see how useless you are? Is Saraki the speaker?
sureheaven:
I know it will end up in exercise in futility.

Saraki is the most useless speaker nigeria ever produce since 1999.
Politics › Re: Onnoghen: We’ll Resist Any Attempt To Impeach Buhari – APC Senators by DMerciful(m): 7:09pm On Jan 27, 2019
Was a petition sent to the NJC?
briefness:
The judiciary actually failed to help itself by allowing the CJN to postpone the NJC scheduled meeting which may have taken a position to guide the situation. Why was there quiet from all when the NJC failed to sit for no reason and there was no intervention from any quota? The judiciary must learn to tackle issues that affect them from within in order not to subject the institution to ridicule.

When you have a lot of assets you could miss one or two that's why the law says if he admits in writing to the error, he should be given a new form and trial will not be necessary
sanmtiago:
so why didn't he declare his assets ??

There are laid down procedures to do so...Say no to jungle justice!
GoodMuyis:
That is an open door for EFFC ICPC to start probing his source of wealth, but Onnoghen wanted to avoid that by postponing till indefinitely the NJC meeting that should have determine his fate. And by the way Onnoghen a sitting cannot be tried while still holding his position. the only thing to be done is to suspend him, strip that position from him so he can be summoned under a judge.
Politics › Re: Cable EDITORIAL: Recall Onnoghen And Allow Him To Step Aside by DMerciful(m): 6:00pm On Jan 27, 2019
He was actually charged....About 25 SANs defended him but the case was eventually withdrawn
PaChukwudi44:
Lol How will be charged when the people who were supposed to charge him to court work for him? What brand of goof are you smoking BTW
Certificate forgery is a grave criminal offence and far more serious than non-declaration of assets.
Politics › Re: Cable EDITORIAL: Recall Onnoghen And Allow Him To Step Aside by DMerciful(m): 5:55pm On Jan 27, 2019
Is this according to the Constitution? Yeye dey smell
Clerverly:
Even if he would be recalled, he should be made to write post dated resignation letter before any action.
Politics › Re: Cable EDITORIAL: Recall Onnoghen And Allow Him To Step Aside by DMerciful(m): 5:54pm On Jan 27, 2019
Just like Saraki stepped aside! So you want the sham of Bubu to succeed?
Clerverly:
Sense don dey fall on these useless Newspapers;

It Started with Premium Times and now Cable News:

However, Onnoghen brought all these shame to himself. It can never happen in saner clime. Immediately you are accused of crime by the government of your country, nobody should advise you to step aside, and allow unfettered access to full investigation.
Politics › Re: Judges Are Not Permitted To Speak To The Media - NBA Boss by DMerciful(m): 5:25pm On Jan 27, 2019
That does not show he is guilty infact he has not committed a crime. What the CCB ought to have done is to give him another form to fill and ask him to declare all. That is what the law says!
martineverest:
executive arms got immunity,CJN doesn't.....didn't Onnoghen admit not declaring his foreign accounts?that shows he is guilty.isnt he supposed to resign at the first place?

sogodihno:
which Senate pls, the one that is lead by crook saraki, u think saraki didn't know that Onoghen is a PDP mole, so he will allow his dismissal?

let me leave u with the word of Putin

"To fight corruption in corrupt system, u can't follow the due process, u follow the necessary process"
Politics › Re: Lawyers Say CCT, Ex-parte Order May Be Fraudulent by DMerciful(m): 4:27pm On Jan 27, 2019
He maybe corrupt but has committed no crime as far as asset declaration is concerned
sanmtiago:
What's the fuss about the suspension of this so called CJN.
The man is corrupt and you want him to remain in such delicate position??
What would even be the reaction of people if this scenario had taken place after the general presidential election and buhari still remains President??
Nigerian's don't see crime in corruption any longer, please let's not be biased as the president took an innocuous step. undecided

Get your facts right he did not go to industrial court. Stop peddling lies!
festacman:
Justice Walter Onnoghen is a big disgrace to Judicial world.

He committed an offence that devalues his integrity as a Judge and instead of resigning he started taking instructions from selfish politicians on how to abuse court process and misuse his power as head of NJC to hold on an exalted position. Doesn't it sound absurd that a Nigerian CJN had to run to Industrial Court to get ex parte injunction. Industrial Court! Industrial court? Sounds like what a corrupt Nigerian politicians will ordinarily do to hang on. It is so demeaning! Little wonder that his defenders quote the untreated cases of corrupt politicians to defend why his case should also be left untreated.

For somebody who should personify intergrity and exude incorruptibility, the current scenario is appalling. Every SAN defending him instead of encouraging him to take the 'hemlock' of honour should take a look at themselves in the mirror.

Justice Onnoghen should bow his head in shame. He is disgrace to Justice Ayo Irikefes, Justice Oputas and co who represented the Southern Nigeria well. He doesn't represent the best of what we can offer to judicial world.

I'm with you on this! It should be for health grounds and nothing more. A woman cannot die of pain, she can only die if the baby is too big or her pelvic is too small. A doctor will give the call and not for lazy or cosmetic reasons!

Politics › Re: BREAKING: EU ‘very Concerned’ Over CJN Onnoghen’s Suspension by DMerciful(m): 5:11pm On Jan 26, 2019
The Constitution did not say he should resign if he admits in fact it said he should not be sent to CCT if he admits. Read and be guided!
BabaO2:
PDP is struggling feeding international bodies with messy and wrong information.
The ex-cjn ought to have resigned having admitted to his questionable undeclared accounts..
Politics › Re: CJN Suspension: Our Democracy Is On Fire - House Of Reps Speaker, Dogara by DMerciful(m): 4:57pm On Jan 26, 2019
Use your brain! CJN is far higher than court of appeal president! He is the head of an arm of government and how to remove him is well stipulated in the Constitution
Newbiee:
Below is Mike Ozekhome ,SAN. Argument Supporting the suspension of Justice Ayo Salami President of the court of Appeal by Jonathan over allegations of corruption without any evidence or case against him in any court. Pls read.5

*”According to Section 11 of the Interpretation Act, Cap 123, Vol. 8, LFN, 2004, the President can suspend indefinitely but not remove without senate. And the President just exercised this”*

This was the law that Mike Ozekhome ,SAN deployed in his argument supporting Jonathan but today the clown is calling for breakdown of law & order.
