Well, this sudden fascination with Nigeria seems like a kiss of death.

how many people are in Texas compared to Ibadan city.
Are you seriously asking me this question? I am patiently waiting for you to compare the complexity of looking for someone in a state like texas to IB. Compare the population density of both states(Inc. OYO) and answer yourself.

CrimeRe: Sharia Court Judge Attempts To Rape A Married Woman In Zaria by Dollyak(f): 9:51pm On May 18, 2016
How could a government allow a religious court in a multi religious country like Nigeria? Word fail me.
PoliticsRe: Army Updates On Rescued Chibok Girl: Confirms Name As Amina Ali by Dollyak(f): 9:47pm On May 18, 2016
One better than none. Still more to go. Nigeria is barely bigger than Texas yet the Nigerian Army couldn't find the girls. The whole thing sounds strange and I am sure there is more to it.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Relocate Mile 12 Market – Kano Gov. Appeals Ambode by Dollyak(f): 9:39pm On May 18, 2016
RichDad1:
What's wrong with this man?
He better face his state and let Ambo decides on what favor lagosians.
A market as filthy and violent prone as the mile 12 market does not have a place in the heart of a mega city like lagos. They're better off at the outskirt.
Their lives depends on the southerners. Closure of the market means more Almajiris going back to the north and subsequently driving their unproductive states into more bankruptcy.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Relocate Mile 12 Market – Kano Gov. Appeals Ambode by Dollyak(f): 9:32pm On May 18, 2016
Will northerners be so accomodating if southerners were killing and committing crimes in their lands? I think not. I hope Ambode proceed with the closure of the market to resore sanity and peace into the area.

dabbyz:
oh God. what future do we have in this country?
Not really a great future sadly. Nigeria is a mess filled with monsters. To know if a country has a future check the attitude/views of her citizens. The country is irredeemable. Slowly but surely, the reality of the dire situation is sinking in.
EducationRe: Possibility Of Running Two Masters Degree At The Same Time. by Dollyak(f): 10:42am On May 17, 2016
It might be possible with crap courses from crap universities but not from top Universities. One masters is challenging enough let alone two...
PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Attack On Tarfi Village: Death Toll Rises To 60 — ORTOM by Dollyak(f): 8:37am On May 17, 2016
Regardless of Buhari's position regarding this herdsmen issue, surely he must be either laughing or shaking his head at the incompetence of benue governor.
PoliticsRe: IYC Wants ‘unfair Allocation’ Of Oil Blocks Probed by Dollyak(f): 8:16am On May 17, 2016
This is fair to be honest. I sincerely hope the figures being bandied about Northerners controlling more than 80% of oil blocks isn't true, otherwise it is a slap on southerners, most especially SS intelligence.

PoliticsRe: Military Confirms Arrest Of Niger Delta Avengers, Masterminds Of Chevron Attacks by Dollyak(f): 11:46pm On May 15, 2016
This is merely peppering the cracks. Still doesn't address the fundamental social breakdown causing some of these conflicts.
PoliticsRe: Forget The Saudi's Nigeria Is The Big Oil Worry - Bloomberg. by Dollyak(f): 11:40pm On May 15, 2016
This huge, enigmatic, blundering nation never learnt any lesson in its lifespan. It glibly talks diversification megalomaniacally while in reality it naively dreams a resurgence of an oil windfall monocultural economy..
To quote my dad 'The cat sleeps but still dreams of tantalizing chickens' holds true here.

I don't know much about Glo services. But I have the best wishes for Glo owned by a SW/Nigerian man. Hopefully, they can eclipse MTN
PoliticsRe: You Bomb Your Oil, I Keep My Tomatoes by Dollyak(f): 8:24pm On May 15, 2016
Tomato is about one of the weakest economic weapon anyone can use to attack the country. The northerners can never win any economic War against the southerners as they have more to lose.

Tomato against oil? grin

Science/TechnologyRe: PHOTOS: Snow Falls In Some Areas In Jos by Dollyak(f): 3:49pm On May 15, 2016
This is just a bad photoshop. Snows doesn't fall like that. No dispersion, just a concentration of snow in one area with no landscape difference. Nice try.

Sweedy, because you can afford it doesnt mean the next person can. There is inflation in the country, people are all about cutting cost. I trust myself, I'll just not attend the wedding! I'm not earning salary for her wedding. undecided
Exactly. Perhaps her friends could and was just posting for attention, which pretty much renders the whole argument useless. Everything is relative and should be discussed as such.
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua’s Wives Unhappy With Nigeria by Dollyak(f): 9:43am On May 15, 2016
That's life ma'am. People remember iconic leaders, I.e Awolowo. So, perhaps he wasn't? Calling people to remember your husband because of what you perceived an honourable service, is a circular reasoning. Pretty much counter productive if you ask me.

I don't do things to impress people, which is the mindset she has. I can finance my marriage thank you very much. Shouldn't be a burden innit? I can be minimalistic and simple when doing my wedding-raised well.
Anyway, nothing too outrageous in that cost, been involved in a lot more expensive ones.

Btw, is anyone noticing the trend of betrayal and backstabbing. Always the same people and region.
From the 60s and till now. No single shred of honour or loyalty.
God bless the igbo nation
You should be ashame of yourself. You guys supported Jonathan blindly because of your selfish interest and now you want everyone to continue your destructive acts by supporting buhari blindly even if he has a weakness. You need to revise your reasoning. Loyalty shouldn't block common sense.

I am not a hypocrite, so I have no problem with that. Nevertheless, I found it curious not much development (relatively) is going on in SS despite having the highest allocation.

One thing am certain about is that diplomacy is the way forward. Any violence will be the first step to disintegration.

World power have a nasty surprise waiting for Buhari.
indeed. What happened to the 13% derivation? I think they should look inward first before attacking the federal government.
