How come this isn't happening in Kano and all northern states? This is definitely more than a coincidence. Anyways, SW leaders are the only people capable of talking sense into Buhari. Once he lose their support he his as good as done. |
Elegant pose. |
dadee007:Really good information. I absolutely agree with your post |
Great gesture but what's the meaning or intention of this publicity stunt by Nigerians? Were the Muslims/Christians under attack or what. Great tod see either way. It's a shame similar display of unity is lacking in the core North between Christians and Muslims. |
wow |
Looks cute. Okay, enough nl for me today. |
Buhari seems to be following the footsteps of Jonathan in being absolutely useless in combating insecurity in Nigeria. Leaders are mostly judged by their actions or lack of in defining moments. No subsequent actions or policy will make up for this inaction especially in the face of so much outcry. |
It is increasingly becoming obvious Fashola is clueless and out of his depth in the power sector. Anyways, you guys deserve your leaders. |
ChristStriker:Of course he is duhh. This isn't even about APC/PDP, this is about what is morally right. There is no doubt Jonathan failed in his initial and probably subsequent actions to solving Boko Haram and now Buhari is towing the same line with Fulani herdsmen. Someone please give these Nigerian leaders a lecture on what leadership is all about. |
gud4dbest:Any appeal to Buhari is a fruitless exercise. Any subsequent actions by FG cannot erase his slow response (perhaps deliberate) to this Fulani madness. I hope Southerners and middle-belterns would be wise enough to vote a less biased, long sighted and more intelligent candidate in the next elections. |
ChristStriker:I am curious, why do you lots focus on this miscreants so much? Why does their opinion matter? Majority of die-hard Buhari supporters on nl are impostors who are either Fulani/Hausa or APC paid idiots. No reasonable person would support this acts regardless of where or which tribe they are from. |
THE Pan- Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Afenifere on Tuesday lashed out at the Federal government for being indifferent to the wanton killings by the Fulani herdsmen going on across the country. Pointedly, the group wondered why government through the Information Minister Lai Muhammed said it was working silently on the matter while killings were done openly by the herdsmen. Rising from its monthly meeting held in Akure, the group rejected the statement credited to the minister saying several killing “cannot be going on openly and government is working silently”. A communique issued at the end of the groups monthly meeting in Akure which lasted five hours was read by its spokesman Yinka Odumakin. They said “we reject the statement of Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed that the federal government is working silently on this matter. “Several killings cannot be going on in the open and the federal government says it’s working silently, it is unfortunate that that statement is coming from the federal government of Nigeria. “There can’t be any silent working over these killing and the action of the federal government must be opened. They therefore called on President Muhamadu Buhari “to speak up on this matter and to take urgent action to restore the peace of people of Nigeria, especially in the south and middle belt. Yesterday’s meeting was attended by leaders of the group across the states at the Country home of their Chairman, Pa Reuben Fasoranti According to the Communique “The meeting is worried about recent spate of killings by Fulani herdsmen across the country as evident in Agatu killings, the murder of Olu Falae’s guard in his farm, the killings in Ibadan and the latest being the heinous murder of over 40 Nigerians in cold blood in Enugu. “We are worried that federal government seems to have maintained indifference to the wanton killings going on across the country against the provisions of the constitution. “That the federal government has a duty to protect the lives and properties of every citizens of nigeria. “We call on President Muhammadu Buhari to speak up on this matter and to take urgent action to restore the sense of people of Nigeria, especially in the south and middle belt . “We are also worried that the DSS which highly went to the press to say that they discover a grave in the south east where they said they found the bodies of the Fulani men without any DNA has continue to maintain silence also over these killings across the country. “The DSS had failed to establish that the bodies is from any ethnic group. It’s an organization for all Nigerians and therefore should be concerned and should make the report on the killing across the country not just what they called the killing of people from certain ethnic among the over 250 groups in Nigeria. “In view of the fact that Yoruba nation has have more than fair share of this siege in the country by these Fulani herdsmen, we demand immediate meeting of all South west governors irrespective of their party affiliation. ” They should ensure that they meet to device means and ways to protect the lives of their citizens and properties against these invaders who are rampaging everywhere “We equally call on our member in the National Assembly to stand up and speak out on what is going on now so that they can be seen as true representatives of their people “We believe that given the fact that Nigeria is threading on the path of disintegration if the issue of Fulani herdsmen is not well handled, we demand the immediate implementation of the 2014 CONFAB report which provided solutions to most of the problems confronting Nigerians including the issues of the Fulani herdsmen Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/afenifere-slams-fg-over-silence-on-fulani-herdsmen-killings/ |
I still maintain Nigeria must be sanction economically to stop this human rights abuse by the authorities. I guess you have to live in the system to comprehend how people can be so comfortable with these abuses, which also includes failed promises by politicians, corruption, darkness, bad roads, no jobs/hard jobs with little pay etc. I bet this one too will soon be swept under the carpet. What a country |
Central cooli system for that kind of building is load intensive. So how are you going to power it with ordinary generators you guys use in Nigeria? |
oduastates:what was the ulterior motive? This is ridiculous! Presenting an agenda without collectively agreeing to terms behind closed doors. This is the time for head scratching. Yoruba land must progress with or without Nigeria |
Alokendra:Wow this is the first time hearing about this. I am actually shocked that a fellow Yoruba state could snake each other. This is why I tell people on nl not to support blindly I.e Tinubu supporters. I am sorry, but yoruba interest should be first before Nigeria. |
Jonathan wasn't the ideal candidate to lead Nigeria and buhari has turned out to be just as useless on a magnified scale. |
tintedniggz:proper interviews normally involves numerical and verbal reasoning test, Technical questions and face to face interview. |
To be fair, you don't have that many white collar jobs in Nigeria to warrant proper interviews |
joxiri:Sorry to burst your bubble, Africa is poor. Lagos gpd is now more than $130 Billion quite a bit chuck more than kenya |
kYjelly2:It's really ridiculous how Lagos with an economy bigger than Kenya has to make compromise in order to complete basic amenities like roads. Lagos should be getting a large chuck of their contribution to Nigeria |
Many lives and dreams wasted for nothing. It is very hard to comprehend Nigeria and her citizens. |
coolitempa:lol so funny after looking at their pictures. |
Liberty90:It is always sad to hear something like this. Many talents are being wasted in Nigeria |
juman:Does that statement above make sense to you? Try and make sense man. What does suffering has to do with the raised point? How many countries in the world apart from Zimbabwe, Cuba, SW Nigeria and few more has suffered a decrease in HDI? Common sense will dictate something changed after agreeing to the fraudulent unitary system. |
juman:That is what happens when all the money in the SW is being used to develop the North while the provider suffers. This isn't surprising when you look at the pittanceallocation Oyo state is getting in Comparison to Kano and kaduna. No large state can survive and grow when more than 90% of their money is being distibuted. Oyo is simply being strained financially. |
No excuse for killing that many people for whatever reason. Nigeria needs to be hit with sanctions to force them to take human rights seriously |
ItsMeAboki:How does this change the facts you guys contribute the least to Nigeria? Nobody has been able to reply omonnakoda because he said the truth. I am not going to give in to the red herring ploys of you lots. Counter the points of this thread. |
I love how her son's name is called Juwon and not some adopted english name. |
Beremx:Why? What else does he have to offer Nigeria except destroy it again.. Good riddance. |
omonnakoda:This comment is so balanced and powerful. Thank you Sir. |
You can't cheat physics . Too funny. |
