To add to Eke schools University of Bremen, University of applied science, Weingarten, University of Mannheim, Hochschule Mannheim amongst other.. Are you telling me these schools are not recognized? Please lets be guided here Thanks ! |
DanIndia:Oga, in as much you have given some great insight and tips on this fora, I want to strongly disagree with the bolded statement. I can authoritatively mention over 10 schools which are among the top 50 universities in germany and does not conform with uni-assist. Uni-assist educational services serves as an intermediary between foreign students and the university. due to the large applications been sent across every year, they may decide to employ the services of Uni-assist to help them with sorting, verification and pre-acceptance of intending applicants. As a matter of fact, we cannot use this yardsticks to measure the ingenuity or authenticity of a university. Please, lets be guided so as not to mis-inform intending applicants Mein zwei loffel !!! |
dafexe:Anabin gives you the possibility to check, if you have the neccesary prerequisites for Bachelor or Master studies in Germany. also, its like a directory for schools accepted in germany. Its advisable to use google chrome for visiting such site. it has a translation option Regards ! |
hyfr:An O'Level doesn't often grant you direct access to a German university. You may be required to sit for an aptitude test (in the case that you have extraordinary O'Level grades) or to join "Studienkolleg", a foundation year class before admission to the first year in the university after an exam. However, if you do well in the first semester of the Foundation year, you may also choose to write the test at the end of the semester and gain entrance to the Uni, provided you pass. Now how does the process work, because studienkollege teaches you in german language, the embassy may never give you a language study visa, instead, you will be re-directed to Goethe institute to study that. At present, Registration have closed at Goethe institute. but a new academic calendar will be up around April (That is confirmed) Ensure you attain A2 then apply for studienkollege. studying A1-A2 will span across 8 months. After obtaining your german A2 profiency, then you can proceed to apply for Studienkollege. Or better still, if you can attain A level Cambridge GCE, it may give you a greater edge. Your O'Level alone may not be enough to apply for Degree in germany. Others may contribute Mein zwei loffel !!! |
Excerpt from a page: It costs nothing and takes only a few hours to open if you already have a current account with the same bank. Otherwise, you'll have to provide the bank with 2 individual references. The transfer itself takes 24-48hrs. Before the end of the second business day, you should receive confirmation from Deutsche Bank confirming credit in your account, a copy of which they would have forwarded to the embassy at the same time as yours) You will be charged around €60 + N4000(transfer commission, telex copies,VAT and offshore charges) and the Deutsche Bank will charge you €50 for the blocked account (so make sure you include those charges in the actual transfer sum). Someone on this thread used Afribank for direct transfer. dont know if that still exists, but you could give it a try. Gemeinsam sind wir stark ![]() |
Achyever:Achyever, you just registered here 2 days ago and you cant read some few pages back. My dear, dont be lazy, try and read some pages backward. Meanwhile, the information below was received from the embassy by an intending applicant: Dear Sir, thank you for your email. Please be advised that the Consulate General can only certify your signature for the necessary opening of a blocked account if you already have the admission letter of the university (a pdf printout is sufficient), as a copy of the admission letter has to be forwarded to the bank with the application form and your passport copy. As soon as you have submitted your application for the opening of a blocked account, you will receive a confirmation letter from the Consulate with which you can apply for your student visa. I trust you find this information helpful. Attached please also find the checklist with further information concerning the opening of a blocked account. Yours sincerely, b.o. dencotech:Congrats bro Wishing you all the best in deutschland. Alles Gute !!! |
Clandestine60:Congrats Bros, Go and succeed in Deutschland. Alles Gutes !!! |
Williamso:Its area dependent. However, ICT is a booming field most especially Telecommunication, Hardware, software development amongst others. I spoke with a fellow here and he made me understand that there are series of ICT jobs most especially in the eastern part of germany. They have great IT and telecoms companies there. The only disadvantage of going to the east is "Racism" which may be hard to deal with. Its rampant in the eastern part, most esp Dresden, Chemnitz, Bradenburg, Cottbus, Leipzig just to name a few. However, its also very close to Poland for tour and exploring. In all, ICT companies are everywhere.. mind you, 9 countries borders Germany. so the opportunities are enormous. Gemeinsam Sind Wir Stark Mein Zwei loffel !!! |
europe4sure:Bros, to be candid with you. getting an admission for LLM is absolute Zero. However, you can re-apply for B.sc. For Masters in Law, you may be asked to tender/show proof of language proficiency. so try attending Goethe for german class and maybe up to A2/B1 level and you are good to go. Others may contribute !!! |
marcyemi:No problem my dear, in as much your friend can convince the Visa Officer what he/she has been doing for the past couple of years. Also, her course of study should relate to her first degree. But first, is she going for Msc or Bsc?? |
Ugochux:You can apply for March intake or better still april. the last time i checked, there were still some spaces left for march 21 and 28th for any intending IELTS candidate. Also, if you think you might not catch up for Msc in deutschland, you may apply for B.sc. ensure you make a strong CGPA during your first semester, you may be lucky to find yourself in ur 3rd semester according to some research. B.sc, Msc route.. alles gute as long as germany is concerned. Lots of practicals, research, internships, and above all, Some courses allows you to travel out of deutschland for your third/fourth semester.. The choice is yours. but take note, 18months after your Msc and yet you cant land a good job, you may kiss deutschland (Aufwiedersehen) Goodbye.. The decision lies with you Mein zwei loffel Gemeinsam sind wir stark !!! |
dencotech:Bros, My candid advise for you is to use the widely acceptable google search engine for research. For the records, germany is "NOT" for the lazy soul. your reading and research culture needs to be activated from here. My 2 cents ! |
styles2009:You are so on point bro, but this studienkollege still get me skeptical. we have seen countless number of rejection all because of studienkollege. Anyway, what works for you may not work for every body. Lets hope this new trick works |
dantaynya:We are always here to help another brother. Kindly introduce your sister here to read as many pages as possible. Its very possible to have your visa if you follow the steps and protocols All will be well Mein zwei loffel !! |
dencotech:Hello Dencotech, Can you simply narrate the ordeal that went down at the embassy for others to learn from? Eke, and some other fellow have been doing same. Probably some questions that was asked, where you goofed, and a probable solution Thanks and have a blessed day] Gemeinsam sind wir stark !!! |
dantaynya:No sir, Since she was not asked to come with Insurance, its a two-way thing. 1) Its either her visa is ready for collection or 2) They need some confirmation about her school, resumption and all from her, but definitely that should not be a rejection. Did she use a blocked account or Verpflichtungserklärung?? Alles Gute ! |
