I applied for student visa lk for almost six weeks now at the German embassy but I'm yet to get positive reply. the has mailed several times saying that the alien office at my intended place of residence in Germany has yet to give them consent to issue me a visa.
my final enrollment deadline in my school is next Monday the 21st of ds month. two weeks ago, I was asked to send a motivation letter on why I want to study my intended course, which I sent immediately and they confirmed dat they forwarded it to the foreign office.

My people, I just got a call this morning from my friend in Germany that now if you want to invite someone from any West African country Nigeria inclusive, you have to pay money. 1700€ for 1 month visa, 2000€ for two months visa and so forth...ie with letter of invitation.
He said it all because of the Ebola outbreak. if any one gets visa now I think the person is lucky.He even asked if any one has gotten the study visa recently. I told him that I don't know.
May the good Lordnot allow this to hinder us from going to Germany o.

I was instructed by the university to register on their website using a temporary user name and password and at the end of the process, I was asked to print out a document, sign,date and attach a passport photo and send together with my health insurance which I already did some weeks ago. Is this what is usually referred to as enrollment? I need an urgent response please as I was asked to come to the embassy and I intend to do that tomorrow and wouldn't want to appear like a fool if am asked any question regarding enrollment deadline when I don't fully understand what its all about.

A lot of people live quite far from the German institutes here in naija but for personal studies of the language [s]you can download both PDF and audio files of levels A1, A2,B1... on the Goeth website[/s], for the past months I have stopped listening to wizkid or what ever and started listening to these audios in the traffic and everywhere, download German apps( for me I download one for conjugation of verbs, about three different dictionaries since some are more detailed than others and vice versa, most have their own online translators, one for the grammar , and another for the noun genders, those studying German understand that Der,die, das... can be frustrating sometimes , any other app that helps and most importantly duo-lingo which encompasses everything together). Don't forget that your speed to success depends on how much dedication you put to it, so while waiting for that "good news" from the embassy or your potential school, you can binge on all these.

Oga, you are not required to pay anything.. send your documents to the school, expect admission letter..
when it arrives, give praise to God, pay your semester fees, check your email/spam for admission letter, print out the original copy and head straight to the embassy to apply for visa

1. My school sent me a scanned copy of the acceptance letter and they said it may take three weeks before the hard copy can get to me. now the question is, is it possible to submit the scanned copy for the interview?

2. I don't have a primary school leaving certificate but i have a testimonial and my primary school headmaster said that it is not possible to get the Primary school leaving certificate because Lagos state is not issuing certificates. i don't know what to do or believe anymore.

3. About the biographical data, is my university Library ID card and Hostel ID sufficient?

Please help a sister out, i am confused and loosing my mind with all these issues.

1) Yes, I can authoritatively ascertain that you can use the emailed copy sent to you to apply/schedule for an interview. make sure its printed out in coloured.

2) The Testimonial can still do the magic. meanwhile, its hardly asked for these days. but try and go with the testimonial just to be on safer side.

3) You can use your Library/Hostel card. if you have baptismal certificate, u can use that as well in as much its older than 5 years..

But It might take a shorter/longer period.. I stand corrected here.
