I'm from Imo but have been privileged to know Arch. Mike Onolememen CON, KSM since 2010. He's a great man indeed and a role model to many young men. Very intelligent, hardworking and humane. His silent generosity is boundless. I think Edo people should vote him in and then do a thanksgiving in church cos i'm certain he'll turn the state around. His track record in government service is impeccable & unassailable. Last year, among many other awards, he won Minister of the Year award from naijainfo FM callers. The guy don even complete his PhD programme recently. All round jolly good fellow. Carry go, Nnam ukwu.

all theory and stereotyping. When you've worked with the courts for many years you'll see that divorce has nothing to do with professions. We've seen it all ranging from pastors to professors. |
Kingbilo:yeah. Has to be Ghana. Years back BBC Focus magazine did a feature on them. Casket makers built coffins to depict the profession Of the deceased. |
nice they're learning from the catholic church. Moving evangelism from the parlour to the bush. |
This is just an interim order of court, as opposed to a final judgement as delivered by the Fhc. But I wonder how a court can grant an order to restrain a completed act. Its not done. I also wonder why the Court didnt strike out the suit for being an abuse of court process. Something is missing here. I'd go thru the ruling before making further comments. |
hmmmmm. i'm wondering what they'll be charged with. Definitely not kidnapping. It wont stick. Maybe Obtaining by false pretences (OBT). Very unlikely to stick too. A smart lawyer can get them discharged and acquitted knowing how inept and careless our police force is in drafting their charges. |
That is no longer a parting. It is a gap. That one pass gap. Na lacuna. |
hmmmmm. I wonder what she thinks she stands to gain from a statutory marriage. Its not exactly a prenup. It only guarantees maintenance from him in the event of a dissolution and even that is calculated according to his earning capacity and ceases as soon as she remarries. On the other hand, he should realise that many churches these days would not wed u unless you've done your statutory marriage first. Again, what he thinks is just a church marriage may end up being a statutory marriage if the church is a licensed place of worship as provided in the Marriage Act. A statutory marriage puts him in a better stead for several transactions. Lastly, too much sense de worry the couple. They're even thinking about divorce already. |
AwesomelyMade:my brother this prayer shall form part of my daily morning and night prayer from tonight. E make sense die |
Is there any big deal observing fasting during the (Muslim) fasting period?” he asked rhetorically....." "Fasting is not what everybody should know that you are doing and it’s very sad seeing this in the media." "I don't discriminate against anybody and I believe we are all equal in the presence of God, so what is the big deal in fasting? “Does he know how many time I fast to get closer to God before the fasting periods? It's really sad because I don't see it as a big deal." I hope some people are learning. Fasting is a personal thing. Not something to be made a public show about like the pharisees. |
lol.looks like greatest Uites here don concede to defeat very easily. Very understandable considering that Kenneth Dike Library, as beautiful as it, seems very conservative in appearance a lá old britain.Anyway, I think Ife has the most beautiful library. |
tonididdy:yeah. They're called njala in my local dialect. I'm surprised to hear they grow to be big. We learn everyday. |
Neduzze5:Check with vulcanisers in your area. |
olapluto:hmmmmm. Hope that extrapolation no God reach this side o. God abeg o. My office de for Nyanya. "even though I pass thru the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for thou art with me....." |
hmmmm. Saw him in ife back in the 90s when I used to visit from ui. |

maybe the Maestros failed to mentor protegees and pass on the art. many Trained musicians are known to be selfish. Also, maybe the art has a high-barrier entry. In addition to be talented, you must at least play one instrument. How many musicians of nowadays can whistle, talk-less of play an instrument. The very few that do, like don jazzy, flavour, etc are very unique in their output. Thirdly, "tempora mutantur et nos mutamur in illis" (the times change, and we change along with it). So maybe, the times have changed. I'm avid collector, connoisseur, aficionado nay cognoscenti of highlife music. |
yeah. IBB, Yohanna Madaki, OBJ etc. Even Gowon was engaged to Edith Okongwu but the marriage was called off owing to civil war sentiments.(Heard she took in for him too). plenty northern soldiers took wives from the former biafran enclave. If you see any igbo lady (late 20s, early 30s) that says her father is from the North, chances are that her father was a soldier and got married shortly the war.I grew up in the barracks and saw quite a few of them. (dunno where daisy danjuma is from, though) |

this is one of the most matured threads i've seen here recently. Congrats You all. Left U.I in 2002 but couldnt do my LL.M up till now cos job took me straight to Abuja and you know how mediocre the sorrounding universities are. Hopefully i'll take a study leave and commence the LL.M this year, make a Ph.D grade and try catch up with you guys. Cheers, men. |
Decale:No use your hand kill yourself o. |
hypothetical and speculative. Shame on Leadership Newspapers. |
Freemanan:You've obviously never been to Kano, nor the core north. |
lwkmd@ "Mighty Igor". How many of the indomie generation know this great wrestler of the 70s and early 80s. Nice metaphor, Ma'am. |
Caseless:lol. "distinguished" is ordinarily used to address a senator who has done more than one term. Even if he's a tout. |
my lord must be very peeved and upset to have reacted publicly. Judges rarely bare their minds publicly. I'm sorry me lord. |
DICKtator:if you see the massive size of land mass of some local governments there then you'll understand. Empty, barren, arid land though |
JEGA01:he made a clear statement of fact. Why are you threatening him? |
nasarawa state university is your best bet. Their form is currently on sale. I just applied for LL.M. You could also try university of london correspondence courses. Www.london.ac.uk. On on account should you go near University of Abuja. They are planless. |
agarawu23:That explains your irrelevant conclusion. Most Nairalanders cant read for long. Its either they're suffering from dyslexia or ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) |
ur lucky he didnt introduce u as one of the neighbour's daughter. |
