Iamsynord:No vex abeg. Lmao |
usmantoafiq:Is it the same allah that sends u to bomb and behead on his behalf cos of his obvious incapacitation? |
. |
agbajesaid:That is not entirely true. I served on sokoto some 12 years ago. It is peaceful, alright, but peaceful compared to northern states. Not states in the south. Even the peace is an enforced peace. Not natural. I visited there in 2009 during Ramadan. I was very hungry on arrival and drove straight to Mr. Biggs. Alas they were turning customers away because of the fasting. Are u also aware that it is near impossible to get a plot of land to build a church there? all the churches in sokoto town are on a stretch of land allocated to them decades ago. A Catholic church around old airport even operates from a quadrangle in someone's compound, but very quietly. (I hope im not putting them at risk here)They've been applying for land since forever. Even to buy sef, nobody gree. When we were passing out, my friend authored a very beautiful book titled "access to justice in sharia courts". The then sokoto state attorney general even wrote the preface to the book. But still Some people found a way to take offence because the book was dedicated to " my jewel, jummai the caged bird. And all other caged birds whose clipped wings are anxiously awaiting yanci (freedom) and adalci (justice). By the time they started looking for him at the corpers lodge he had to abandon the launching of the book and escaped without even collecting his discharge certificate. Examples abound of such things on sokoto town. But u won't hear of it in the media cos of the Sultan who is doing his best, actually, to maintain peace. |
t2luv1:Sure she can file. but she must convince the court of the grounds on which she is relying on. The court is not a father Christmas. |
t2luv1:U just spoke like a layman. Matrimonial proceedings are never rushed in any Nigerian Court, regardless of sentiments that may have played out. Secondly, its very likely that it is the lawyers and parties that chose that date themselves for sake of convenience. Be guided. |
If that is the case then the jurisdiction of the Customary Courts of Appeal has to be expanded to include criminal cases too, and not limited to questions of customary matters. Also since Area courts have criminal jurisdiction, customary courts should also be imbued with same jurisdiction, especially in the FCT where they are manned by three lawyers. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. |
Too old. |
Money for the lazy Hausa/Fulani who are forever used to receiving alms and handouts |
How many "Mothers Day" do we have in this Country. |
Which course? Ok psychology. Well UI has a robust department of psychology with very sound lecturers. (Naturally). As a law student I took two electives from there (social psychology and Personality and Life span) Didn't regret it one bit. |
Its Instructive that the top two and indeed quite a number are catholic schools. The Marist Brothers schools shd buckle up though. Ive seen MBJ (number 2) and CKC Abuja. Wheres Marist Academy and the others? Since their Apostolate is Education (Marist Brothers of the schools) Marist brothers should forget their in-fighting and buckle up else they'll be left behind. The competition us stiff. We're no longer in the 80s and 90s when there was no competition. It is also instructive that only very few govt schools made the list. Says a lot about the rot in our educational sector. |
Big questions |
Gen Shuwa? Civil war? Hmmmmm. No comment. But those who kill by the knife die by the knife. Etc. |
Codedrock:Dem de count other people money |
Ishilove:U failed number 3. Albert Egbe used to play the part of Mr. B before being replaced by Zulu Adigwe. The other answers are correct. |
“Furthermore, we wish to state that part of the reason Boko Haram grew to become a national problem was the tacit support given to them by northern political leaders and this Fulani herdsmen terrorism is taking the same pattern; hence it must be taken seriously.” It is not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my father in heaven. Okwu gi kwu oto ka amu. |
nduprincekc1:Yes, my Brother. Na so I see am. |
I'm very ashamed that Olarinde, a fellow Uite and son of a law teacher (my then family law lecturer) can say something like that. |
Funny enough na Linda herself I want. |
The judge erred. All cases listed in a cause list rank parri passu. They may be called out of turn if counsel agrees or if there are senior advocates appearing. In limiting the time for cross examination in orubebe's case the judge is given saraki's case unnecessary prominence and making it seem like he has a personal interest in the matter. He shd know better than that. |

Sunnymatey:Thought Ayade was a lecturer in UI. |
Pastor even wear our rosary and concealed the crucifix. Looks more like he's into religious syncretism. |
There used to be a cybercafe there in the late 90s and early 2000s. I recall they were the only ones using vsat then. |
