Politics › Re: Ohanaeze gives Oba of Lagos 48 hours to withdraw threat to Igbos by Doncolio(m): 10:21pm On Apr 06, 2015 |
The Igbos have done nothing to no one...but they should understand that unlike them, the yorubas respect elders and most especially an Oba. So any act towards him won't be taken likely. You can't fight a man in his home and expect to be the one to greet his neighbour good morning.
Vote whoever you like but don't ever think for once JK or Ambode is an Igbo man more or less in an Igbo state. |
Politics › Re: Igbo Group Urges Buhari To Fulfill Promise To South East by Doncolio(m): 7:34am On Apr 04, 2015 |
The Igbos will be better off forming their Biafra from all indications. Obviously, they are a people covered and blinded by the dust of the ground they have all stood upon 'the south east'. No amount of change can and will ever change them as long as they keep to the thought that they deserve something others shouldn't. You Yorubas and Hausas should stop wasting your time preaching to them cause the truth is their mind is made and no amount of care in Nigeria will make the totality of Igbos see reason with the rest of Nigeria. However, I pity my brothers in the SS always being dragged along like a sheep since 1966 till date. No grounds or voice of theirs even after owning the oil that the whole world will no longer have need of or be the black gold in the near future.
N.B: Not all Igbos are stupid and deceitful, it will be wrong to generalize.

Good...majority should carry the vote. Others should learn from Lagos. I used to live in Festac and everyday I wished it was represented and chaired by someone who will represent the majority there, 'the Ibos'.
Glad it happened.

Politics › Re: Can The SW Ascend The Presidency Without The SS/SE by Doncolio(m): 9:08pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
Raiders: why do you think APC will not hand over their party ticket to an Igbo man. PDP/GEJ never had plans to give their ticket the east. Infact, GEJ said he would hand over the next pdp ticket to the north in 2019. I personally think the next presidential candidate for pdp will be from the north. Besides pdp didnt give the VP and president slots to an Igbo man in the last 16 years. I think the Igbos have a better shot of getting the presidency ticket with APC than with PDP if they play their cards well. Very well said 'if they play their card well'. |
Politics › Re: Can The SW Ascend The Presidency Without The SS/SE by Doncolio(m): 9:03pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
Claiming you will form alliance with the north or that your vote will go to the north will only bring you to where you are today. Some are bitter because GEJ wasn't re-elected, to you I'll say, 'grow up' and learn to accept and embrace a concept called democracy...i.e the consensus of the people and not that of some people.
Doing things the same way and expecting a different outcome is plane madness.
Rochas has learnt...I hope his brothers do the same.

NewNigeriaMind: See let me tell you the difference between the Yoruba and Ibo...
A Yoruba man is the most rational human being I have ever come across. A Yoruba man above all else will tell himself the truth, hence before other people know it the Yoruba man has a plan for his survival.
On the other hand, the ibo man is a very sentimental being and quick to make irrational decisions even when faced with better facts. An example is Rochas, he gave ibos a reason he contested apc PRIMARIES and I think his reasons are very reasonable, rather than support him, the whole of ibo rather made him an object of ridicule. Another is when Jonathan came to anambra state and he told ibo people that have the most private jets in Nigeria, we told ibo people that is a blatant lie but you called us names, just a few weeks back NCAA released the names of private jet owners in Nigeria, please go and that list and do the math if ibos are up to 10%. you shouldn't allow people play on your emotions.
We all have our strength and weaknesses, politics is not just for the ibo man. look at both tribes historically, while the Yorubas are republican in nature the ibos are egalitarian in nature. you are who you are, learn from it, become better.
an alliance with the north will never happen or with the south south. you know that is the truth. the only tribe in Nigeria that has ever treated the ibo people fairly is the Yoruba nation. Till today ibo people are still fighting for abandoned property in the south south, while all ibo property in south west and rent was retuned and paid to the owners after the war. search your heart, you know all I have said is the undiluted truth. |

mikeansy: You can not vote along tribal lines and then turn around to accuse others of tribalism!
Buhari's election represents everything wrong about Nigeria. It is childish to even try to spin it otherwise!
How many other countries around the world will a 72 year old former dictator who left office 30 years ago win an election?
Buhari's election is a dent on the conscience of this nation so to spin it around and go on about Igbo this and Igbo that is quite frankly pathetic
We will see how Buhari solves all of Nigeria's problems in the next 4 years! Nigerians are not clueless. We know what to do at the right time. Save your sermon for your fellows. #GodBlessNigeria |

The SE needs to get over the belief that North and SW is their opposition. The Ibos will always be loved and accepted by Nigerians for a leadership position in the future if they can truly put Nigeria and not their tribe first.
