Good for our development. Somehow the political class is beginning to accord public perception some importance in their action. This informed the reason why they said wada must not be fielded as PDP candidate in Kogi because he failed to perform. |
We cannot leave the decision to reduce legislooters emolument to the beneficiaries of the same criminal acts against the Nigerian state. It's not their call. The RMAFC should do the needful before we occupy NASS. |
I will so beat somebody, her asz will be hot. See me see trouble oo, which kain love be this. |
Buhari comes across as a system man. Without firing a shot, everyone is |
The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission has set in motion the process for the downward review of the existing salaries and allowances of political, public and judicial office holders in the country. Chairman of the organisation, Mr. Elias Mbam, on Wednesday inaugurated the committee charged with the responsibility of reviewing the Remuneration Act 2008. The Remuneration Act of 2008 prescribes the salaries and allowances for political, public and judicial office holders. Mbam urged the committee to be conscious of the prevailing economic situation and the need to reduce cost of governance so as to free more funds for development, according to a statement made available to our correspondent by Head of Public Relations of RMAFC, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed. He also explained that the commission was constitutionally empowered to undertake the review of the remuneration packages as might be required from time to time so as to reflect current economic realities; advise federal and state governments on monetisation policies; and generate cost of living indices for revision of allowances among others. Mbam charged the committee to undertake wide consultations with all critical stakeholders including all arms of government of the federation, the national and state assemblies, state and local governments, professional economic bodies, the organised labour, the academia, the media and the Nigerian public in general so as to enrich the process. He reminded the committee members of the need to ensure that the review effectively minimised wastages and abuses and ensured prudent management of resources as well. The committee is expected to holistically review the existing Remuneration Act; identify areas of wastages and abuse, examine the implementation of the monetisation policy by Ministries, Departments and Agencies and advise on appropriate remuneration for political, public and judicial officers commensurate with the work they do, Mohammed said. Mbam stressed that the exercise, which is expected to reduce cost of governance, was line with the current realities where the economy was characterised by inflation and downturn in international oil prices among others. He said the work was envisaged to be completed before the end of September. In his remarks after the inauguration, Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of the commission, Mr. Abdullahi Inde, assured the chairman that the committee would do a thorough job of the task assigned to it. He called on Nigerians to show support and pray for the committee. http://www.punchng.com/news/fg-sets-up-panel-to-slash-politicians-others-salaries/ |

The dumb of the era 1978 - 1983. Hausa/Fulani version of Jonathan. He ran Nigeria down with his cluelessness until Buhari came to the rescue. |

Lagos should build markets specifically for products that the ingrates specialise in and allocate same to only indigenous people. Government should go further by ensuring these businesses are financed at low interest rate by government. That way, you make them non competitive and they can find the way to the erosion ridden land. |
A part of me tells me Ribadu is a mole in the PDP. I have a feeling that he was planted in there to take back Adamawa through the back door. We cannot rule out this possibility. Even if he wins, he might decamp back to the APC. |
- Jonathan took corruption to a new lever never seen in the history of Nigeria. - His regime is very divisive and tribalistic. I guess some people told him that he should not allow Obasanjo to control him, which could have been a good thing if those advising had told him to align himself with the wishes of the people. Rather, their narrative was " now it's our time to steal!'. -PDP went from being a National looting squad to a regional looting squad. Before too long, the centre could not hold. There were dissenting voices even within the party. - Jonathan never took anything of importance to Nigeria serious e.g insecurity, corruption, infrastructural deficit, power etc. - Jonathan relegated the SW in the scheme of things. People go double cross am for election. - Asari Dokubo and so many criminals who his regime elevated verbally attacked people from other regions of Nigeria. |
Very mature of you. |
Where is your ward please. State and location. it makes more sense if we know how each candidate is doing in each state. We know Buhari will win some and Jonathan will win some no doubt. |
To be honest, I could not hold back the teardrops as i read the OP. If indeed, the OP is igbo, I salute your courage. I can only hope large enough number of igbos could think like this. I have said it repeatedly, the only problem with the Nigerian nation is poor education and our rulers will stop at nothing to maintaining the status quo. I could feel the depth of the OP's reasoning in his write up. If everyone's mind could be liberated with education. Then no idiot can loot, mismanage and wreck the country for 5yrs only for him to open the treasury 6 weeks to appraisal time, thinking he could buy the conscience of the masses. |
@ OP. If you ever care to find out what the problem is with Nigeria, just look in the mirror. Just wondering how much you were paid to sell your destiny and that of your children. Just because you had disagreement with Gbawe and some other progressive, all of a sudden that has robbed off negatively on Buhari to the extent that he changed from the messiah to evil while your Jonathan is now the best thing that happened to the nation. You are one big joke. How I wish you could watch a movie of your life to see how pathetic you have become. You have only reinforced my believe that Nigeria needs Buhari. Because of poverty a lot of people have sold their consciences to the extent that they can't stand by their conviction at the promise of inducement. What a shame you have become Barcanista. Nobody needs to know that Jonathan is bad business for Nigeria. He would bankrupt Nigeria if given another 4 years. |
Yes we can. |
mikeansy:This election year 2015, you SHALL SINK AND DROWN with the PDP. |
I do not envy Jonathn at all. Any Dr in the house that can recommend some pills that will help Mr president have some sleep?. |
For the past 2 yrs, I have always maintained that Amosun is an unsung hero is our political space. The guy really surprised me. Initially, I was not a big fan of his because I felt he was not eloquent but his performance far outweigh his shortcoming. Who needs an eloquent thief for a governor. |
I once heard, there is an animal in every man. Now I see the animal in Barcanista. You are just pathetic. Interestingly, you have been castigating GMB lately on the other hand I can feel your pain why you have not put in any good word for GEJ because there is nothing good about the drunken fisherman. 4 year ago, the slogan was fresh air. We know how fresh the has been. One thing is certain, there is no way GEJ will win a free and fair election against GMB. Initially, i wondered what went wrong with you. Now, i can bet my life that you have been compromised!!!. As a young man, just know that you are selling your future and that of your children for pittance. |
barcanista:It is a shame. See what you have become. I can recall, during the presidential primary of the APC, you threw punches around with the news that Atiku was bribing delegates. Now you campaign for the same PDP you have been condemning all along. If you care to know what is wrong with the Nigerian nation, all you need do is look in the mirror. |
