Your argument is like saying a homocide detective shouldnt arrest anybody because he did not witness the murder... i beg to differ, you can use evidence like DNA, type of weapon, fingerprint, camera footage to deduce the culprit to a crime even if you were not there. That's not believing, that's using evidence.
A scientist says modern humans were around 200,000years ago, i ask whats your evidence to that claim, they bring me bones locked into a rock, we carry out experiments to age the rocks using Radio-dating, the age of that rock falls to around 200,000years, obviously the bone would have been older for it to be inside the rock(meaning the rock formed around it). i conclude that this scientist claim is valid and feasible

I have heard the intelligent design argument so many times, and i sometimes ask myself, what are these people smoking

Lets break down this so-called "Intelligent Designer's" Design

Universe

- Most planets orbit are unstable
- Less than 3% of a gas-cloud actually forms a star
- Most places kill life instantly (heat, radiation, cold).
- Galaxy orbit brings you near a supernova (the chances that we would be wiped out by this means is very high)
- Our Galaxy is on a collision course with Andromeda
- One-way Universe will wind down to oblivion

Earth

- Earthquakes and volcanoes level cities and villages (These is Nature killing us and not man's inhumanity to man which can be argued is a consequence of freewill).
- Tsunamis kills in the thousands
- Floods, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Lightning strikes
- Cant live on two third of the earth's surface
- Freeze or starve on half of what remains
- Mass extinctions (diseases, climate shifts, killer asteroids)
- 99% of all life that ever lived is now extinct
- Inner solar system is a shooting gallery
- Took 3.5billion years for multi-cellular life to form (smh, intelligent indeed).

Humans

- Aggressive childhood lukemia, hemophilia, sickle cell anaemia
- Epilepsy, parkinson, ALS
- A Narrow view of the electromagnetic spectrum
- Vision loss with age
- Teeth fall out
- Alzheimers, Prostate cancer
- Exhale most of the oxygen we inhale
- Warm-blooded must eat constantly compared with crocodiles (a crocodile can eat a chicken for a month and be perfectly fine)
- Pratically comatose for one third of our lives
- cant detect magnetic fields, ionizing radiation fields, Radon
- cant smell the gases (C0, CH₄, CO₂) but when we inhale, we die instantly
- Birth defects
- we use the same holes to talk, breathe and eat (meaning choking is highly probable)
- Those things inbetween your legs (who designs an entertainment house close to a sewage system)

I think God needs to go to Design school because there is nothing intelligent about his design whatsoever...

Ok, lemme make it a little bit easier, which part of your body would you exchange and you would stop being you?

How come a concept in which we invented explains the universe in great details?, is mathematics really just a construct of the human mind or is it really the fabric in which universe is made from and we just happen to discover it?

I am open to your views but heres my humble opinion, Humans evolved a brain to navigate the plains of southern africa, in present day Tanzania, we evolved the ability of absolute and wholeness, which unfortunately helped us survive, because we could recognize that two lions is a bigger threat than one lion, we gave entities uniquesness including ourselves and from there, able to group entities together.

Mathematics was born from the ability to do this, we counted and counted, subtracted and added. With time, we started complex operations and superimposed this construct on the universe, and it fitted perfectly that it seemed like it was already a part of it.

Even with that said, i have no reason to believe maths is an intrinsic part of the universe, the same way i dont believe being red is an actual property of an apple. We just evolved brains able to perceive certain wavelengths with hue, so it is with maths, its a construct from our biological history that helped us make sense of the world in which we live in.

Why it explains the universe in great details?, i dont know, but i do know that it is a construct, a representation of reality and it works perfectly. It just makes you marvel at the power of the human brain.

Finally, imagine an highly advanced alien race that evolved in a far more different setting than we did, do you think they would also use maths to study the universe?, or do they have a far more better construct that explains the universe far more better than mathematics could ever do?

I am sure, if you went back a few hundred years back, you would see people sacrificing their first borns so that the gods would send down rain...In the southern part of Nigeria, Twins were an abomination and said to bring badluck by the so-called spirits and gods these people worshipped, that was why they killed them.
You obviously dont believe in these things(or do you?), i doubt any sane person in this modern era believes in these things, Rain falls whether you kill your first born or not, and there is no reason to believe that twins are badluck for their parents... I dont doubt that people carry out rituals, i just dont see how killing someone would change the fate of the universe to make you rich just the same way killing your first born would make rain fall...

Lol, Water is colorless(i really hope you are aware of this), thats another basic primary school science, the sea appears blue because of the reflected light from the sky, the sky appears blue and so does the sea...why does the sky appears blue?, thats because the light scattered by Nitrogen atoms is in the blue wavelength(Nitrogen is the abundant element in our atmosphere).

Spirits sometimes make themselves visible depending on their assignments. We have seen situations where angels appeared to men in the past. I told you of how I saw spirits in a house.

smh... Now this is a supernatural claim, you claim spirits are beings with consciousness but are immaterial, when all that we know of conscious beings are material and visible, when i go out in the morning, i see conscious beings and i can interact with them.
Now if you want me or any scientifically inclined person to take you seriously, then you have to provide evidence of that supernatural claim, you cant just say "you saw" and expect us to believe it when none of that happens in our everyday lives.

i go back to the alien abduction case, some people claims they were abducted by Aliens, but so far as we know, there havent been any proof of aliens, so if someone makes a claim like that, he better have strong evidence to back his claim orelse he would be thrown to a mental facility, thats the exact case with your supernatural, spirit and angel claims...am i clear enough?
