Ishilove: Thanks for this exposé. In my case it was malaria that resisted all the drugs I took to the point I almost died and my urine turned red. At the clinic the doctor told me I had 'resistant malaria' and we are having more and more cases of this kind of malaria. He said the plasmodium parasite was developing immunity to the common drugs in the market.
I had to be treated entirely with injections. No tabs
Next time use Agbo Iba ... Antibiotics resistant is very real now ... it happened to me .. Agbojedi (Antibiotics) helps !
oluwaseyi0: The unfortunate thing I've notice about our politicians is that they only canvas for that will benefit their office, all these governors are the one who came together against local government autonomy and I'm sure even if this fayemi becomes president he won't hand over more resources to state and less to the presidency they will rather amass more to their current office, they all know the right thing but will never do them
Same reason we will never have unicameral legislative, the thieves in the house won't agree to what won't pay them
NOBODY IS WILLING TO MAKE NEEDED SACRIFICE
All of them sabi talk good ooo but give them the opportunity to implement what dem talk ... na so dem go start to misbehave ... start to beat up the people that empower them !
Loveurneighbour: There is a problem with the Nigeria Security Architecture
They all received bad trainings and are more trained to combat civilians than criminals and terrorists...
The trainings are also too harsh physically and not mindedly so all of them are all fvcked in the brain ...
How can a sane soldier have hatred for the same civilian he is trained to protect.... That's wrong training architecture, wrong manual, processes and procedure!
AlexBells: This man, is like he wants to be grounded again, he just dey soro soke
They call him back to soro soke because they realised he was right ... I think Ganduje is having a in house problem with Buhari ... Challeeeeee... Buhari is a very stubborn President for Good and for bad !
IamD18: The likes of Desmond Elliot, Yahaya Bello and Elisha Abbo have so many times proven the fact that an average Nigerian youth is no different from the old men in the Government.
They've so many times proven that corruption in Nigeria isn't just about our aged politicians but a general thing.
We saw how our various SUG officials operated in school, how coursereps, lodge presidents and the rest operated. We all saw the corruption there. If you think this generation will politically do better than this current aged politicians, then you are clueless.
An average Nigerian is tribalistic, oppressive, selfish and corrupt. It's in almost all the sectors in this country and it'll take decades for this country to be free from the aforementioned.
Know this and know peace.
And just so you know; 98.485% of Nigerians condemning Desmond Elliot will do the same, they'll rather choose the interest of their political mentors and Godfathers who will politically help and connect them than the interest of the masses.
Nbotee: E b lyk dem swear with all dis useless politicians with crocodile tears.. U think someone has sense and once dey join politics ; Booooom!!!! Dem don mumu...
He is a liar ... He should be relegated politically and as a celebrity .... He never even mentioned souls that were lost from same "Children" ... He accused his fellow celebrities who are championing the cause for growth and development... He is a thief and a monster feeding big from people's wealth !
nograv: Thanks for taking the time to write to me..
But One please stop swearing at me otherwise I wont continue talking to you.. I havent abused you once..
Two I gave my CV so to speak to show that we can achieve anything we want as a race. In fact coding and trading has allowed me to build a company and I have employed people the kind of thing I think you would like to see.
Three I said I pitied you, because I thought that you saw blacks as less intelligent than whites genetically. You dont so I apologise..
I actually agree with most of the points you made. I made some of the exact same points as you before. But unfortunately you were too angry to see them.
The main points I took from your last post were..
Knowledge, I agree the 1% in this nation happily keep information to themselves to maintain their economic position. If every Agbero knew how to code it would be harder for them to dominate IT for example..
Also I agree with you, just having knowledge isnt enough. A man can be learned but still not wise. I agree divination systems have advanced mathematics, but it is practical application that makes the difference.. So we are agreed..
I have lost track of how many useless uncles have told me they have a degree in this or that. My immediate question even as a child was "but are you practising? Are you actually a lawyer engineer etc".. Everytime I received no response and my uncles would then say "chai what kind pikin be dis??"
I already said that today western society is more progressive than almost all African societies.. But their are some bright spots. Look at Rwanda under Paul Kwagame, he has banned references to tribes in his country and is trying to follow a Singaporean road map.. Likewise Eithiopia is also trying...
I am not some Afrocentrist saying everything in Africa is great it isnt.. I am the first that compared to us. Europeans may nick ideas from other cultures, but they enhance them. Take the gun, the chinese invented gunpowder.. Indians made the first military rockets under Tipu Sultan.. But it was Europeans who enhanced these technologies making the machine gun that allowed them to conquer the globe or developed rocket technology to ultimately take man to space..
Culture I would agree African cultures and more precisely Nigerian cultures are broken..
When people complain about Buhari, as ask them did you not vote to give him a second term?? Then I tell them blame yourself..
Likewise I agree our people are often shortsighted an greedy.. This is indeed a problem, but it is also a byproduct of the economic environment. Trust me go to Russia and you will now see the same behaviour. Russians were not like this in the past. But economic hardship changed their behaviour.
I agree tho some blacks do seem to have a propensity towards laziness. I with you have never understood it.. Take lagos, every year it floods, do you know one reason it does is because we no longer dredge the harbour, lowering the level of the sea bed close to the city. The British did this without fail every year. As soon as they left, slowly but surely the worst of the Nigerian mindset began to show itself. At first they dredged less, then stopped dredging altogether pocketing the money. Then ultimately money was no longer sent for dredging as no one did it anymore..
Another good example is the parkview area in Lagos. Lagos once had a beautiful city park left by the British on Lagos Island. Parks have been proven to lower stress and relax the body. That is why in both Asia and the west, houses next to parks have higher house prices.. What did we Nigerians do, we sold the land and built houses one it.. The parkview estate is now all that is left of that once great park.
I wont lie I have absorbed some of what I would call a northern European mindset. You finish what you start, work hard and maintain what you have. Values that I have noticed some of my family doesnt have. As they flit from thing to thing simply because they think it will make them money..
It ties into your point about service stations and motels.. It isnt just about sex, its mental laziness Nigerians often like to do what is easy. Rather than do what is hard. It took me years to become a good programmer, for minimum financial gain initially. Very few Naija folks would have persisted for so long. They just want to make money to flex benz and chase babes.. But again you can see this behaviour in the west too..
So yes the culture needs a change and a revolution is probably required. I agree with you the whole mindset in Nigeria needs to change. That wont happen in a day, the rot has been for so long since independence.
I had an uncle who joked "To fix Nigeria, you would need to kill every Nigerian above the age of 10 and start again.."
I dont agree with this of course, but it would take a lot to fix the Nigerian mindset..
Thanks for bringing me back to Normalcy because I'm already on full geared armoured fingers ... I also ignored your posts with the expectation that it's composed of attacks but I was wowed by all your submissions .....
check below, that's Desmond Elliot , a dude that was literally begging Ramsey Noah for roles in the beginning of venturing into Nigerian movie now He is a Politician ....
Watch and see him calling protesters "Children" without "Culture" .... Saying Culture has gone.,
Did u see him addressing the problems no, he was addressing the symptoms and that's how they all think .... Once you joined the political elite , they and their children are like cancer, they infect you easily or you become outcast ...
Also thanks for embracing my salient points , what makes you tick was your origin but what drives you was the system you saw in Europe now combined with your origin you will definitely surpassed the children of whites since you are committed and they never had your background ...
What's difficult for them is very easier for you because you have experienced more difficult scenes from your origin either something that affect you personally or your neighbour ....
Conclusively, Forget about my gragra, Financial trading, Crypto and Programming are stuffs I'd like to see in due time ...
I think our myopia has to do with opulence ... The elite used to have brain when they are poor but once they are in power , all sense of reasoning evades them .....
How can people pay tax , elect or appoint you to manage their commonwealth ... Then you turn the resources into your personal thing and started killing those you meant to account to ... When they ask questions they become hoodlums... See Desmond ooo !
Social media is a vast sea of uncharted territory and regardless of its benefits, it has proven countless times to be deadly - a potential weapon of mass destruction - that lacks any clear stringent regulatory laws to curtail its excesses.
And irrespective of what you and I may think now, let it be clear that a time will surely come when the world will collectively agree that this hydra-headed monster called social media must be reigned in to mitigate against future man-made disasters.
If we are committed and dedicated to development and progress ... Social media can never put Nigerians against her government ...
Imagine a Nigeria where soldiers will kill civilians and the entire social media will say No, Nigerian Army will never kill Nigerian citizen... kpatakpata they will arrest him or her ....
ohhh, Nigerian police can never flout rule of engagement...
Oh. No, our armies are well trained and highly disciplined , they can never cock guns against non weapon bearing civilians ....
engrchykae: Silly useless scientist or biological murderer? Tomorrow he will weaponise his research and the world will experience another mass death. The only thing Caucasians think is weapons, they believe whoever has the superior killing method has power. Caucasians are the numero uno terrorists
Aswear, it's just business .... Capitalism is a crime against humanity !
OriOko88: Na dem sabi. If okonjo wins or not, it adds no economic impact to Nigeria. D other nigga at afdp, adesina, what as his position brought to Nigeria. If she wins or not, its a win win situation for me cos it has no direct positive impact on me
it will but the incidence might be low, but it will impact Nigerian trade and which shall impact you as a Nigerian!!
Hambivert: Sparogatively, in the 21st century some of our people still do this, but only in an advanced level. Some of our people now bury their dead with cars, so they'd drive in the afterlife.
Verily, when this civilisation end .. Because we may end before planet earth .... New generations will see range rovers buried with human being in Africa and they will think Africa produces Range Rover in earliest civilisation.....
They will never know na import we import am from US until they see Innoson Vehicle ... They will see many aeroplanes and ships inside the ocean ... Many tall buildings and Skyscrappers ...
We never understand life finish... it is beyond our cognition but we have tried and emerge !
fineboynl: buhari is already preparing for war oh against Nigerian,. making amend and pleasing the neighbors he really have a bad advisers. all if a sudden the West Africans have paid Nigeria their electricity debt and magically they are generating 13,000 megawatts of electricity to supply Chad.
You are getting it ... add this to Train connection between Nigeria and Niger ... We all go dey alright for anyhow that says they don't know what they are doing .... Even if you bring from them their elite, it's still the same economic and political direction ... It's the other part that doesn't know what they are doing and laslas.... when the future matured , you will know you are all ill prepared..... The other parts should keep scamming, spending and wasting their future's resources!!
Ferlis: Good day all. I had to create this account to post this. I need help urgently. PLS I DON'T NEED ANY MONEY. I just need advice and guidance. I'm not myself right now. I'll try to be brief
I turned 27 last week, finished my service in March and work with a private company. I actually started working here after school and 'worked' my posting to serve here and I'm still here. My salary was increased to 200k per month shortly before the lockdown but I'm required to work everyday (mon-sun). No break. Work is going well and I'm okay with the long working hours. No issue
Problem I have is that I'm constantly thinking and worried about my health and future. Nobody except my immediate family is aware that I have a chronic medical condition. I have to inject myself twice daily (morning and night). Sometimes I skip a dose cos I'm fed up but the symptoms become unbearable so I have no choice but to continue with them. Doctors say its hereditary but my parents are fine. Well, my health is not even the issue, I only mentioned it so you'd understand me better
The main problem I have is I constantly feel worthless and depressed. I've been saving since I finished school but only have close to two million naira in savings so far. I tried getting my own apartment but my parents insist it's not wise since my workplace is very close to home and that I shouldn't start incurring so much expenses now
Well, how long will I keep saving before I'm financially stable to afford a good apartment? How long till I'm able to afford a car? Get married and establish my own business?
I'm an introvert and this constant worry has made me withdrawn even more from others. No single friend. I'm even tired of this life. Sometimes I wish I would sleep and wake up a child so I don't have to worry anymore. Other times, I wish I can just sleep and not even wake up.
The least grade I got in school was 'C' which was rare. Mostly 'A' or 'B'. Yet I would constantly cry and feel worse than even those that failed or were going to probate. People hated me for that but it's beyond my control
Let me stop here. Pls, what can I do to be happy and feel good about myself? I'm always worried, sad and frowning my face. Where can I find a therapist, counselor or psychologist cos I feel something is wrong with my brain. It gets so bad I start having intense headaches. Pls I'm tired. I just want this feeling to stop
That's the result of work, work and work without play ... Your brain is tired and fatigue ... Get into sport e.g football, gym, swimming , table tennis , long tennis .... Just try to diversify your life .... Also get a female buddy kinda chat mate or male buddy that reason along your philosophy....
you are just lonely ... and your brain is tired of playing with itself ... you need to let yourself out .... visit the beach ... watch the ocean (Pls don't jump inside oo ) .... Watch people play .... watch children play ... visit the orphanage ... see downtrodden folks ... see kids without home ....
Your brain will be diversified ... release new hormones that will make you feel better !
See the above comments of most nairaland members I dey shame for una....most of you attributing her being alive to God
Let me tell you all a secret a person's chances of surviving a bullet in da head depend on the areas of the head that are struck by the bullet and the velocity of the bullet
People are talking God, you are talking Science ... .. God redirect the velocity of the bullet to hit non critical points ... shikena !! oya talk again na
dokie: It was something so easy to handle. But Buhari, being an accomplished failure, couldn't handle it.
However, considering that many are beginning to say that the man at the villa is a clone or is completely demented and only follows orders, who are we to blame poor Bubu of "unblessed" memory?
What would the president have done? Hold a physical meeting with the frontiers (state or location coordinators) of the End SARs protests 7 days into the protests which would be covered by all major media houses in the country. Those to be present at the meeting apart from the president and the youth representatives would include the Inspector General of Police, the leadership of the National Assembly, and all the state governors.
1. I would chair the meeting, read out an agenda and invite the youths to propose for inclusion into the agenda anything they felt was necessary to discuss, and adopt the agenda for the meeting.
2. We begin very elaborate and robust discussions on every issue on the agenda. The ones we can achieve as a government, we agree. The ones we can't , we give water-tight reasons why we can't achieve them.
3. All agreements made would have delivery timelines, and responsibilities would be assigned. Members of the government who have responsibilities must commit to meeting up with their deliverables within the timelines agreed or lose their jobs.
4. When timelines and responsibilities have been assigned, i would now request of the youths to immediately notify their comrades to cease protests and monitor the timelines with an agreement that if the government does not meet the timelines, the protests can continue.
5. End the meeting and immediately commence implementation.
I do not see how any reasonable person would continue protests after that.
The movement had no leader, the protests had. The Lekki gathering was being coordinated by a group, same goes for Alausa. Their representatives would be invited. Enugu protests was led by people, they should attend. Rivers' protest had leaders, they should attend. Abuja had leaders, they should attend. If the president made a broadcast inviting all these coordinators to attend, they would have gathered themselves in Abuja long ago. Didnt Davido attend a meeting with the I.G?
The truth is that we have very inept leaders, and Buhari is the most inept of them all. He would have saved this situation long ago if he had the will to make positive change. Quite unfortunately, he's only interested in being called Mr. President. Having achieved that, everything else means nothing to him.
Our Portion.
They also know all these you typed but they don't give a fvck as they see bunch of street urchins until International community beamed their search light and that's when they started taking it serious .... I'm not surprised by their actions sha !!
Mykaelz001: I think is time for these citizens to realize that shooting on fellow citizens looking for their daily bread isn't the way forward...why don't they carry the madness to the senators and other politicians that are making life miserable and frustrating for the common man
That's where sense comes in for everything we are doing ... but Dem get sense so
Zico5: Government of the North and for the North alone. These people make it seems as if the south is deficient when it comes to public service. I don't Blame them, the fault is of the federal character commission that's already dead. If not where are Yoruba and Igbo that are sound in every area. Quota system has destroyed a lot of things in this nation.
Just pray for us not to have civil war ... These are the pilots that will fly payloads over Southern Nigeria ....
Chaiiiii..... Lai still wants to regulate social media !
densiks: There are clear and existential threats to public peace and order by the monster of fake news but there’s also the competing and prevailing force of authentic news if certain measures are taken by social media users.
The information regulatory bodies should concern themselves with advocacy for verifying information before it is circulated.
As far as I’m concerned government over time has proven to be the highest purveyors of fake news as they continuously engage in peddling half truths and outright lies to advance their narrative of looting and injustice against the interests of the masses.
In saner climes Lai Mohammed should have been removed from such a sensitive office due to his track record of spreading falsehood and hallucination inspired comments.
If they tamper with social media, people will protest beyond EndSars .... Freedom of Speech is a fundamental constitutional right as well as Freedom of Association.....
If not for Endsars and social media, how would people know most state governors are hiding palliative !
