Hello everyone,
I am in dire need of your honest advice. I am a fan of Nairaland but created this because of identity.
I am a medical student studying medicine in one of the public universities in Nigeria. When the ASUU strike newly started, I started looking for things to do and clients to work for. Fortunately, I got two clients who pay me about 200K per month since April. It varies; last month, I earned 199K, this month will be 220K+ if I work harder.
I have saved most of the money to write professional exams.
However, my school still conducts lectures through Zoom and we have not had rest since the strike started. We do have classes from 8am till 5pm except on some days. I am about three months back and our test is coming up soon.
Please do you advise I quite my 200k/per month and focus on my studies seeing that i have lots of materials to read and prepare for my test?
P.S: I have tried balancing but the freelance work is highly demanding. What do i do please?

Front page material. Let us be honest, all federal hospitals in Nigeria are like this, with some degree of difference. University of Ilorin teaching hospital claimed my dad's file could not be found this same year each time we went there for his cardiac clinic... they kept telling us that shit for weeks, thereby preventing him from receiving treatment.

One day I got tired of the whole thing and abused them verbally especially those in charge of records without any regards for their age.

I recorded the whole thing planned to upload it to the internet. Then I went to servicom and created another scene too. The servicom woman begged me and pacified me to calm down. She seemed to know all those people at records and doesnt want to file a query against them. We went there together, the servicom lady spoke to them, they became jittery when they realized I was ready to go sny length with them. I kept recording the whole conversation we had because I planned to sue the MD of the hospital and the person in charge of records for incompetence. And I knew with a court summon letter, they would do the needful.

But alas! In less than 10 minutes, the file that was presumably missing for weeks came out!

The servicom woman begged me again and went with me back to the cardiac clinic. That day, my dad didnt wait in line at all. She fast tracked the whole thing and even apologized to my dad on behalf of people at records.
