Hello All!

Please I have a question. Is there anyone here that has his or her medicals updated on or before May 15, 2021 and yet to get a decision?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 12:03pm On Aug 09, 2021
This particular guy, Jack Harris of Saint John's East, Newfoundland and Labrador is about to retire from federal politics. I sent him an email sometime ago and he gave me detailed feedback from IRCC, albeit after saying he doesn't really look into outland applications. I follow CBC.ca/NL live news on YouTube every working day. It airs at around 10pm our time, so I know a lot of local occurrences there. I'd advise you take to up with immigration minister.

It'd end in praise.

childgodly:
I sent a mail to the MP and this was the response:

Thanks for your correspondence to Mr. Harris’ office.

We are unable to send enquiries on overseas application due to volume. We have asked Nairobi VAC to generally proceed with these applications.

Hopefully yours and other applications will be processed soon and we will be happy to help when you arrive in Canada should you need anything. I recommend that you get in touch with your educational institution to let them know that you have not received a response yet.

Thanks. Any word on how soon?

MadeMan01:
I am on same shoes with you.
I however researched online to discover leaders of Italy, Canada and Germany combined vaccine Astra Zeneca Oxford and Moderna.

I hope one can combine here, even though the govt said they don't advise that, or New batch of Astra Zeneca come soon

Good morning NLs.

I have a question...
Are there still some Atrazenica doses in Lagos? This one that I'm hearing what is now available is Moderna. For Christ sake, Covishield Atrazenica was my first dose and I hope to get my second shot this week. Please share if you know a centre that is still administrating Covishield Atrazenica.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 11:28pm On Aug 05, 2021
I am starting to think that those guys in Nairobi are not part of IRCC.

afomon12:
August 6 is tomorrow! Hope IRCC will not fall our hands tomorrow? Can they really be trusted? Lets see how it goes!!!

I'm beginning to feel somehow about this people's August 6 promise. My application was submitted April 8. It'd be four months in three days time.

This sounds more like statement of intent for post graduate application to me

Yusufibrahimde7:
Goodmorning everyone ,
It might help
A great Personal Statement/SOP should have about 5/ 6 paragraphs.
Paragraph 1: Introduce your problem statement and connect it to why you want to study that course.
Paragraph 2: Talk about your educational background, and your undergrad research experiences, and how it has
prepared you for the proposed course.
Paragraph 3: Talk about your leadership, volunteering, and other extracurricular activities. It will be good if these experiences are connected to your intended course.
Paragraph 4: Talk more about your research interest and mention the supervisor you have contacted(This is very important). Explain why you want to work with the person. Be specific about your research interest. I will post the remaining tips .

Google is everyone's friend. Try to befriend it:

Civic Holiday - Monday, August 2, 2021. It's one of the Canadian Holidays observed y IRCC.

lawfree638:
Today's current holiday doesn't affect IRCC.

IRCC is a national parastatal not provincial.

It goes to show that these Canadian schools are hungry. Was the second paragraph explained to you before you paid?

Lekiboboe:
Which school is that?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 5:28pm On Jul 31, 2021
Sorry about this. Quickly get a trusted person to pay on your behalf or if you know someone with a dollar card of any Nigerian Bank to meet deadline. I also will advise you send a main to Her Majesty's Police yo report the agent.

possessor1:
PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT

IRCC just messaged me and told me that I have a debt of 235 dollars.

that I need to pay this before they continue with my application.

how do I approach this?

what do I do?

Gurus please I need your counsel...does calling someone in Canada to quickly pay affect my application in anyway?

NB I used an agent when I applying.... He made the payments.

When did you apply?

Please I need that Marco's mail too. I dey vex
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 10:32am On Jul 29, 2021
Send a mail of displeasure to Marco or whatever his name is. That's their immigration minister.

This behaviour is so unacceptable. After paying for the service, one is not being treated right as a client. IRCC owes you a duty of feedback within the agreed period of processing. Aswearugad! that's what I will do if my application remains unanswered by August 9, 2021. I applied April 8, 2021. No be their fault actually.... Na them Buhari.

Good day, guys.
This has been a wonderful platform. Since I joined, I've been able to learn as much as I can, though I've been a silent reader. Thanks for your informative words, good spirit, kindness...love, etc.

My rejection letter came today. It was based on my home tie, personal and financial status.
Pls, gurus, I need your response.
@shuppy and others...you are allowed to talk.

Which type of GCMS note should I order?
How much?
Thanks for your kind gesture!
I choose to remain positive and hopeful.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 6:19pm On Jul 26, 2021
It will end in praise.

RollyA:
mine i think was majorly cos i did not give a reason for rejecting the request, or maybe i should just have ignored it without saying anything. my bank was on the list of mybankstatement users so in their head, what is the excuse.

it may not be something to be scared about. i just stressed the fact that from research, they really like to see cash naira or dollar, fixed deps and co documents are preferred maybe for 2nd year if course is 2 years.

this is just my opinion and experience it does not mean i am totally correct.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 6:07pm On Jul 26, 2021
Hmmm... This scares me cos I have my POF in mutual funds and bonds. That can be liquidated at the earliest instance.

RollyA:
so i was refused for this same reason in my first application.

If you could take a cue, in my notes, it was as though the visa officer tried to say i did not provide evidence of my financial status. till today, i still say i cant understand the vo's concerns cos i knew that was not true. but i figured the nse request may have been the deal breaker. I got the request but responded that i couldnt provide it, i did not state a reason. cos for me i felt, you guys have my bank statement, fixed deposits, pension statements, mutual fund statement. thats enough. lol.

I honestly did not want to break my fixed deposit. lol

Although i havent gotten PPR but i am hopeful, so what i did differently was to make my mum a co-sponsor (my uncle was my main sponsor for my first application), the money she paid, i used it to immediately pay my tuition so i paid like 85% of my tuition and i still had over 30k cad cash (liquidated into my bank this time) from my first application intact.

I showed all this using the mybankstatement i kuku did not want to provide the first time. lol. i did mybankstatements for my sponsor and myself.

i will recommend you wait for your notes but pending the time, it does not hurt to pay more tuition if not all while you wait.
But i have learnt from research, they really like liquid cash over fixed deposit and the likes. goodluck though
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by dotoracs: 2:40pm On Jul 26, 2021
It's usually between 2-3 months after the expiration date of application for the program one applied for.
