Good day gurus, please can anyone help me compare these two cars 2011 rav4 vs 2012 camry. They both fall within the same price Range and I'm a bit confused on which to get.

If u love it go for it,just top oil when it goes low shikina!!

U don't need to cover any part, just ensure it dries properly before u mount into ur car. (Say 30mins) If u can't get the MAF cleaner and intend using isopropyl alcohol (moko) , pour it into a container with spray nozzle (empty clean perfume bottle). Spray and air dry that's all.

Hello Oga Gazzuzz, Good day and Happy Sunday.

I recently changed three of the tires in my Toyota Camry 2011, it’s not been up to a week. Everything has been fine until I drove out to the express today and the low pressure light came on in the dashboard. I drove to a nearby vulcanizer who confirmed all the tires are full, I asked him what pressure is in them he said 45(I guess he means 45 psi) in all the tires. We tried to figure what the issue is to no avail, I asked him to reduce the pressure to 40psi which he did on all 4 wheels yet the light didn’t go.

I checked online and the recommended pressure is 32PSI for the tire(215/60R16), so I asked him to reduce it further, he said it will be very low, so I left it like that.

Could his be a tire issue?
is the pressure too much?
could this be a pressure sensor issue?
Or could it be the replacement tires (tokunbo) were not fixed properly?

Probably one of the 4 tpms is faulty,a scanner capable of communicating with tpms would reveal the defective pressure sensor.

You see, Nigerian films are some of the most seen in Africa and elsewhere in the world because we like it. Nigerian music displaced American hip hop and R&B in Nigeria's clubs, parties and radio stations because the former administration enacted and implemented local content laws. Today, Nigerian music has grown to the level of winning Grammy awards.

My point is, we need to encourage local content development as a way of strengthening our country and creating jobs. However, other sectors have to follow suit, including the health and education sectors to end medical tourism and overseas education respectfully. While at it, they must improve our system significantly.

Don't forget most of theses companies are multinationals, so if sprite Canada does an avert on CNN sprite Nigeria would pay for it

I intend to change my Radiator from what it came with to a double cell radiator. Honestly I don't know if the radiator that came with the car is single or double cell.

The car is to Toyota Camry LE 2012.

If I change it , please do I also need to change the water pump ?

What is the problem with the current radiator? If ur cooling system has no issue,I'll advice u let the car be.

I think it's coming from the tire area.

It happens when I put the pedal to the metal (i.e when I'm driving on high speed)

Did u install brake pads of recent?

Further information would help in narrowing down the cause, where exactly do u pick up the smell, inside ur car, under ur hood, exhaust, ur tire area. When next u drive at high speed stop and trace the location of the smell.

I'll assume u know little or nuthang about cars, both cars listed are not in the same class no bases for comparison. With that said, I'll advice u go for entry level cars(the corolla) if it's ur first ride. Easy to fix and maintain, wasn't built for lauxry( just a point A to B car). Good fuel economy.

What type of grease can be suitable for the servicing of stuck brake caliper pins.

A Silicon based grease would do the job,don't forget to sand the pin to get rid of corrosion. In the absence of silicon based lubricant, use engine oil( don't quote me).
Avoid dirty flooded waters, 99% of the time it's alwys the culprit to stuck brake caliper.

The customer is alwys the boss, but some customers could be rilly annoying.

I said I wouldn't comment till I hear from both sides, we'll gazzuzz has spoken, from the agreement u were given 3 months warranty or 3k miles which ever comes first, on noticing the oil shortage u simply return the engine as stated in the agreement and he has also accepted to take out the engine and give you a refund. What exactly is the issue??.
Give oga he's engine and take ur money I see nuthang dubious here.

Although I agree with u the car is expensive but the cost of a car is dependent on its state, I have a frnd who got an 03 Corolla toks 2 months ago and since he got th car he's life has never been the same, from one Mechanic to another. What's my point "some" naija used( well maintained ) are as good if not better than "some" toks. The key word is "maintenence".

My junior max rope suddenly won't budge.
More like something is stuck in the engine.

It all started when I put it on and it sounded unusually loud, only for me to see the oil indicator light.

I proceeded to change oil, then tried starting, and found the rope firmly stuck. I doubt it's a stuck rope.

Is there any fault that could make an engine stuck?

Definitely a stuck crank shaft inside ur crank case, u would need to tear down the engine and take a look inside to knw the extent of parts to be replaced. It's not as bad as it sounds. If ur mechanically inclined it's sumthing u can do with little guidance. Experienced similar situation exactly as urs, was low on engine oil topped the little one I had with plans of servicing later in the week...2hrs into operation heard a loud metal to metal clap sound and boom engine went off. And wouldn't start cos the rope kidda seemed stuck. Long story short I tore the engine down replaced my crack shaft cos i noticed some defects on inspection(2k for a new crankshaft).purchased some seals and gasket. Coupled the engine and it ran like new aftrwrds. Spent less than 3k in total doing it myself.

There this practise I observed around the western region( sagamu to be specific) the columns of a story building aren't extended to roof base (ie colums are casted only to the suspended slab). What's ur take on such design.

This is not the first time that has happened.

The pilot I suspect must have dumped his fuel in anticipation of a crash in an urban area. No pilot will fly with inadequate fuel and if it so happens to be so, would have made an emergency landing in an open area.

Thirdly, the AIB coming out with this statement of the pilot not having a valid liscence is following the earlier NCAA's very unprofessional utterance long before AIB came out with their prelimunary report, that the helicopter in question was not approved for flight operations by them.

Then how come an aircraft that was not approved for operations was being operated within Nigerian airspace by an unqualified Pilot?

These NCAA idiots don't know they are even indicting themselves for failing to do their job.

This is not the first time the useless NCAA has been in the eye of the storm. This same NCAA came out to tell us that the black box for Bellview Airliner that mysteriously crashed somewhere around Ibadan airspace in 2005 was stolen from their office in Lagos.

I have met and interacted with several of these NCAA badged agents and I can tell you 90% of them have no businesss working in aviation talk more of being regulators.

As for AIB, does ones do not have a single clue.

My opinion of the timeline of events is as follows:.

1. Pilot notices a major fault

2. Pilot contacts Ikeja ATC notifying them of an emergency

3. Pilot dumps fuel in anticipation of a forced landing in an urban area

4. Pilot must have lost engine power or rudder control or both

5. Chopper can't be controlled by pilot and goes into a spin (highlighting loss od rudder control)

6. Chopper crashes

7. Onlookers swarm the site

8. Police do nothing to secure the crash site.

9. Airline representatives visit site and ecuavate black box

10. AIB cones in and as clueless as they are come out with their useless conclusion

Did u read tru the report from AIB, the crashed helicopter has no capacity for jetisomming, meaning it's not capable of dumping fuel mid flight and yet it's tank was empty at the crash sight. Meaning it must have ran out of fuel.

If its a V6 yes but for 4 cylinder the 5w20 AA is okay and would take you for 6 months or 12000km whichever comes first.

What is stated on your oil cap?5W20 or 5W30?

The 07-09 2az-fe is known to burn oil, 5w20 would significantly increase the rate at which oil burn occurs. 5w30 would be much better if it's an I4.

Though I don't know th cause of the accident but I can agree with u that a large amount of car crash on our high way is due to reckless driving and over speeding.
Nigerians are the most impatient and careless sets of drivers u can encounter. Most times I find it difficult to understand. The funny aspect is the fact they tend to be more reckless on bad roads and in traffic.
