All I see is a hole dug beneath the soil, how u do trap the biogas for use,how do u get rid of the digestate product of breakdown?. Down to the chemistry, would there be enough food waste from kitchen sink that can be broken down into gas(can't remember when last I flushed food waste down my kitchen sink, it's mostly soapy water from washing of plates) Which then leads to the final question what are the effects of detergents and other chemicals flushed into the kitchen sink on the bacteria needed for breakdown. |

avurlerby: I have a tokunbo Toyota camry 03 that I just started using. Everything is going on smoothly with it. Over the weekend I notice the picture below on the dashboard after washing the car.
What could this mean and what can I do to make it dissappear. Thanks Its a malfunction indicator warning light, meaning ur car has detected some faults that requires attention. You would need to scan post codes and help would come ur way...in another news I don't buy the idea of washing engine, a simple clean with soap, water and rag would suffice. |

uboma: Hehehehe.
You weren't ready for the road trip but opened a thread about it.
Whichever means you choose to travel, do have a safe trip. A 12 hrs trip with spare fuel pump, spark plugs and 2 etrxa tire speaks volume of the car. OP if u ain't certain about the condition of ur car u might wanto start by embarking on shorter trips say 2-3hrs observe the performance and know what u might need to fix before embarking on longer distance. |

The site in question is in enugu (close to lomainda estate), I've been to ECDA(capital development) office at the new state secretariat but they seem lackadaisical toward guiding me tru the process.(typical behaviour of civil servants). I would appreciate if I could get a reliable contact or a tip or two from u. I would kick start the project next year Jan and wouldn't want obstruction from these guys. |

adanny01: So, once again, I have made series of trials yesterday and have arrived at a conclusion.
First, I sanded the last paint with soft sandpaper. I was able to experience the difference between wet and dry sanding. I must confess, as small as the part was, sanding took some time and effort to even out. So, I can only imagine how stressful it would be to sand an entire car.
Secondly, I bought the paint in same quantity but with more thinner. I proceeded to paint the base coat.
The result of this stage was a cause for concern. I wasn't satisfied with the base coat again like last time. I added more thinner, did another coat and the result became poorer.
I proceeded to buy more thinner, washed the new coats of paint. The thinner even washed other previous coats and left an uneven surface. I did another round of sanding, bought and sprayed another coat of base coat. This time, it was presentable but not of the quality I was looking towards.
At the end, I sprayed the clear coat which came out very good.
In conclusion of the trial session, the problem experienced is spraying the base coat. The clear coat comes out neat and smooth devoid of orange peel. The base coat is not smooth at all no matter the amount of thinner applied.
The final resolution arrived at is that, I have no issue with clear coat but have serious issues with base coat. The clear coat being thicker. The main reason for such a result though is the nozzle size. I did mention before the trial that recommended nozzle size is 1.3-1.5mm. My spray gun has only one nozzle of 2.5mm which is quite large to give a good result especially with the base coat. Until I am able to find an appropriate sized nozzle, am afraid I won't get a good result. Been following this thread for quite some time and I'm loving ur DIY Spirit cos we share similar traits but for real I don't think painting an entire vehicle is an easy DIY task,if it were just the bumper or fender I'll give my full support but doing a full body spray job; I'll advice u leave it to the experts. |
