It's disheartening to see nigeria deteriorate to this level, and it's even more worrisome how people still support and cheer terrorist. This was how bokoharam started in the North now we have unknown gun men in the east. If we must solve this crisis we must see ourselves as one Nigeria and stop tribalizing terrorism. Cos definitely its gonna spread all over the country, at that point it's impossible to tackle. |
kaysea4lov:Yes I did, I can't give a detailed feed back cos I'm yet to move into the building. But I'll advice u don't install dem in high traffic area like entrance to hall way, kitchen, etc. U can use them for rooms. When I move in and put th doors tru series of stress I'll come back with a feedback. |
Akerewe:Aiit...apologies, ur explanation makes sense |
Akerewe:Is the price of tiles a secrete?? Kindly drop the price here so others can be informed. |
Agugbadin:Lol....u guys don't seem to understand the situation of that mega project. These companies are just here to make money out of the project. Even if jesus comes down from heaven to support that project,it won't see the light of the day. Ajeokuta steel production is not commercially viable. Due to the following 1) coal deposits in Nigeria cannot be used to produce coke which is one of the major raw materials needed to produce pig iron. An alternative is to use a different technology (direct reduction process using natural gas which we have in abundance) 2) low ferrous content of iron ore deposits. Since we can't use the blast furnce approach due to the quality of coal deposit, we could still produce pig iron using direct reduction process but now here is the drawback, direct reduction process requires iron ore with ferrous content greater than 70%. ( ours here is less than 40%) 3) low exploration of raw materials- so let's assume the germans somehow find a way to maneuver these challenges stated earlier,we do not even have enough raw materials on ground to support commercial operations of the blast furnace;once the furnace starts operation,it is designed to run continuously for over 10 to 15 years without shut down, where do we get the raw material to support the furnace. 4. Not commercially viable to import raw materials- so let's say somehow the plant starts operation and we decide to import raw material to support local exploration, the cost of steel from that plant will be so expensive and not economically visible;its gonna be cheaper to import steel from Antarctica than to produce at ajeokuta. The list of challenges is endless, the most sensible thing to do is to scrap that project and count our losses. This is not politics but economics, science and common sense. But in this part of the world politics comes first. |
PressMyButton:Everything about that plant was flawed from the onset, LOCATION, BLAST FURNACE TECHNOLOGY (Enugu coal cannot Be used to produce coke,a necessary raw material for reduction process in blast furnace operation cos Enugu coal deposite ain't " cokeable" ) ETC. In summery that plant cannot work irrespective of who's in power, peter obi,Atiku, jagaban. The honorable minister should know better and if she decides to ignore the obvious then its gonna end up like just another white elephant project. Feasible studay has been done but they all chose to ignore but rather use it as a money milking project. Please do take 5mins read this article and update ur knowledge. "ASP is an 800 hectares blast furnace facility built on a 24000 hectares land, west bank of River Niger. The project site was not chosen for convenience, rather for political reasons. Iron ore, found in Udi and Agbaja, is 266 km and 370 km away respectively. Coal, found in Enugu, is 242 km away also. These three locations are within 130 km radius to each other. Had the plant been situated somewhere between Enugu and Agbaja, the plant and the raw materials could have been within 50 km apart only. In addition, Ajaokuta is 250 km from Lagos coastline, Nigeria’s biggest steel market and the main commercial seaport Nigeria has had to date. Not only this, it was difficult significantly for the construction of support infrastructure for the plant. The plant’s site was undulate and rocky, and sloped considerably toward River Niger. To condition the site appropriately, infrastructure works had included extensive levelling work, a massive stabilization work to the river bank, construction of flood canals, a river port and extensive infrastructures for power and water. These had meant 21 million m3 of earthwork in site levelling and terracing, 1.7 million m3 of reinforced concrete, 0.21 million tonnes of structural elements, 0.181 million tonnes of equipment, 60000 tonnes of refractory bricks and 65 km of standard rail gauge within the facility (Matusevich, 2003). If these descriptors are isolated, Nigeria has not had a considerable reputation in delivering very large projects with similar extreme complexity before the ASP (Oyeyinka and Adeloye, 1988)." |
spyder880:Please what is the thickness of this concrete floor. |
Rest in peace gazzuz!!!..smartest mech I've met, very honest and kind. Fixed my ride a number of times without taking a dime. I can vividly remember when I came to his workshop at awe street 3yrs ago and saw this sharp toks camry, and I was like "this car is sharp oh" his response was " take it for a spin if u like it, buy it". Long story short, I ended up driving away with that car and paid for it later, he even gave me his dealer plate number to use until I was done with registration. Rest on auto guru. |
nex:Surest guy indeed, this news came as a shock to me. I'm still finding it hard to believe gazzuzz is no more. Such a smart, straightforward and sincere person. We will sure miss u. Rest in peace sir!!! |
Can't blv this!!!!.....like gazzuz is no more ![]() |
Emma09:Beats my imagination; I've come to realize common sense is not as common as we think in this part of the world. |
Obinnau:Sent a dm....No response |
spyder880:Greetings chief, any luck with this ![]() |
double3:Still pending... |
Obinnau:Dm sent. |
spyder880:Thanks.. |
Good evening oga spyder, plz can u recommend sumone who can help with construction of a septic tank for my building in enugu... ![]() |
Plz I need the services of a builder for the construction of a septic tank ("soakaway")for 2 blocks of 3bed flat Location- Enugu. Since it's a small project, It would be preferable if the builder is resident in enugu n it's environ. |
. |
spyder880:Thanks...ur estimate sounds very reasonable. Got a bill of 1.9million |
Chidimercy:Please I'm interested in the cost of this project. Cos I got an outrageous quotation fo construction of soakaway from my engineer . @spyder880 please how much would it cost in this present day economy to construct a basic "soakaway" for 2 units of 3bedroom flat. |
raphemmanuel:Do not focus on shop beautification for startup, channel ur funds towards stocking ur shop with items,as business booms,u can decide to upgrade and beautify. |
spyder880:Please is bestwill tile same as goodwill, cos I saw some tiles the other day with goodwill printed on carton but bestwill was inscribed on the tile itself. |
The highlight of this building is its simplicity...well done!!! |
saydfact:Nah bro I'm not angry at all, maybe u got the message the wrong way, it was just a general statement not meant for u or anybody. |
saydfact:Like i said eariler, i asked for a review and couldn't get any here and decided to give it a try. After 'a year' when that day comes,be rest assured I will come back and drop another review. |
Alkanelly:Funny enough I asked this question few months ago asking for a review of watson steel doors, couldn't get a response. I guess lots of people don't buy watson doors for some reason. Well I decided to give it a trial, although for internal rooms. I got the white watson steel doors for high traffic areas,( entrance from dining to kitchen, hall way leading to rooms) and China american panel door for bedrooms for my project. The steel door feels strong and sturdy, aesthetically the white color is more appealing, hence more expensive. I got the white for about 53k last month, though its a bit more expensive now due to the dollar crises. It can use it for entrance door cos it's a security door, locks from the side top and bottom, although when it comes to durability,it can't be compared to these locally fabricated steel doors made of thicker steel materials (1-2.5mm).(locally fabricated are much stronger). On the average it's a nice door,if u love it go for it. |
Chief good evening, any possibility of doing POP installation before wiring? |
redgem:The sad news is that u might hv to break the wall to find the leak unless u can get a tool called "moisture meter" which is very unlikely our Artisans in this part of the world have such a device. That's the down side of conduit piping. |
cash1115:How much do u charge per square meter for installation, without materials. |
kebliss:Nah lagos people plenty here, our people in the east need to wake up and embrace online marketing strategies. Been over a week I requested for a pop installer located witin enugu for my project down there, till date not a single mention. |
