The US were lucky today. . . .I reckon if Manu had not gone off injured,
the score would have been a lot closer. His 20 per for the tourney was
greatly missed.

But did you see Scola play some ball. . . . .dropped 28 points against all comers
He did play a lot of minutes though

I don't have any sympathy for any of the 'donors'.

If the attendees can put up millions to attend the party,
I am sure they can be trusted to understand the reasons
for the fundraising.

Doesn't say much about our smarts if such, I presume, highflyers
can be so easily duped.

Blessing's is quite a story

She wasn't even meant to be in the final but for that Polish
athlete being banned for doping.

I am so pleased for her

Why has no one given a mention to Naija's Christine Ohurogu's
gold medal in the 400m. Outstanding race she ran jo.

I expect another gold for Nigerian in the Triple Jump where Phillips Idowu is favourite.

I know its only the first match, but I reckon Mikel's performance yesterday
portends well for the rest of the season.

I told the naysayers who were writing off Mikel's chances before the season started,
he is very good at what coaches prize highly, being available to receive the ball and
not losing it. Very simple, but yet very hard to find. Roy Keane made a living out of it
at United and I think our Mikel will do just fine sticking to this script.
