novexme: You are right but at the same time wrong in your dissertation, kainji dam is powered by water, it utilizes hydro power to generate electricity, that's why it's called and an hydro electric dam.
All dams that generates electricity are powered by water. Without water they can't generate electricity. It's below capacity and needs to be upgraded, that's why the mambila plateau dam is in the works because it's bigger.
And also has a higher potential to generate more electricity due to its location, turbines installed and commissioned would determine its output.
All the same I think Nigeria has a enough resources to generate enough power including nuclear generated electricity.
My own 4cents though Bro you just confused me how can i be right and thesame time wrong |

HumanCalc: Op failed to hit on the real problem. You see, Nigerians are taught in school to not consider money first. They want us to treat knowledge as the most important thing but then forget that money rules the lives of most Nigerians even the so-called educators. And why won't it? We are poor. Most of us live on less than $1 a day. That's bad. Despite this, we are never taught how to make money. We are taught knowledge and then left to figure out how to make money with it. That's why our youths are always "finding job" every time. "I applied here and there". Rich countries became rich because of different establishments by their governments and citizens. You just can't expect the government to start creating job everyday so you can get "somewhere to work". The point is, there are 7bn people in the world right now, how can you be of benefit or use to them and then in turn, gain money from them. That should be the only important question to 9ja youths. Jobs are all filled. That's the truth, it's not Nigeria only, it's all around the world. 9ja maybe worst though. Education is not scam, Nigeria education is. Nigeria itself is. We are in a poor country with very corrupt citizens with little sense of concern for their country, so what do you expect? Even the highly rated medical degree is scam in 9ja (if you stay in 9ja anyway), but the moment you leave these shores, you see the better side of the world.
So in short, when next you want to say education is scam, always add "In Nigeria" to it. Bro i am not sure you read the OP's post. He said school(Nigerian school) is scam not education. |

bitex2: Pick up is just a NUMBERS GAME..The fundamental of Pick up community has always been APPROACH more.Simply because it's a game of probability and also because genuine confidence comes from overcoming repeated rejection. Modern pick up artists know this truth but because they want to live gullible AFC(average frustrated chump) to pay for their boot camp they emphasise outcome and all the pickup lines and gimmicks so they can sell their products. The best PUA is Mike Mehlman. His theory on seeking rejection and his emphasis on building confidence by overcoming rejection is the best dating advice out there. LMS matter but Confidence has most point. No matter your looks, riches or status you will still get rejected a vast majority of the time. An ugly guy who approaches more will achieve more outcome than a shy handsome rich man who doesn't approach. It's mostly a numbers game I disagree with you on this. A guy with looks, money and status most time succeeds. Sometimes they get approached by ladies or are shown Green light. If you say looks money and status does not keep the girl for long i may agree. Its always a numbers game. A man with looks(facial, dresswise) , money or status always have an edge over an Average who doesn’t dress well, is broke and has low status. |

Your lecturer does not give a freaking frack about your practicals because with or without that, he is paid...do you want to tie your destiny on this inadequacy?
Yes, the curriculum in other schools abroad are more fine tuned, but are you also aware that you can equip yourself with the content of this curriculum? Run a google check on each topic from the curriculum, watch YouTube videos, try it on your piece of land and you are good to go. I agree with you on this However what is the essence of going to the school when you can just learn it on YouTube or google. You paid school fees to learn and at the end you end up not learning much. What is the essence. |

SmartPolician: School no be scam
We just need to upgrade our education to be goal-oriented and result-driven
Many lecturers need to change their mindsets about education
I remember one of them telling us to make a first class or 2'1 so as to get a good job.
No lecturer, in my time, ever talked about establishing your business.
If we all graduate with the mindset of looking for jobs, who will create them?
Las Las, we passed through the University of Hard Knocks and realized that the kinda job we wanted was reserved for a few.
Today, I am absolutely delighted to have created a good job for myself
Once again, school no be scam Thats exactly what the OP is saying |

madridsta007: 1. Get into a Nigerian University. 2. Work hard. Have no social life, no girlfriend, don’t drink, don’t smoke. 3. Graduate with a 1st Class or Excellent 2.1. 4. Expand your reading and knowledge list beyond your area of studies. 4. Get a scholarship for a PhD or Masters outside Nigeria. 5. Some years later, life meets you doing well at the cutting-edge of your chosen career. 6. That career can be traced to that University education you received in Nigeria.
Instead of helping to spread the lazy narrative of “school na scam” why don’t we, once again, go back to the era where excellence in education is encouraged? I’ve never seen a 1st class student saying, “school na scam”. Young people in Nigeria today are extremely, extremely lazy, most of them. This is the problem. Not the Universities. I disagree with you. I have seen alot of hardworking graduates that leave miserably |

Mandela27: Like when I speak,I'm almost not audible..kind of lack of confidence. That requires a little training. 1. Exercise tends to increase your testosterone and thickens your muscle there by making your vocal cords thicker leading to deeper voice. 2. Shout: The fastest way to handle your inaudibility is to shout. Use this time to practice shouting that way you are training your brain to adjust. 3. Present in front of people: Your lack of confidence may be due to agoraphobia or fear of standing in front of people. Try as much as possible to socialize and try to stand in front of people and talk. You will be forced to speak louder. As for your Confidence. Bro you need to understand you are a man, and fear of the unknown shouldn't be what you are afraid of. I believe no human is born a nonentity but with a propensity for prosperity. There is one thing you are good at. It could be that you are good at playing football, a very intelligent person, you are a good singer, dancer, or anything. Use that as your confidence booster. Please do not be afraid of talking to women. You are a man, be assertive, speak louder and look them in the eye. You need to realise that in life you have to be assertive. In the world we live in if you remain quiet you will be seen as a sissy or a weak man. People will use that to take advantage of you, women will rubbish you because they know they can get away with it. As a man you need to send your boundaries by speaking up, we are all humans there is nothing to be afraid of. Hope this helps |
Romance › The Women Are Wonderful Myth by Dpsychologist(op): 7:55am On Aug 26, 2020 |
The women-are-wonderful effect is the phenomenon that people associate more positive attributes with women than with men.
The phrase was coined by researcher Alice Eagly and Antonio Mladinic in 1994 after finding that both male and especially female participants tend to assign positive traits to women. The tendency to give members of one's own sex more positive evaluations, i.e. in-group preference, is 4.5 times higher in women.
Women are worse in almost any regard just as men
Women are frequently regarded as more empathetic, less violent etc., even though they are in truth more likely than men to initiate intimate partner violence, are less cooperative with their own sex, are less generous in high-status positions, report more same-sex conflicts and take longer for conflict resolution, more often than men slut-shame other women, have a stronger anti-female bias in peer review, are more interrupted by other women than by men, more likely to socially exclude.
Female gossip has also been a concern throughout history. Throughout history, queens were more likely to wage war than kings, and women are thought to be less loyal to their own group, as evidenced by French women adoring German soldiers. Most women also love criminals and bad guys(Hybristophilia, scelerophilia and stockholm syndrome) .
Women lose their love a lot sooner in terms of wanting sex pointing to a less intense, more extractive/utilitarian and fleeting love style, and yield nearly the same rate of affairs as men. What's worse, an affair for women more often means actually falling in love with the new partner(while most men have affair just for sex).
In fact, biochemical research points to a natural four-year sexual cycle for the human female. A woman’s natural tendency is to “liberate” herself from her mate after that point. This is in line with divorce statistics where women are the initiator 75% of the time. Overall, this points to a female sexuality that appears to be stuck in a more r-selected past despite being more coy and choosy during the initiation of a relationship.
Women also have a slightly lower IQ, are less emotionally stable and more childish, physically weak (bad hunters and fighters) and have historically always been dependent on men.
In short, women are on average worse than men in almost any regard, especially in their intrasexual competition which only produces drama and competition in looks, whereas men's competition has brought us science and civilization. It's only that women have a lower activity level and thus get less things done and thus do less of the bad things, leading to the apex fallacy that men are worse. Since these are just averages, this does not mean that all women are worse than all men. |
