You are right but at the same time wrong in your dissertation, kainji dam is powered by water, it utilizes hydro power to generate electricity, that's why it's called and an hydro electric dam.

All dams that generates electricity are powered by water. Without water they can't generate electricity. It's below capacity and needs to be upgraded, that's why the mambila plateau dam is in the works because it's bigger.

And also has a higher potential to generate more electricity due to its location, turbines installed and commissioned would determine its output.

All the same I think Nigeria has a enough resources to generate enough power including nuclear generated electricity.

Op failed to hit on the real problem. You see, Nigerians are taught in school to not consider money first. They want us to treat knowledge as the most important thing but then forget that money rules the lives of most Nigerians even the so-called educators. And why won't it? We are poor. Most of us live on less than $1 a day. That's bad. Despite this, we are never taught how to make money. We are taught knowledge and then left to figure out how to make money with it. That's why our youths are always "finding job" every time. "I applied here and there". Rich countries became rich because of different establishments by their governments and citizens. You just can't expect the government to start creating job everyday so you can get "somewhere to work". The point is, there are 7bn people in the world right now, how can you be of benefit or use to them and then in turn, gain money from them. That should be the only important question to 9ja youths. Jobs are all filled. That's the truth, it's not Nigeria only, it's all around the world. 9ja maybe worst though. Education is not scam, Nigeria education is. Nigeria itself is. We are in a poor country with very corrupt citizens with little sense of concern for their country, so what do you expect? Even the highly rated medical degree is scam in 9ja (if you stay in 9ja anyway), but the moment you leave these shores, you see the better side of the world.

So in short, when next you want to say education is scam, always add "In Nigeria" to it.

Pick up is just a NUMBERS GAME..The fundamental of Pick up community has always been APPROACH more.Simply because it's a game of probability and also because genuine confidence comes from overcoming repeated rejection.

Your lecturer does not give a freaking frack about your practicals because with or without that, he is paid...do you want to tie your destiny on this inadequacy?



Yes, the curriculum in other schools abroad are more fine tuned, but are you also aware that you can equip yourself with the content of this curriculum? Run a google check on each topic from the curriculum, watch YouTube videos, try it on your piece of land and you are good to go.

Many lecturers need to change their mindsets about education

I remember one of them telling us to make a first class or 2'1 so as to get a good job.

No lecturer, in my time, ever talked about establishing your business.

If we all graduate with the mindset of looking for jobs, who will create them?

Las Las, we passed through the University of Hard Knocks and realized that the kinda job we wanted was reserved for a few.

Today, I am absolutely delighted to have created a good job for myself

2. Work hard. Have no social life, no girlfriend, don’t drink, don’t smoke.
3. Graduate with a 1st Class or Excellent 2.1.
4. Expand your reading and knowledge list beyond your area of studies.
4. Get a scholarship for a PhD or Masters outside Nigeria.
5. Some years later, life meets you doing well at the cutting-edge of your chosen career.
6. That career can be traced to that University education you received in Nigeria.

Instead of helping to spread the lazy narrative of “school na scam” why don’t we, once again, go back to the era where excellence in education is encouraged? I’ve never seen a 1st class student saying, “school na scam”.
Young people in Nigeria today are extremely, extremely lazy, most of them. This is the problem. Not the Universities.
