Please lets all pray for our nation. Our president, media aide, minister of information and military personnel. God will give them the wisdom on how to handle the prevailing situation. Let them be quiet and talk only when necessary and with so much tact and wisdom. Let God not allow us get involved with a war that doesnt concern us. Amen.

shocked

You are truly crazy

I'm confused...you went as early as 8pm on a Monday morning?

It's apparent they weren't so keen to attend to you and that is wrong on all standards,
They are already stigmatizing you and it's not like you've even run the test.

But if your conduct there was just as incoherent as this your writeup, I won't blame them myself.

Just come and join me in Shiloh so that God can reupholster your dilapidating life.
The Lord who cured my madness can make you whole again.

Better still, send me the doctor's name so I can put it on my prayer request. I can assure you that before next week, my God will make him to be sacked for killing a patient.

Nonsense

you are really being insensitive with this statement. how do you know it's never been raised? when Doctors/lecturers go on strike what do you think they are trying to protest for? whether it's a doctors life or not involved, the bottom line is that we, the masses should rise up and challenge the government. This is not time to spread hate and disunity. lets challege the statusquo. lets protest, let's protest for a defibrillator in all hospitals, all public places. Lets unite and get our voice heard.

Politics / Nigeria filters pornography from webspace by drI: 7:27am On Jul 26, 2019
Good morning all, I have just been thinking of the increased rates of rape, pedophilia, incests and other sexual crimes in Nigeria. In addition to inappropriate exposures of our children to pornography, thereby creating a national brothel in future.

I presume that the advent of cheap internet subscriptions and easily accessible sexual content/pornography may be contributory to this.

So I ask, is there no way to filter our webspace in Nigeria to help our kids and generation. How can we get our legislators to help in this regard.

what is your take on this matter?

save me 27, I really don't respond on this forum however, I want to talk to you atbthis time.

Listen bro, if you have made a mistake, put yourself together and move on. you may need to look at the bright side, at least you have a job from which you can always save up again. once you die, its over. As long as you are alive, you can make it to any level you want to. it will only just take time.

Your next disappointment will be when your plan B ie people's help fail. you need to understand that others have issues.some people may be worse off than you. it's selfish to expect people to help you and to think of suicide. you are only just thinking of yourself.

Finally, you need to defer your admission, start saving up again, you can always get visa again and again. All the best and God bless you.

Firstly, you live in PHC but did a scam at Ava
Secondly, your Lmp is January which puts your fate of delivery at October.
thirdly, your scan done 2 days ago says you are 24wks, and you are supposedly due next month ie at 28weeks,( 6months plus 2 wks)

Common, pls desist from such actions, you can make it legitimately if you channel your intelligence to other ventures.

While i understand y'all school of thought, i wonder if anyone is seriously thinking of the volatility of Rivers State. I live in Rivers State, i know how much violence and killings that occur here, if there are military men around to protect us what then is the issue? If Amaechi is responsible for the security why is he villified?

I have been on the streets today and sincerely everywhere is peaceful, soldiers all around but nobody is being intimidated.

I guess people to be scared are those who plan to perpertuate evil.

You need to learn how to be objective. Physicians are just an arm of healthcare delivery, with clearly defined boundaries of profession. No pharmacist or nurse with proper training claims to be a physician. Everyone is merely demanding for fairness. To claim that your field of practice is superior to that of others is infantile and stupid! That's why johesu went on strike, so that your doctors can prove how superior they are by diagnosing, testing, prescribing, dressing wounds, even acting as gate-keepers, and morticians... It is only in a backward country like this you hear such tripe.

The so called doctors are telling the world that we are agitating for parity how can that be possible for example if a doctors is already earning N10 and FG increase their salary with N5 making a total of N15, is it bad for the JOHESU who is earning N7 and also asking for N3 increment to make it N10 doest that mean parity? some people are just opened their mouth and saying all sort of rubbish without even get to the root of the matter are the doctors who are now crying fowl can publicize their salary and that of the JOHESU for the world to see? some ignorant people will be supporting the doctors without doing their finding. Doctors salary has been increased between 2014 and 2018 twice why the salary of JOHESU remain same since 2014 are the FG telling us that we are not working or important in the hospital setting? those people in support of doctors if i may ask can they go to hospital and seek doctors alone without the assistant of JOHESU and come back home completely medically ok? This is question we must ask ourself, can all of us become a doctor? let us use brain to comment not head or emotionally there is different from PARITY and EQUITY Johesu are agitating for Equity not Parity please listening attentively

Strangely a patient can go to the hospital, see a doctor, get fully treated and leave without the other health workers. Not because they are unimportant but because the doctor has been trained to do everything other health workers can do and much more.
For instance the teaching hospitals are operational and functioning fully while JOHESU have been on strike. We are even carrying out major surgeries without JOHESU. What else is required to prove my point?

Just read your comment again, does it sound right?

Is Radiology a specialty in medicine like Opthalmology, O&G, paediatrics and so on?
If so, pharmacy should then be a specialty in medicine.

Back to your comment, if Radiologist and Radiographers are of different Unions, then something is wrong.

Supposed workers if same profession in different union.

Let me stop here.

Get your facts.

You are the one that need to get your fact right. Radiologists are medical doctors who have gone through 5 yrs further training, called residency and are now specialists.radiographers on the other hand are bsc graduates who studied radiography.

This is a selfish and unprofessional talk. Have you made your research on other countries health administration and wages structures?
Can a doctor work without others.
In a saner clime... you'll see a team of medical professionals including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and others working to solve health issues.
But here in Nigeria, doctors see nurses and other health practitioners as slaves or errand people who they can order around.
The bogus salary they earn gives them the advantage to study more, research, attend conferences and seminars...but other health workers are paid lower that they can't afford to upgrade on their expertise...
A few to mention among these challenges that should be tackled once and for all the health sector

My dear, have you received medical care in these saner climes, if yes you will understand that there is a marked difference between the doctor and others. Generally everyone is important and respected, but clearly the doctor is the headbof the pack. He hives others and every other person follows. By the way, a new specialist doctor is paid much more than any nurse in the US irrespective of his or her number of years of practice or expertise. And strangely, in the US, the specialist nurses do much more, they even get to see patients and give prescriptions unlike our nurses here who do much less.

I understand you but sir, I think you need to sit her down and ask what exactly she wants to do with her life.
You made a lot of suggestions aimed at helping her better herself but it seems she was and is not interested in any. Hence she refused to follow up with them.
I agree 1.5m is a large sum but then you could give her the money in bits. E.g, first give her money for the shop. Once she gets one then give her money for renovating it before money for stocking it.
Once she has something that will get her out of the house regularly her dressing may improve and so will her spoken English because she will have to interact with people.
On having more babies, you both need to agree on a type of family planning method. A large family will surely put a strain on your income. Both parties are supposed to be involved in family planning.
Don't just give up. Keep trying and be patient. It will all work out.

I like the way you write. You are simply a beautiful soul.

you have to book an appointment by calling the number I had pasted earlier on . you will be asked for your lnternational travel itinerary. it's based on that you will be given an appointment. the earliest appointment you can get is one month to your date of departure. they don't consider local travel. I had your exact issue and had to move my ticket to get an earlier appointment. I was also moving to another state but it wasn't considered for the appointment. it was considered though in the processing of the passport. i had to plead with them that I had to leave to Dallas from Houston so my baby's passport was processed in one day. I showed them both my dallas itinerary and Nigeria itinerary.

Mr Op aka defender of the brethren, you should try and apply your heart to wisdom instead of seeking to hurt a nursing mother.
Your brother's wife stopped breastfeeding her two month old baby, no sane mother would do that. Instead of you and your brother opting for the easy way out (divorce), please take that woman to a hospital and seek help there. It's very possible she's suffering from Postpartum depression. You and your 'gentleman' brother should read about it and get enlightenment. It's just unfortunate that we don't pay attention to mental health in this part of the world.

pls listen to this op. She might actually have lost partum depression or psychosis.

QED. Its just that simple. When people ask for discounts and medicaid, they don't exist. Someone else is picking up the slack (either in form of taxes or insurance premiums). The hospitals happily push these as options since it is a lot easier for them to send government a bill than trust you to pay what you truly owe. Have the integrity to do exactly as you promised at your visa interview... pay 100% of what you owe. The idea of medicaid should never come up at all... black lives do matter, but we cannot demand others respect us if we can't respect basic rules of decency.

If you're upset about this, sorry. But the truth isn't going to change simply because you have a problem with it. Episodes such as the above are reasons i no longer subscribe to the Nigerian version of "christianity". 99.9% of the cheats, liars and uncouth folks here are likely the first people in church on sunday.

good day Sir. I do agree with you in the fraudulent use of medicaid whatsoever the case may be. but I beg to disagree on the discount aspect. Most hospitals offer discount to international patients or even any other uninsured patient paying cash out of pocket. it's not in any way passed on to the tax payers. its just their modus operandi. infact some clinics sometimes have times when they are celebrating or having some sort of promo and offer special packages with significant reduction in costs. they also have certain terms and conditions attached. it obviously not wrong to take such offers. it's like saying it's wrong to buy items because they are on sale.

Hello Adedoyin, I tap into your miracle ooooo.

I am April 2018 due mum, I just got denied B2 visa in my interview today. The White make VO(cubicle 3) asked me;
-why I am traveling-to give birth Cos of better medical system
-why US and not any other cheaper country- told him a friend of mine Gave me a review of the best medical care she got for her delivery in us
-,my job. - accountant of xxxxxxx
-where I have been before- told him Dubai with hubby last year.
- is my hubby traveling with me -No
After answering all this, I still got denied.
However, the VO didn't bother to check any of my documents.

Please may I know whether it was a female or male VO that granted your visa. Want to know if female VO are more sympathetic than the VO?

@Nairalanders, please help me where did I go wrong, I am so sad right now...

I think they want to hear that you want the dual citizenship for your child. that is the truth. the idea of better health is not totally the truth cos you can get that from the UK and UAE etc.

just reapply and if they ask why you want to have your baby in the us, tell them you want the dual citizenship for your child and since it's legal and you can afford it why not alongside the good health care.

My one cent
