Agboriotejoye:You seem not to understand me Firstly, i didn't watch the video, I'm making judgment on what the op wrote. Secondly, an App is not replacing a doctor nor doing the test. There's an algorithm you follow to know who needs testing or not. In my hospital, before you are let in, you are asked series of questions based on this algorithm, to avoid coming in and infecting people. If you are suspected, a doctor comes outside to ask u further questions and determine if u should go for testing or not. Infact, such app, if perfectly worked on will assist health workers. Things must not be first done in America or Europe before it's authenticated. And do u know a lot of people don't even know when to call the hotline, it will help to know when to call and when not to. Lastly, there's no random testing in Lagos. What we have is contact tracing. |
Agboriotejoye:No video attached to the thread. Below is the words of the governor according to the OP, which I made judgment from. According to the governor “So far, we have established about three isolation centres in the state. As God would have it, we have not recorded any issue. What we did was to develop an app that we launched and ensured that all citizens in Kogi State have access to that particular app.Answering your question concerning people being asymptomatic, the app will definetly tell you if u also qualify to test. How? Nigeria is not carrying out mass testing because of lack of test kits. The only asymptomatic people who get tested are those who had contacts with infected individuals which I believe the app shoukd be smart enough to put into consideration |
Good one by the government A lot of people including the op are talking like illiterates and lack comprehension skills. The man didn't say the app will "test" for the virus. He simply said it will assist in knowing those who qualify for testing. A lot of the testing centres get overwhelmed with people because of anxiety. This will help alleviate fears and reduce further exposure (going to hospitals when not needed). Even when u go to these testing centres, they will first ask u questions i believe the app will, and if u qualify, you are tested otherwise, you are sent back The only disadvantage is that, most of them are illiterates who might not be able to use the app but it's still a welcome development. |
The idea of the hotels is good but they should be closely monitored |
Mightymanna:Must you always bring Christianity into your argument. That means you are so insecure with your religion. Go through their sunday threads and see if anyone will mention islam unless u folks will still infiltrate their thread to rubbish them.. The Holy Quran 49:11. “O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one’s] faith. And whoever does not repent – then it is those who are the wrongdoers.” |
stagger:Bros, i am always amazed as how a country that produces and depends on crude oil can't have a functional refinery all these years and a single individual whose networth is not up to our yearly budget can achieve the same effortlessly. It's like the country has been sold to the devil |
Normal level I was only allowed to take first or second position in school. if I take 3rd position, meself no dey go house |
Very good But the sum should be disclosed to ascertain full transparency |
Why are they not on the island? Just wondering |
China for world power, oma brutal gan The yorubas will say that if u sell out your relatives for a cheap sum, you won't ever be able to afford a buy-back. This goes to the labour union, who discredits Nigerians before these foreigners. The Lebanese are not left out. Sometimes i wish i could have the time, seek employment as a casual staff and show these people pepper |
Scaredd:If a repeat HIV test comes out normal, then it's most likely hyperthyroidism. The symptoms are clearcut. The sexual history is just a red herring. Send me a DM and I will guide you on things to do. |
Makavelli25:Because you are not aware that lassa is more deadly |
If the rice is good what's the purpose of the initial plan of The government should have stated the main reasons for confiscation which is enabling local production. So instead of destroying the items, the goods should be carefully examined by NAFDAC and used for the school feeding programme instead of feeding our kids with those unhealthy meals. Btw, those custom guys must have held an emergency meeting informing all their members to return their loots. |
This retaliation is like that of a first world country with a strong military might. Kudos! |
Iyiataata92:You are a clown! Can't stop laughing |
Elkana also said policemen on duty have been charged to show compassion and sympathy while enforcing the orders because no one prepared for much situation. The way police bosses speak ehn, u will start wondering if its actually the same Nigerian police. If u have had opportunities to meet with DPOs of big police stations, the way they will treat you especially if they sense that you are responsible and well read, you will be surprised. |
He will learn on the job I pray for wisdom for him |
IamgratefulLord:Lol It's insignificant, but i will modify |
This is bad Nobody reading this shall experience this either with them, friends or family in JESUS name |
Them supposed don stop that thing since |
Lostz:All those are the little issues. The truth is that we have heard stories about the lab scientist sneaking out blood. And that still boils down to the general problem of Nigeria. CORRUPTION in every sector. Secondly, if u are a willing donor, that is,u aren't donating for any particular patient but u just want to donate directly to the bank, you won't be charged for screening. But the whole idea makes sense except for the few issues, hence the judge shouldn't have put an end to it. |
Lostz:in government hospitals, blood is not sold. You only pay for the screening. The donor will be screened that is, carry out the necessary investigations to be sure the blood is free of diseases and determine the blood group and compatibility. You are given blood free but u will be required to replace the blood you were given by looking for a donor. This is done so that the blood bank won't be empty and emergency transfusion can easily be sorted. |
The judge is viewing the whole issue from a neutral point of view hence the reason for his decision.. There are some things u won't judge right unless you are in such environment. The whole idea will seem wrong and illogical to you. no matter the level of argument you will hold on to your views which you believe to be the best.. Firstly normal labour is a diagnosis in retrospect that is, u can't be 100% Confident that a labour will go smoothtly until the end of the labour and sometimes after 24hrs. Vaginal delivery is unpredictable let alone cesarean section. Secondly, the blood bank needs to be rich. Nigerians don't have the habit of donating without being compelled. If u wait for every case to go bad before rallying round for blood, you might not get enough blood needed and the required compatible blood. I have screened 3 patients relatives who visited the hospital for donation while we were in deer need of blood. 2 of them had hepatitis B and the third was HIV positive. They had to go look for other donors. There are many preventable deaths owing to lack of blood. The doctor gets helpless and watch the patient die. If blood is stored in the bank, anybody can have access to it when needed and compelled to replace. What I think should be done is that, after donating and paying for screening, if the patient ends up not using the blood, the screening fee should be refunded and paid by whoever ends up using the blood |
Tweiker:English Master, kindly state the right expression |
16 death out of 95 affected in Iran.. That's massive USA records no death That shows Nigeria can't handle this thing. Survival rate is a function of good governance |
So if he is found not guilty, will he be restored ? |
It's usually kidney diseases that expose them.. Then u will wonder where the make-believe affluence is.. I'm not wishing that he gets sick, just a general assertion. |
Terrible set of people.. Yesterday I took a public transport (the mini danfo).. Half way to my destination, I saw a group of policemen, heavily armed, who stopped us. With a COMMANDING tone and gesture he said “everybody get down". We later learnt that cultist/okada riders were rioting in that domain prior to our arrival and the police and other security agents were deployed to alleviate the unrest. They needed the vehicle to move into the streets to restore stability. Wondered why such rude attitude was employed also exposing us to danger. Initially I wanted to talk but I just held my peace. I might end up being an undue scape goat as the tension was high |
I was still in 2nd year in the university so went home on Thursday morning cos there was gonna be a public holiday on Friday. I left my ATM card in school, I didn't know I would be needing it. On getting home, my brother informed me that he wanted to make a transfer of a million naira into my account and he needed me to make withdrawals, as he would be needing the cash during the weekend. He ordered someone to make the transfer into my account but there was network issues and he pleaded I go to the bank to go and check if the money has reflected as I don't always get alerts and my atm card was not available I went to the bank around 12pm, approached a customer care rep( a beautiful lady, obviously older and I know I stood no chance with her but I sha wanted to form big boy). Pompously I wrote down my account number expecting to see a 7 figure in my account but disappointingly, the money hadn't reflected and my balance was 16 kobo.. I chilled a while as instructed by my bro and checked 2 more times but my balance stood at a point, so I decided to leave the banking hall for home. At about 4pm my bro pleaded with me to go back to the bank that the money bounced back and the guy had resent it... On getting there, went straight to the same lady, she scribbled in the little note my balance and it never increased by a kobo... Bank had closed, communicating with me was my bro still begging me to wait that it would drop within minutes. I chilled till 5pm, the banking hall was almost empty and withing this period I went back to the lady more than 6 times but no difference. At that point, the lady was already tired of me, seeing me a riffraff and I needed to convince her that my reason for the constant disturbance was worth it. So I left the bank in anger. on getting home, I got the alert... Monday morning I went back to the bank to effect the withdrawals. This time I had planned to meet the same lady to check the balance first. My intention was simply that she saw the balance and justify my previous week's disturbance. Approaching her that morning, she snubbed me and asked that I go to the counter to check. Shame swallowed me. ![]() |
