Buhari was in his 40's and not a naive teenager when he overthrew an elected civilian govt and plunged Nigeria into its most despotic era.
I wonder why his foolish supporters like Soyinka and Falana who welcomed IBB's coup against Buhari will think this leopard change his spots.
A despot at 40 is a despot for life!
The funny thing his blind supporters can not comprehend is that Buhari in his fake koworption war is actually silencing would be political rivals to pave way for his absolute rule. A million billion likes. I told people that Nigerians would in less than 6 months regret electing Buhari. |

Romance › Re: How I Intentionally Played A Fast Game On A Lady by drnoel: 7:18pm On Jul 24, 2015 |
proxillin: I met this lady on a social app. She friend-zoned me for some 3 months though I made her realize my intention.
She keeps disturbing me with lengthy chats. She can chat for 24 hours. And that alone was getting on my nerves, that I started snubbing her on chat. I only respond once in a while.
I think she noticed it, she changed her tactics and started flirting..talking dirty and sending me funny pictures of her.
I took it as an invitation, so I brought up the issue of dating again. She said we should meet and discuss it.
We set a date for the date. In the morning of the set date, on whatsap she told me she is coming with a friend of her. I thought she feared for her security and was trying to play safe...I agreed they should come together.
We went to Cumbaland (Indian restaurant)...chop all the choppables (Chop my money). We still continued the discussion, she ended up not giving me any tangible answer.
2 weeks later, she said the weekend will be boring for her, she will be home alone, she said she wants to come to my house. Chaii my head bounced. I was like chaii...this is the opportunity.... On the Saturday morning when I went out to pick her at the bus stop close to my house, I saw a lady beside her, I thought the lady was just a passerby...to found out she was the same friend she brought on the first day (her makeup confused me). They came, I ran my generator for 8 ours they spent with me glued to my DSTV watching telemondo/MTV. She wouldnt even talk to me.
I later invited her to my inner room where I made my move, she refused and started cursing. So I dont want it to turn to a rape scenario, I let her go.
Later on whatsap, I asked why she keeps bringing her friend, she said she cant go anywhere without her.
I said OK...This bad thought just came to my mind. I knew I had nothing to loose again. I have spent already (thats a loss on its own). Nothing can be worse.
So I intentionally invited her over to my house this time...as usual she brought her friend which was part of my plan.
When opportunity presented itself, I collected her friends number. I took a risk, I told her not to tell my girl. To my dismay she cooperated with me, I pinged her on whatsap, she responded and we started flowing just neutrally.
The next time we agreed to go to the beach. I was very surprised to see this girl dressed sexily, even over dressed more than my girl. My eyes stayed glued on her that my girl nearly caught me. May be she did, may be not.
In the night I buzzed her and I told her how sexy she was that day. I told her I felt like kissing and foundling her that day.
She said "you should have done it in front of your girl" jokingly.
I said "Do you know my girl doesnt stop us", she said "Hmmmm"
Shockingly she said "I know there is nothing between you guys"
I was shocked. So my girl told her friend she had nothing for me.
I told the lady, why is she doing this to me? She hasnt given me any answer and when I make any move, she bark like dog. What does she want, shes confusing me....
In short, na so her friend agreed to come to my house alone ooo. It was on a rainy Saturday. She barely enters my house when we started the "You know what " (close your eyes).
I was at my office one day when I saw pings...my girl started blasting...
Why are men like this? You are a dog You are not different from others.. Men will always be men ...blah blah blah..
So if u want to date someone, its my friend that you think its right for you to date. You cheated with my friend.
I said "Madam, Let me ask you a question".
"Were we dating?"
She said "No"
I said "So whats your definition of cheating?"
She said "but u have been disturbing me for a while now"
I said "For a while? ooh and you are proud of that? And have you given me any tangible answer?"
She said "why are you impatient?"
I just told her to get a lawyer...she cursed and changed DP to funny images about guys...U know what they do na...
I found out that she read her friends whatsap chat and got to know we were fckng.
Guys....Am i really at fault? . Did I betray her? Guy ask a stuwpid question, get a stuwpid answer.. |

Politics › Re: Appointments: Ohaneze Gives Up On Buhari- Daily Sun by drnoel: 10:44am On Jul 23, 2015 |
HungerBAD: APPARENTLY uncomfortable with seeming marginalization of Ndigbo in the appointments made so far by President Mohammadu Buhari, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo, has warned the people of South East to stop hoping for appointments in the present administration.
The group also warned against any attempt to thwart the election of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, describing it as an affront on Ndigbo.
Ohaneze Ndigbo through its National Treasurer, Chief Damian Okeke- Ogene, expressed concern over the failure of the Buhari-led federal government to appoint any Igbo man into any office so far, since inception of the administration. Chief Okeke-Ogene further advised Ndigbo not to expect any favour from President Buhari, adding that his steps so far, had vindicated the people of the zone, who showed their reservation of him during the presidential election.
“President Buhari recently sacked five service chiefs and appointed five others as their replacement without looking the way of the South East, a development that has not gone down well with Ndigbo after they had missed out in the reckoning for Senate presidency and the speakership of the House of Representatives,” he said. He advised the Igbo nation against expecting too much from the Buhari administration, noting that their fear against Buhari which made them shun him during the presidential election had been proved right after all. ”In all these appointments, Buhari is bold to tell the Igbos that he based the appointments on merit, but it seems his basic yardstick for merit is Hausa-Fulani. It is good that it is happening now for some of our billionaire politicians, elders and captains of industry will now know that it’s time for us not just to think home but to actualize it. ”That is why we said we voted for the lesser evil as represented by former President, Goodluck Jonathan, because from Obasanjo’s time to now, Igbo have not been treated fairly by the federal government,” he stated. Chief Okeke- Ogene noted that this was the best time for the South East Governors to provide the enabling environment to help the industrialists from the zone to make it viable for them to establish industries that would take up the teeming mass of the unemployed in the zone.
The Ohaneze chieftain further opined that if the Igbo nation could survive the civil war, they have enough now to make the South East a viable economic zone. ”It is the only option left to us now. That is to bring our economy home. Over 80 per cent of our wealth is outside Igboland. Other tribes invest more in their areas,” he said.
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/appointments-ohaneze-gives-up-on-buhari/ hahahahhaaha, so these silly old men has finally seen the light...we thank god and pray for those of them that will want to commit sucide cos of appointments |

kaorama: Nice one. However, I have noticed that Buhari has not departed from the usual pattern of appointment that characterized previous governments in Nigeria. They all appointed their tribal men to key military positions. Am looking forward to a time when a Yoruba President will appoint an Igbo man as Chief of Army Staff and an Igbo President will appoint an Hausa man the Commandant of Guards Brigade. It is only then we can say that we have true leaders and one country. that will never happen. U want buhari to have nightmares in the night. |
Politics › Re: A President Without Ministers: Can Buhari Govern Nigeria? by drnoel: 10:23am On Jul 23, 2015 |
Whynotthetruth: “On hold” is how many Nigerians would describe how West Africa’s most-populous country of 178 million people currently feels.
It’s been more than 15 weeks since President Muhammadu Buhari, 72, won the March 28 presidential elections, but he is yet to appoint ministers. In fact, he says he will not form a cabinet before September.
The government is currently kept afloat by top civil officials, who can fulfil basic administrative duties but not make the key political decisions Buhari promised Nigerians when campaigning for office.
The former military leader was elected based on his pledge to end corruption in politics and the oil industry – Nigeria’s main revenue earner – and stop Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram, which has killed an estimated 14,000 people since 2009.
But weeks have gone by and little has happened. Big political decisions have been stalled, while a new surge of Boko Haram attacks killed more than 430 people this month alone.
“At this stage, government is only functioning at about 25 per cent,” warns David Zounmenou, researcher at the African Institute for Security Studies. “Buhari needs to act quickly. He needs to assert his role.”
The elation felt after Buhari’s election and inauguration on May 29 is slowly dissipating. Nigerians hoped a page would be turned in the country where corruption in politics and the economy is almost endemic.
Without a cabinet “Buhari will not be able to make many necessary reforms to begin to deal with the many challenges facing his administration,” says Ernst Jan Hogendoorn, Africa deputy director of research organization International Crisis Group.
The longer ministerial posts remain vacant, the more politically vulnerable Nigeria will become. “As a worst-case scenario, Buhari might lose control over the country because other people will take the gap and move in,” says Zounmenou.
The president says he is not in a hurry. “This task cannot and should not be rushed,” Buhari wrote in an op-ed published in the Washington Post on Monday, the day he met with US President Barack Obama.“Nigeria must first put new rules of conduct and good governance in place.”
The delay is among other things caused by ministers of the previous government who didn’t provide handover notes as promised, Buhari had explained earlier, pointing fingers at his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Buhari also has to manage a fierce internal power struggle for the top positions in government, including the crucial economy, finance and defence portfolios, within his All Progressives Congress (APC), a coalition of what used to be the country’s three biggest opposition parties.
“Buhari is trying to balance many competing interests, both within his coalition party and the different regions of Nigeria,” explains Hogendoorn.
A transition committee is now carefully vetting all candidates for corruption before drawing up a shortlist. “Ministers will come when [Buhari] finishes scrubbing the floor which is littered with corruption,” presidential spokesman Garba Shehu told dpa. “There are too many leaks in the revenue system that must be plugged. He will not build on the rotten foundation [of Jonathan’s government].”
The cause is noble, but analysts doubt the president will be able to reach this goal after decades of rampant corruption in Nigerian politics. “A clean record is an impossible mission. In Nigeria’s political arena, it’s extremely difficult to find someone with clean record. I would say it’s not even two per cent of politicians,” says Zounmenou of the security studies institute.
With each week going by without a fully functioning government, the pressure on Buhari to act is increasing.
“I know [Nigerians] are impatient for action. I realize the world waits to see evidencenthat my administration will be different from all those that came before,” Buhari admits in the op-ed. “Yet reforming my country after so many years of abuse cannot be achieved overnight.”
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/a-president-without-ministers-can-buhari-govern-nigeria/ I dont understand the clamour for ministers. The country is in debt and people are looking for where to spend more money. There are only a handful of ministeries that do require and deserve to have ministers the rest can do without them. |

Iraq's largest Christian town has been overrun by the same militant Islamists who have gained a foothold in parts of eastern Syria and western and northern Iraq. The latest advance by ISIS (or the Islamic State, formerly known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) has caused thousands of Christians in the city to flee, just as other minority groups targeted by ISIS have done, as well as Shiite Muslims. The French government confirmed that the Iraqi city of Qaraqosh has fallen into the hands of the militant al Qaeda offshoot. "France is highly concerned about the latest progress of ISIS in the North of Iraq and by the taking of Qaraqosh, the largest Christian city of Iraq, and the horrible acts of violence that are committed," French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said in a statement. France called for an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council to discuss the threat in Iraq.
