jennykadry: Nurses only earn money in Nigeria if they work for a good private company. Is it the nursing job that they pay 30k a month? LMAO we in the health sector know approx how much fellow health workers earn in the world Nigeria included.

Even chevron was recently offering my hubby's goin relative work for 150k in naira per month, the girl said God forbid. She earned that amount per fortnight as a student and is earning that amount double that amount every week as a nurse here.

God punish those mentioning nurses there. All my friends who studied in Nigeria ran to the UK cos they are paid more and more appreciated there.

One Alaba guy stopped his wife from working as a nurse in Nigeria cos they were paying her 30k a month. You farking lunatics
true u can't compare salary scale in nigeria with what is obtainable outside when it regards people actually doing the work. Neither can u compare the salary scale of our politicians who just sit once a week and even have the gut to support child marriages while putting their legs on the sits of our hollow chamber with that of those obtainable outside. That does not mean that things will remain so 4 eva. I will beg 2 deffer there cos Nigerians are not dump, neither are they daft or stupid. A time will come when people say enof is enof change has to happen now and if our politicians don't move their fat asses then 2 support these changes then we will either drive them out or do worse. I pray and hope it doesn't come 2 worse cos I am completely against violence.

unmask: funny thing is you don't need a diasporan to tell you its a shait hole, we in Nigeria know its a shait hole we live in.......as for those of you nursing the ambition to come back to change things, I laugh.....the system cannot be changed you can only become a part of it.....and thats a fact
On the contrary Sir, the system can be changed. it just requires people like u and me to do it. Since GEJ has any Nigerian leader been able to make changes in our system. See GEJ trying to revolutionize the power sector, if PIB pulls thru oild ad gas would be revolutionized. OBJ may be a thief but wasn't he the one who allowed telecommunication revolution. Look, all nigeria need is headstrong people that want change and are willing to see change come into the country. We know our politicians are thieves and think only about themselves but that change has to start with every individual. Nigerians need to want and mean change. Change is difficult but would benefit the country at the long run. Yes call Nigeria a shithole all u want but lets change the country for our children.

Each time I hear of a new eatery in town, I go there to give myself a treat. Most times when I'm at the counter, a staff there would walk up to me saying someone has paid my bills and I always tell him/her 'I didnt come here with anybody and I can afford my own bills' and with that, I walk out after I'm done, without bothering to know who offered such 'kindness'. Sometimes I meet such guys through mutual friends and they relate what happened at the eatery and I would be surprised that they still recognise me(the lady who refused their kindness). Truth is the way you present and carry yourself really matters. Why did you allow him to pay for the transport in the first place?
My friend who also does not tolerate such was in a Kekenapep when she was serving in Abuja, a young guy also entered and dropped few minutes later, telling the driver to also remove my friends fare from the money he gave to him, she asked 'why?' and he said he desires to be like her someday, she was still confused when he said 'becoming a youth corper', she smiled and he simply walked away. She simply saw his act as a seed-sowing rather than one with an ulterior motive, which was why she allowed him to. We ladies need to work on our carriage, like seriously.
U will definitely have good things coming ur way 4 this ur statement. Pls help us educate the illiterate that opened this thread. Its plain enof 2 see that its not everybody who obtains a degree at the university is educated cos education has also 2 do with charisma and personality. Thank you madam, well said!!!

now this one is something 4 the books. Wait let us think about this well. the guy who has his brains in his feet like u said forced his own hard earned money on the driver that dropped u off. I didn't see where u said u tried to stop him but he refused but u just stood there and watched him force his own hard earned money on the driver and u still expected him not to ask u those questions. U really must be JJC or are u new? U must be chalatant 2 expect him to just let u go like that.
Travel › Re: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by drnoel: 9:28pm On Aug 26, 2013
jennykadry: I sometimes avoid the travel section because of the hate some Nigerians based in that shait hole of a country called nigeria, spew. To be quite honest I believe it's just jealousy, jealous of fellow Nigerians who were lucky and blessed enough to get a life outside Nigeria. I know and believe that some of you wished that you could travel outside Nigeria and live in the westernized world for as long as you want instead of visiting with a few months visa and returning back to that cursed nation.

I AM NOT PROUD TO BE A NIGERIAN and I have my reason,so the rest of you who wished you had the kind of lives we have here can get your 1 dollar bill and put it where your mouth is. Not too long ago a NLDER started a thread on dual nationality, the way some people who have no international passport let alone visa hated the Nigerians who are dual nationals was enough to cause problems on that thread. Even politicians-the government know that our country Nigeria ruin more lives, causes more harm than good to it's citizens and thought it necessary to fly their children outside the country for a better life, a better education and better opportunities. I am ashamed of that country Nigeria. Renewing a foreign passport in my current location is as easy as and can be done in the comfort of my own home but Nigeria made life hell for a lot of us who wanted to renew their passports. I was treated so rudely in my own country's high commission that I had to walk away in anger. If I walk into any AUSTRALIA High commission, I am treated like a VIP, well taken of, listened to, spoken to with respect and they sort out whatever issues I had with the snap of a finger.....yet the rest of yous expect some of us to clap for Nigeria or come back to that country for good? a country I visited recently and NEPA proved themselves as usual, a country where the citizens were flogged like children at the immigration office in Lagos, citizens like you and I only wanting to get their passports. undecided

A recent thread about a nigerian woman who angrily swore to tear her nigerian passport is trending now and as usual, those haterz are there calling her names. SHUT UP and give her the $300 dollars she wasted there and stop making noise. Many Nigerians have been told to come for appointments only for them to get there and be turned back cos of faulty equipment that had gone bad for months without them telling these people about it. Go to your international airport in Lagos and see the curse that place has become, many things there are key and start cos they are trying to "save electricity".

I am going to say this to all you hating nigerians living in diaspora that you lot should go on your knees and pray to whatever being you serve so that we remain here cos if some of us professionals with high standards decide to relocate back to Nigeria.....ALL OF YOU WILL BE JOBLESS, YOUR JOBS WE WILL TAKE AWAY FROM YOU AND OUR PAY WILL BE QUADRUPLED BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT PEOPLE INTELLECTUALLY BLESSED HAVE GRACED THEIR PRESENCE"......in other words shuuushhhh and be thankful to us cos without us staying abroad, some of you people will be begging on the streets for food.

Don't hate us cos we appreciate countries who have given us more than we could have asked for, don't blame us for not regarding that shait hole of a country called Nigeria. Why should I be proud of Nigeria? why should I have hope in Nigeria?when even the government know that nothing good is forth coming into and from that country, cos if they believed, they wouldn't pay millions to keep their families outside Nigeria.

YES MY NAME IS JENNIFER KADRY AND I TYPED THIS.......Hit your heads and thank you very much. cool
I just read ur first two sentences and decided u spewed rubbish here. Who cares if people hate u, me or Nigerians? Who cares if Nigerians in naija hate those in Diaspora? How is that my problem or ur problem for Godsake. U guys should learn to grow up. Nigeria is bigger than u, me and us all. It may be a shit hole to u and many other people but its a country to a lot of people. Its a country to the gateman, vulcanizer and mechanic. Its a country to people born there even if they later take other nationalities, its a country to lawyers, banker and doctors. U should be ashamed of urself 4 ur post besides, i wonder what u are doing here in the first place if u have such low opinion of Nigeria. Leave, vamos, getout let us know which people are left abeg.

Romance › Re: 10 Ways Ladies Flirt That Men Don't Notice by drnoel:
I find this post very funny. The thing women don't realize is that there are times a man is not in the mood to even look at a woman. At these times, he would just see what she is doing, understand it but keep quiet. It doesn't mean he is dump, it only means he just wasn't in the mood at that time to react.
look women, men are not dump in as much as you would like to think so but they really are not. Some men would want to play safe by pretending or acting like they didn't notice just so she could come out plainly and say whats bordering her so if she keeps twitching her eyes, always touching her hair or crossing and uncrossing her legs. It won't solve her problem till she comes out to tell him what her problem is. Its not about the game but more about pride, cos no one wants to be rejected. I 4 one also shiked girls those days in Uni but after I matured up and realized that I didn't have to, I taught myself to stop. Funny enough, it was when I actually stopped that I even got more female company than when I was going after them. I was never in want of female company cos the ladies happened to wether its by croak or by hook I can't really say but they shiked themselve even without my help. It used to surprise me then, it was like magic. This continued for a long time till I met my wife so I had to cut all attachments.
So ladies, if u keep breaking ur head about that guy u like that doesn't seem to notice ya, pls stop. He could just be trying 2 decide about his moves, or trying 2 tell u that u need to come out stronger and tell him whats bordering you or he may not just be interested. I will write about several situations as evidence of what am talking another time...

The entire citizens are not corrupt.
Its the mindset, it has to change. U can imagine people outside the country who already have this mentality about Nigeria meeting you for the first time. One told me plainly he knew my certificates where forged and I had to do technical exams to prove I was who I was. Guys, its really nasty. Nigerians have to change that mindset first, then people would change their opinion.

geeez: A lot of this 'scholar's' postulation has nothing to do with what FFK said

FFK raised fundamental issues around the control of the Lagos economy, clearly dominated by Yoruba industries with marginal contributions from Igbo traders (less than 9%)

If we look in2 that categorically, u will see that Femi is wrong. U can't base ur postulates on just made hear say but statistical data. The scholar just shed light on how wrong Femi was when he said that Yoruba's were the first to have education in Nigeria and the first to achieve academic excellence.

Etumgbe: Kebbi- A Retired High Court Judge in Kebbi state,Hon.Justice Zakari Gulma,62,has taken to teaching in primary schools as his post-retirement hobby.

Gulma,in Argungu on Sunday, said that prior to joining the judiciary sector in 1980, he had served as a teacher for 10 years. He stated that his love for teaching in a village school was to enable him contribute in raising the standard of education, considering the dearth of teachers The former judge explained that for this reason, he decided to resume teaching at the Fadama and Argungu Emirate Model primary schools in 2012, after his retirement.

He said his quest for knowledge propelled him to study law and become a Judge, serving for 19 years at the bench.

“A knowledgeable, well trained, dedicated and responsible teacher, will be honoured even after his death,” he stressed, adding that his decision to resume teaching while in retirement, had made him a fulfilled person He called on the state government to employ more qualified teachers in primary and junior secondary schools. “it is not enough to build more schools, but qualified and competent teachers need to be employed too.”

“The practice of not paying teachers adequately and promptly can only discourage people from becoming professional teachers,” he said.(NAN).

I do think this is a wonderful action but am saddened that he should have been teaching where his experience, and expertize is required and that is either law in the University, law school or teaching the police about how the Nigerian law system works. That should have been where he should have been teaching and not secondary school. His expertize is not utilized.
