I still dnt understand what the purpose of this fight is. Ghanaians are happy with themselves and country and Nigerians are happy with themselves and country. That is how it should be. Lets agree to disagree. What does it matter what ghanaians do or don"t do or what Nigerians do or dnt do. This is really silly.
I'm not sure the bolded is politically incorrect.

CelebritiesRe: Photos: Miss Nigeria Moves Into Her Lekki Mansion by druid06(m): 4:02pm On Jul 29, 2013
More like a 2 bedroom apartment or a studio bedroom apartment to me. This is no mansion.

I think the beauty pageant is a rip off. With all the endorsement, deals and profit they had, this is the best they could come up with?

I'm not just embarrassed and sad. I'm embrassad. The least they could do was find a professional interior decorator to work with the bedroom and the supposed kitchen.

This is ridiculous.
PoliticsRe: Any State Govt That Ignores Igbos Does So At The Risk Of Its Economy - Suswan by druid06(m): 10:56pm On Jul 28, 2013
biafranqueen: Did you know that the company that makes Indomie is Indian owned and the are building a 30 million dollar processing plant for Palm Oil. Can you name me one Palm Oil processing plant in Nigeria. Every single cosmetic industry in the world uses palm oil every packaged food company uses it. http://www.saynotopalmoil.com/palm-oil.php
The west is boycotting Malaylaia palm oil because they are cutting down trees to plant Palm Oil trees to meet the worlds demand. We already have them in the east in abundance. Fruit plantations are very profitable. How about growing tomatoes and bottling it instead of importing it. Palm Wine is so hard to get in the western world. If you know how much we pay for Igbo soup ingredients in America, very expensive. One just one dry fish is 2,500 NGNis $15.00 A small bag of egusi is $12.00. 2,000 NGN.

Are you getting my point?

Did you know that a hospital can be built for profit as well as serving the community. Agriculture is not just coco. What about fish, bush meat, chicken farming? The east has the space for so much industry. We have to think outside the box. My town alone has 1.5 million people, just Nnewi. You think Abuja has more opportunities because they have already been created. The youth have to stop looking for jobs and creating opportunities. By the way Nigerians spend $300,000 million dollars a year on Indomie

Dangote built a cement factory in Kogi because limestone is in abundance as it is in IMO state. What is stoping Igbos from doing the same, the land is rich with mineral resources untouched.

Kaolin is used for ceramics, lead for tv, Natural gas and oil is in the area but have not been taken advantage of because owners of the land are afraid of being exploited. Sandstone is in abundance. The East is full of natural resources in our own backyard trust me. The Japanese are interested big time in the east but your brothers won't tell you that. The ones in government that know are acquiring land silently. So I suggest you do look in your backyard. I know we have enough to go around that is why I refuse to keep silent anymore.
I am not sure if you have any idea how brainstorming and tedious it is to start a mechanized and large scale farming. Also, do you have any idea how much capital it would take to venture into such opportunity. The work load and risks are too much and the time waiting to get a return is too long. My fellow Igbo brother's are too impatient to wait that long to count on their loss or profit.

Also, how many igbos scattered all over Nigeria can afford to venture into large scale farming. You talk as if the capital to start such farming is easy to come by when the banks don't give out loans. Dangote built his cement factory in Kongi or so because as you put it, the land if filled with natural resources such as limestime used in making cements but the question you fail to ask yourself is, do you think he just woke up one morning and started building his factory. Don't you know the political mumjo jumbo he had to play in order to get a permit to mine limestone from the earth and I am not sure if you have any idea how hard it is go get a permit. Also, don't forget he had enough capital to venture into business. How would the common man get the capital and political know how on how to get such permit.

I think a governor or so or one of those looming politician has sighted the opportunity in the east and used his connection and his ill gotten wealth to build a cement factory in Abia state. Everyone knows that going into agriculture and farming requires too much capital and where would be average man get the capital from. I bet your argument would be to start in small scale but the question I pose to you is how much profit is there to be made in a small scale farming?

Another point where you don't seem to fanthom is that there're no connection oceans and seas in the east. If large scale trade were to be permitted. How would goods be moved easily from the east to other countries. Let me let you on a little secret, the reason why lagos has so much opportunities it's because of it's port. Ask any industrial captain or an economist, they would tell you the same thing.

My sister, the Igbo's are no fools and if there were big bucks to be made in the east, I'm sure we would not have wandered far in search of better opportunities.
PoliticsRe: Any State Govt That Ignores Igbos Does So At The Risk Of Its Economy - Suswan by druid06(m):
biafranqueen: Nna why are you hoping that we will have to fight for our lives that is not my point. You must be single if you pray that one day you may have to pick up arms to protect your children and wife. I am talking about the responsibility of Igbo men to build up the East. So you are hoping China or Hausa's will come and reap the benefits of the east. I do not pray that one day another war will break out, or more killing of Igbo 's will happen in the North, those recent killing were not really ethnic cleansing's,as we have seen Boko Boys have killed thousands of Muslims too.

I am just a women and can only as a wife and daughter of Ndi Igbo, advise the men to take responsibility of our land like Dangote did for his people. My grandfather was one of the first to build a factory after the war, he built schools and private roads. He and his friends created jobs and the infrastructure you now visit. When will this generation take responsibility?

We must stop building mansions that we visit once a year and help to build schools like the Prince of our Land Obi did. That is what I am talking about. We must help develop the east instead of shamelessly coming here bragging that we run this country, we are the economic power but we are waiting to see what government will develop.

It's ok I am doing my own part to reap the benefits and to develop it is just a shame I have to bring in outsider investors because my own people can not see the value of investing in the East.
Kindly explain what is there to invest in the east. Isn't it when you have a great demand you try to supply. We all know there's little or no money to be made in the east and that's why we're scattered all over..

The Igbo brethren are not stupid to leave the gold mine in their back if there's any to go harvest cocoa in another.. Think!!
FashionRe: Grandma Wants Cosmetic Surgery To Make Her Look Older by druid06(m): 7:01pm On Jul 28, 2013
Bimpss: She honestly doesn't look younger to me like she claim she does. Does she look like she might be in her early or mid 40's? sure. But in her 20's?? Absolutely not. I just feel like she is doing this because she is fishing for compliments, and she wants people to assure her that she is alright for her age. If she really wants to start looking like her age:she needs to start dressing like she is almost 50,and Stop using makeup.Voila! Her problem would be fixed.
Thank you!
At least one person must talk otherwise , even if the whole thing happened before some people they will still not believe , its rather quite Unfortunate , i have witnessed a flats burnt , ceilings , electronics virtually everything got burnt but the Holy Bible was left unburnt.don't ask me for pictures because it happened 9 years ago , even the one backed up with pictures are denied .before we get bothered about some comments i think we have to take a look at the user id ,Crazyman Indeed.
The question you should be asking yourself is, if the Bible could be saved from the inferno by an unknown force or because of it's miraculous powers, why couldn't it save the whole building from such destruction... Since the Bible has Miraculous power and is not prone to pyrokinetics. Why didn't the powers of the Bible stop the car from the accident and the burning fire.

Mrs chima claims she's married to an igbo, how many igbo males interact with her here? Very few.
I'm not sure if Mrs. Chima is a dude or a broad or someone with identity crisis. She appears to be female on some topics while on other's she's male. I'm confused.

BTW, reason why her/his circle of friends are mostly yorubas is probably because of her/his bad attitude. No Igbo dude would tolerate such nonsense.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Why Do Older Nairalanders Discriminate Against The Younger Ones? by druid06(m): 10:17pm On Jul 26, 2013
The attitude I so much despise on this forum is the "First to comment" written on any fresh threads that hits the frontpage.

And sincerely speaking, I have witnessed even the older members displaying such childish attributes on this Forum.

I am not really sure what the writer of this thread has in mind but I believe we're all adults on this Forum. Most of the members on here ranges from 20-35 years old which in most countries are regarded legally as adults.

There's nothing anyone can do to change the mindset of people on here. Some dudes are here to have fun and troll at the despair of others.

I have since learned to avoid some comments/behaviours on this forum since it's not worth it while I have guiltily repayed fire for fire to some individuals on here too. The annoying part of these all is the wolf pact some older members on this forum has formed. It makes it hard for new members to mingle which in a way seems like segregration and discrimination.

I don't really give a hoot about Nairaland and it's members when I have real friends in the real world instead of pretending to be something I'm not to impress some anonymous individuals who may seem to be what they project online.

So in a nutshell, an advice to the op is try not to give a f-uck like I do. It seems to work for me grin grin
