The most logical sense is to build more refineries and refurbish/repair the 3(maybe 4) we have but trust the federal government not to do anything that would diminish their ability to keep it's citizens in bondage and in perpetual punishment. Although Ben Bruce has a good point, but it's altogether not a great one being that these illegal refineries produces substandard petrol products that might be detrimental to working machinery and what not. You also have to consider the harm that might come from using products from these illegal refineries because of the amateurish way they refine crude oil. |
PappyMason:You're a fvcking slowpoke. |
This is 2015 people and not some back-era colonial period. We should have by now learnt to tolerate one another and our differences but it seems that's not the case. The amount of bigotry and segregation on this site is so appalling and could be considered nauseating. I used to be an active member of this site until I couldn't handle the amount of bigotry and hatred being shelled out on a daily basis. Why are we like this, fighting and causing each other harm for trivialities. Yoruba-Igbo-Hausa's should stop finger pointing each other but instead look for a solution to our imminent social and moral decay. In short words, GROW UP PEOPLE! |
I'm sure the dog is a mastiff. |
plaetton:Not sure which side you're on plaetton, you seem to have a dual personality and an ambiguous ideology regarding faith and religion. One moment you're an atheist and on another you're an animistic agnostic or something similar favoring the African spiritualism.. |
plaetton:Absolute hogwash. They failed because the colony was still new. There was no experience. This could be compared to your first day at your new job after just graduating freshly from school... You'd also have to consider that only a few individuals were educated back then.. Religious, cultural intolerance could also be included as reasons that prevented Nigeria from Industrialization, development. |
mmsen:And where has liberalism and free thinking has ever been accepted in African cultures? The African culture has always been pervasive towards liberalism. On a side note, isn't liberalism and free thinking one of the basic tenets of western education/value system? Call it formal education or western education.. Whatever works for you but I'd never try to be politically correct for some extremist apologist and so I'd continue referring to the term as western education. |
plaetton:There's never been anything proven to work 100% completely and so why do you think western education and value systems would do otherwise? And you talk about our resources depleting like it's incorrect. I wish I had a source for this but I read somewhere where ground water are gradually depleting and out total atmospheric oxygen is on the reducing side. Why do you think most developed countries are investing in alternative means of power instead of solely relying on oil? There's hunger and discontent in the world in places where the few people chosen to lead are in there for their selfish reasons and greed. Take a look at the poorest countries in the world and check the corruption in there and how their elected representatives are living in absolutely luxury... Would you tell me the poverty in that part of the world is caused by western economic system? Also, the reason why most countries war on others is for greed and has nothing to do with the western economic system. Listen Plaetton, western education, value systems and economic systems has done more good than harm. You're smart man, you know this and I'm not sure why you're being so rebellious to the truth. |
plaetton:Western education might not be the zenith for civilization but what other option is out there? |
mikebuddy:Send me your phone number so I can get in touch.. Also, I just sent you an email. |
Hello everyone, I just recently noticed on my dashboard a message indicating a P.S (power steering) failure and I don't know what to do about it. My steering wheels seems difficult to maneuver and I have got this checked by an electrician/rewire with no possible solution.. Can someone help tell me what to do and what's wrong? |
High school senior Harold Ekeh didn't just get into one Ivy League university. He was accepted into all eight. Now comes the really hard part: Deciding where to go. He actually got into all 13 schools he applied to, including MIT and Johns Hopkins. "I am leaning toward Yale," he told CNNMoney. "I competed at Yale for Model UN, and I like the passion people at Yale had." Some of the Yale students he met became his friends and mentors, offering advice on the college application process. Now Ekeh is trying to do the same thing. Ekeh, 17, founded a college mentoring program at his school, Elmont Memorial High School on Long Island in the New York city suburbs. His goal is to get more students into top universities. Related: Harvard rejects about 95% of applicants American dream: Ekeh was born in Nigeria and came to the United States when he was eight. He wrote his main college essay about the struggle to adjust, including being clueless in U.S. history classes at school. He said he would ask his parents repeatedly why they moved. "We had a fairly comfortable life in Nigeria, but they told me we moved to America for the opportunities like the educational opportunities," he recalled. The salutatorian is quick to credit his parents, school and community for his success. "I am very humbled by this," Ekeh said. "It's not just for me, but for my school and community. We can accomplish great things here." Related: 17-year old rejects Duke's rejection letter A passion for science: He wants to major in neurobiology or chemistry in college and later become doctor and, ultimately, a neurosurgeon. He was named a 2015 Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist earlier this year for his research on how the acid DHA can slow Alzheimer's. For Ekeh, the cause is personal. His grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when he was 11. One of his proudest moments was running home to tell his mother and aunts about the breakthroughs he was finding with DHA. "When other kids would say, 'I want to be a superhero or police officer,' I would say, 'I want to know what is on the inside of us,'" he said. Related: Stanford offers free tuition for families with less than $125,000 The key to success: Outside of the lab, Ekeh directs a youth choir at his church, plays the drums, is part of Key Club and Model UN and was elected to the Homecoming court. He speaks Igbo and Spanish and has a 100.5% GPA. He's proud of acing the AP History Exam despite his early struggles with the subject. Elmont High School is 99% minority. Ekeh is the second student in recent years to win a prestigious Intel Science award. Principal John Capozzi calls Ekeh "one of the most humble young men I've ever had the opportunity to meet." The lab where Ekeh did his award-winning research is modest and only staffed part-time by a passionate chemistry teacher, but the community makes the most of what it has. Ekeh will spend the coming weeks visiting all the schools before making his final decision. His advice to other high school students is simple: "Like my parents always told us, the secret to success is unbridled resolve." Getting admission into any university in Nigeria offering medicine is usually difficult, time consuming and stressful all in all. You might have to take your jamb exams several times with extremely high-scores before any reasonable university would invite you to partake in their post-jamb examination which is usually hogwash considering the fact that most candidates accepted are those that water and bribe their way into full time admission. I'd advice you to accept to study Agriculture which has been offered to you on a platter than spend wasteful years and funds trying to study medicine. I understand your reason for wanting to study medicine but truth be told, the glamour and zeal has been stripped away from medicine long time ago. The current situation of the country has been redefined and you don't need to study a course with a high job prospect to be successful and so I'd advice you to accept their offer to study Agriculture which also has a high future prospectus and is vast. |
This is just a propaganda and a conspiracy theory but still, there might be some sounding truth in it. |
KanwuliaJara:Sorry for asking but your persona is so much alike to idwuogbo. Are you her? |
It's fun watching LASU students getting their freedom stripped away from them while being f u c k e d in the a r s e by the school's administrative. |
Fatalveli:I had a girl say the same thing to me once when it was obvious she had a phone dangling from the sides of her shorts. It was a little embarrassing for me because I just wanted to be friends and nothing more. I joking told her I was going to buy her a phone to reduce the awkwardness. She should have openly told me she wasn't giving me her digits and I'd have been more understanding about it but to lie about not having a phone is just too absurd. Note to girls out there, learn how to politely turn down a guys approach. |
People should never give up to the mindset of gambling their lives away for a political aspirant. They're not worth it because most of these so called politicians are psychopaths who are very manipulative and always show an outward appearance totally different for who they are. Vote for a candidate you feel it's right and not for the party or whatever the media tells you. |

Is it me or did anyone get a migrane just reading her converse in 'pidgin'. Anyway, nice try. Cute kitty also. |
Is it me or did anyone notice the dude has a female name. |
I thought the reason why the government made religious institutions tax free is to remove their direct involvement in politics. I'm still not sure why these same bodies go around solidifying their acknowledgement of a candidate aspiring for a political post. With the way things are going with these same religious bodies interfering with politics, it wouldn't be a surprise when a government comes and start levying taxes on their organizations. I hope they don't yell "blue murder" when that time comes. Moreover, I thought the fundamental bases of religion is to enrich the moral, ethos and the spiritual growth growth of their members/individuals willing to grow consciously. I'm not sure how their involvement in politics helps in that scenario. Also for a christian church publicly offering supporting to a candidate known to be highly corrupt says a lot about the decadence of the church itself as a religious entity. |
I'd most likely call a friend for some cash or something. |
There's a popular saying that goes by "By their fruit, you shall know them". This man of GOD has time without number defiled the negative connotation aligned with his name and church. This is a true man of GOD in my own opinion. He behaves exactly the same way Jesus Christ taught the disciples and his followers how to behave and live. He is humble, generous and a good man in general. I still find it difficult to believe the sheer ignorance of people who find him and his church detestable compared to other churches. Anyway, I'm happy the man of GOD is forever being used as a tool by GOD to give deliverance and breakthrough to his followers and those who believes in his good work. |
misszainab:Sia has a song too titled "Big girls don't cry". |
The thing that baffles me the most is if she wants you to serve and be one with her, why does she keeps curbing your wealth. It just doesn't make sense to me. |
Sia - Big girls don't cry. |
Hey! Could someone educate me on the dealings with the synagogue collapsed structure. What happened? What is the story coming from the man of GOD causing the collapse of the building? What are other (Law Enforcement Authority) saying caused this? |
fr3do:Don't get me wrong man! All I'm saying is if it's consensual then we shouldn't put too much emphasis on it. If a man enjoys putting his wiener on another man's orifice while the other consent then it's none of our business. We shouldn't breathe over the small stuffs. |
coogar:It's morally wrong there. And like I've said earlier, the health implication if this two siblings where to have children would be dire for their posterity. |
fr3do:Oh man! This is a good question if you exchange "truth" for "morality". I think the right answer to your question is that morality is relative and not universal. What might be considered an abomination to a certain group of people might be considered lawful and moral to others. If you might have taken the time to read my first comment, I laid an advice to the OP to either hide his sexxual preference from being known or just simply move to an area where it's okay to be gay. My own bone of contention with this whole gay saga in Nigeria is the amount of violence perpetrated to people suspected of being homosexuals. The sheer gravity of it is very appalling. |
coogar:Incest isn't an orientation and neither is it a preference I think. It's just a term identifying with the coital relations between siblings. From my limited understanding, It's frowned upon because of the health hazard that goes with it. |
