Who else is going to be responsible for the bad roads in Nigeria? The Americans? When the Nigerian government would spend a very minute percentage of the funds released to repair and build these roads thereby making substandard roads and you expect those roads to withstand the test of time? |
Now we know who wears the trousers in that family. |
Being a slow news day on Nairaland while I had somehow being avoiding this topic for personal reasons, I am going to comment on this topic nevertheless since I am bored out of my mind and I think I am running out on booze. ![]() Long distance relationships might work and might not depending on the individuals involved. Take for example, a career oriented man who's always busy chasing his dream and traveling around to make sure his business or that of his companies grows and developes and is married. If he has an understanding wife/partner who trusts and understands him knowing full well the nature of his job, she might persevere. Also married couples could undergo such torture if one or both couples find themselves apart for some reason known to them same with Military wives and their husbands. Where a long distance relationship might not work is when one or both parties might not return for some reason unknown to them. Take for example, you meet someone online or via any social networking site and you both hit it off immediately and you began dating knowing the distance between you guys being one of the individual in that kind of relationship is thousand of miles and ocean away in another far country and that individual has no reason to leave to meet you for whatever personal reasons being it work or some personal stuff and you on the other hand don't think of ever relocating. On such scenerio, long distance relationships would never work. So like I have said, it all depends on the couples and their willingness to make sacrificies and the type of relationship they are in i.e marriage. Personal, I can't handle the torture of being in a long distance relationship as one might go loco if you're not strong emotionally to deal with it. |

ujchief: Rubbish! House of reps members have immunity on the floor of the house of assembly. Anything they say or do inside the confines of the legislative house is protected by immunity and they can't be prosecuted.I don't know much about the Nigerian politics and my knowledge about our law and constitution is very lenial but I do know if you physically assualt an unarmed man for whatever reason known to you, the law would take it's full act on you Are you telling me if this Chidi Lloyd had murdered his victim, he would gotten away with his primitive act just because of he is protected under the immunity clause. I don't think that it works that way in the way you explained it. |
Airforce1: Not every iidiot that speaks to me I speak back at especially when the stuupid iddiott is not on tha same level with meI would take it that you were not referring to me. I was only being a comic. |

gluv01: Yep..very obvious. I can speak a little Welsh.Don't they speak the queens English or do they have their own language? |
gluv01: British accent and WelshIs there any difference? |
biafranqueen: What you are talking about is a revolution and they can be non violent like in Chile, Philippeans, Kenya and Panama.Non-violent revolutions are not potent. The government needs to see that we're serious. |
Robber band, though it is notorious for it's elasticity, it cuts when it exceeds it's breaking point. Same with metal like lead. Lead is notorious for it's density and it's tenacity but it has a boiling point. You don't push a person and ecpect not to get punched. I am not prophet but this has been my debate amongst my colleagues and friends about an incoming revolution or an uprising. I get booed by some of my friends while others agree to my thesis. The french revolution started when the yardstick between the rich and the poor was too much and the poor couldn't take it anymore. There was so much corruption and injustice that the rich kept getting reacher while the poorer were left in worst conditions. Then the poor took matters into their own hands and started an uprising which later became a revolution. The revolution that would happen in Nigeria is going to be bitter sweet. Though hundreds even thousands may loose their lives but the country would return back to it's grace it once was when our colonial masters where still the leaders. I disagree about the part where the man in the synagogue said this problem could be averted if the government listens to the demand of the youths and start creating jobs. The problem has gotten beyond that point and Prophet T.B Joshua is forgot to mention one key points, our leaders never listen. We've gotten to this abyss because our leaders never listen to our cries. They don't care for our future. It's all about them and their families as they indirectly handle the mantle of power from one family member to another. The power keeps circulating within them. Even Mr. President has turned the Nigerian consitution and the Nigerian government into a laughing stock of the world with his policies and public sham. I am ready for a revolution because I am sick and tired of our cries not being heard. I am sick and tired of the degrading nature of our socio-economic values and I want a better Nigeria. I am sick and tired of jobless graduates roaming around the street looking for any employment while some would even going to meagre jobs left for unskilled laborers. I want a Nigeria where my children and theirs would meet and enjoy. I want Nigeria to be returned back as the leading force in Africa and retrieve the mantle of being the giant of Africa. I want a Nigeria where our education system is amongst the best in the world, where there's constant electricity, available drinking water, good infractures and good roads. Without a revolution, we're always goint to remain where we are. Stagnant. |
What comes to my mind every morning after a good night sleep depends. After a drunken night - Shi-t I messed up last night. How did I get here??.. ![]() After watching a horror flick - Shi-t I shouldn't have watched that movie SAW last night. After waking up from a nightmare - Who did I offend that was chasing me with cutlass last night in my dreams . Kneels down and pray.During weekdays - Time to go to work. During weekends - Wake up thinking about going back to sleep. Sleeping without eating the night before - What do I eat. Waking up after a good lay - Damn she's good. Most morning after waking up - I pray. Most morning after waking up - I think of making more money. In love- thinking about that person. It all depends as I don't just think about one thing every morning after a good night sleep. |
