The people who voted Bakare on ths forum are mostly non.xtian. what better testimonybcan a man obtain for the cours of christ than this. Hebrew says the elders hav obtained a good report. Bakare has obtaind.a good report , my friend. |
Kabikala: I disagree with this award.May I offer a word on this issue as I try to approach the issues you raised paragraph by paragraph Paragraph 1: It is easy to say Bakare is bitter when you consider he lost an election against GEJ and remains his worst critic; but Bakare is known to criticized past head of states, Pastors, and even Ojukwu; the question is "did he contest elections against those ones too?" If you would unbiasingly consider the context in which Bakare criticizes anyone, you would realize that the criticism was valid. And Yes he criticized Buhari once but came out to state he was wrong on the man and supported his candidacy before he was invited by Buhari to run for presidency. Paragraph 2: Those who know Bakare well know that he prediction do come to pass. Among others, he predicted the time and manner with which Abacha will die and it happened. Recently he predicted ACN will loose gallantly in Ondo; and they did. Yes some of his prediction have not come to pass bc the best of prophets are still men at their best. It could be said that Jonah's prediction that Neneveh will be destroyed missed the mark. The issue about prophecy is that sometimes the prophetic word may not be clear to the prophet himself and he has to use words to describe what he is seeing to the best of his ability. It is only after the event that he understands it better himself. One certain thing about Bakare's prophecy on GEJ is that he is not Nigeria's messiah and at God's mercy to this nation, he would not finish his term in Aso-Rock. Paragraph 3: Bakare's silence on the killings followed the silence of many other prominent Nigerians who believe that the fruit of voilence Nigeria is reaping is the result of years of PDP planting corruption in our body polity. There was no reason to talk officially on the issue since the CPC and Buhari, their party leader, had spoken on it. But then he did speak in passsing on the issue, making reference to it in his messages. Latter Rain being a church that offers prayers for the family of people lost to voilence in the nation. And for his being not your hero; that is fine but considering the amount of votes he garnered from folks on this forum, he is an hero to some other people. You have your say, gentle man, but the majority have had thier way here. Finally, in a nation were christianity has gone over to the dogs it is refreshing to know that someone like Bakare can still keep the touch of Christ shining. The people who voted for Bakare on this forum were mostly non-christians, what is a better way |
A hearty congratulation to Pastor B, my Pastor and mentor. Thank you NLandrs for honoring ths great man of courage. |
i enjoyed reading this OP. Well done. |
Techwriter got it right when he said d can president office is political but missed d point subseq A polittical.office will.carry out political duties and not spiritual. Thus d challenge oritssejafor is having. There are conflict of interest. There is no point removing him. Christians should only know that his presence is not for any spiritual significanc. We should seek for our redemption elsewhere. |
pls can anyone shed some light on the veracity of this news those guys speed too much to say the least |
An Advice to Christian on NL. When you come here to make comments, know that you are speaking to the public where there are atheist, agnostics, muslims, and a legion of other beliefs. So expect to be queried, insulted, etc. But NL offers an opportunity to state the truth; which we need not have to prove; we state it, trusting the Holy Spirit to use it to convince the worst skeptic in the day of their need to bring them to faith in Jesus. So take all comments with a large heart. Having said that, let me state that all gifts stated in 1Corinthians 12 are a reality today and bc some like interpreting of tongues is not so common does not mean it doesn't exist. Scripture says it does and I believe it. I have witnessed interpreting of tongues but on very few occasions. I think the Holy Spirit gives and manifest the gifts as they are needed. While it is true there is a thousand and one fake tongue out there, there are genuine ones too. I speak in tongues and sometimes even have the wonderful experience of groaning, a deeper prayer also in tongues and sometimes inaudible. BUT, in my view while tongues helps a great deal in prayer, manifesting the gifts of the Spirit as it is common with Pentecostal is not the most important thing but 1Corinthian 13: LOVE. Christians are called to live up their lives in love in such a way that they convince the ever so skeptic world that Jesus Christ is Lord. Speaking with tongues, performing miracles and the likes, while society remains corrupt and backward is not a good testimony to the Lordship of our Lord. So speak in tongue in your closet but more importantly live a life that benefits society, bringing social reformation and good governance. That is the good report that the elders obtained in Hebrew 11 and it is the good report that many Pentecostals do not have in Nigeria because many cannot reconcile a tongue talking society with one steeped in corruption and violence. |
doctokwus: As painful& annoying as d story sounds, there are always 2sides to a story.Op wasn't obviously there wen d assault happened;let's not crucify d guy b4 hearing a truthful account of all dat transpired;d assault however,if found to av bn done not in self-defence is highly condemnable& d culprit shd b brought to justiceWhat side of a story does someone have to tell when he breaks into your home and stabs you through with a broken bottle. It's easy to type free on your phone and say what you like when you are not the victim. Whatever that guy has to say, in a civilized country, he should be saying it behind bars. But alas, is this one a civilized country... considering comments like the above. I praise the poster for putting up this story on the internet. Let the uproar that it would naturally generate bring that young man to justice! |
obalukan: @ poster, you are a good person and i hope every body is happy to read all your post. Keep it up, nairaland need a person like you.Thank you. I had a heck of a time obtaining information on how to travel to Tunisia and I thought devulging this one would ease some body's quest to travel too. bugzi: Thank you, this information was useful but how do I dial the number, its just saying incorrect....and I was told getting the visa at the port of entry is not possibleWell it is possible the tel no is non functional now. I never used it. The best bet is to visit the embassy in Abuja yourself and make inquiries or get some one to do it for you who live in ABuja As for the documents you will need. Well everything as pertaining to your travel: passport, letter of invite from your host; accomodation proof; etc. I am sure Tunisia issues visas to people at the point of entry but they may be hard on Nigeria because of our history of dishonesty and the fact that you could have contacted their embassy in Abuja before making the journey. The people who are given such visas at the airport are mostly those without a an embassy in their country. My Ghananian friend who attended the conference with me had a heck of time with his airport officials as he had to bribe his way all to Tunis. In Muritala airport Ican assure you it will be worse off. Good luck, guys on your travel. |
I just read this letter off this link: http://newsrescue.com/documents-contradict-achebe-book-there-country-facts-biafra-genocide/#axzz29YVapYQ8 I was going to open a thread but checked through and trust NL it is here already. The question to those who share the Achebe thinking: Is the letter the truth or was it forged or simply made up? |
On the procedure for getting visa I have talked about that DrummaBoy: Well apparently, I had to answer my question myself.and DrummaBoy: Sorry I saw this late but if it will still help: you apply in person @ the embassy and then pay a fee of N4,500 after the visa is granted. As for cost of living, from what I experienced it is higher than that of Lagos or even Abuja. Maybe in per with living in PH. Poing is you must have a job to do! I lived in a hotel paid for by the agency that sent me for 6 days, but I still think cost of living a bit higher than that of Nigeria. Food is cheaper though. But rent and other, certainly higher. Hope that helped. |
Wow, It seem I am becoming an authority in Tunisia travel, lol! Let me make it clear what informed my travel to Tunis, Tunisia, so that some people don't see it as an escape route again for Nigerians. I was sent by office for an international training. So I needed to get visa to the country after I had been invited by the training director, my hotel accomodation secured and sundry documents obtained. When I came to Nairaland to seek info, there was virtually non. I eventually got the embassy adress in Abuja, travelled to Abuja for and applied for the visa and was granted in about 10 days. I paid N4,500 for it. For the person asking the flight cost. Well, till today I did not find out bc the flight was paid for. I travelled with Quatar Airways with a flight to Dohar, Qatar, then unto to Tunis, Tunisia. And I came back same route. Four flight about 24 hours journey. Very hectic. But for those who are really intent on going to Tunisia, this is what I found about the country which may help you (by the way I spent 6 days, and I enjoyed every moment of it) 1. It is a french speaking country with very few people speaking English, so arm yourself with french and Arabic to live in Tunisia. 2. It has a good and stable economy with 1 Tunisian Dinar translating to 100 naira or 1 dollar to 5 dinar ( i think!?) 3. Things are a bit more expensive in that country than Nigeria so travel with a good supply of dollars. Their economy resembles a europian economy bc they have close ties with italy and france. 4. You hardly find a Nigerian bc it is french speaking 5. Like I said b4 you can travel to Tunisia without a visa 6. Tunisia is the most liberal islamic nation in the middle east region. The men can only marry one wife. I saw so many women driving. 7. I would advice one travels to Tunisia as a proffesional or equiped with ability to make money. Find someone you can hang with for about half a year and then find your own place. 8. etc, As I find more info I would let you know. |
obalukan: @ Drumma, Thanks for the information can you please me the application procedures and the visa fee. ThanksSorry I saw this late but if it will still help: you apply in person @ the embassy and then pay a fee of N4,500 after the visa is granted. Your visa is almost certain if you have an invite from Tunisia and your ticket and accomodation is sure. In fact Tunisia is one country you can fly to and obtain visa at the airport b4 entering the nation only ensure your documents are sure. |
I just purchased this Toyota Corolla vehicle as Tokunbo and not Niger used. First, I need a manual for it and would appreciate anyone who can give me a clue as to how to find one. It is so bad I don't know what year the car is despite being so popular on the street. Secondly, we purchased this car with the hope that it would save fuel but I realize I need no less than 5K a week to fuel it, that is 20k a month. I walk rouphly 20km every day; in addition to go slow. Someone adviced me to use a coolant for my radiator. Is this right and what type should I use. It is automatic and I was told not to keep the car on drive for too long in hold up but rather place it on neutral. Is this good practice. I would appreciate anyone who can advice me more on how the manage this car, preferably, someone who has used it before. Thanks - The Drummer |
Well your contributions have not helped me bc I drive an automatic and was told to save fuel and relieve the engine I should put my car gear in Neutral(N) when in hold up, especially if the hold up is elongated. Is this good practice? |
![]() Still awaiting a reply. Thank you. |
Good day guys Pls I would appreciate it if anyone can help me with a link to getting a service manual for a Toyota Corolla 1998. Or better still send me the PDF format to electronic_mails_4me@yahoo.com Thanks |
I live in Ibadan, Akobo city to be exact.I have a great Landllord. A Christian man, Redeemed Pastor. I have no qualms with him whatsoever. Issues crop up and we resolve them like Gentlemen. I think I just try not to allow my wife's feeling get me instigated against him and he does the same with his wife too and so far so good. However, the blessing of having a Dracula for a Landlord is that you build your house quickly and the downside of having a good one is that you feel to comfortable and think what the need for my own house... Goodluck OP on your Landlord issues |
that is no point kobojunkie, PERSISTENCE is the name of the game. the more we talk about it the greater the tendency for the issue to fly Now this is my take on the death penalty: I support more than fully. However as we work on the death penalty we must seek legal reforms so that corrupt cases be thouroughly investigated and people are truly found corrupt so we don't create confusion in the land. Goodnessy: Corruption germinates in our agencies, ministries, parastatals and courtrooms to the extent of ruining us. Nigeria is atrophying by the day and we are so comfortable with this mediocrity that it pinches my heart. Fellow Nairalanders, is it impossible to ask for death sentence for corrupt officials and get it? We can initiate a private Members Bill at the National Assembly for this purpose, if it fails we wait and get our incoming senators to assure us of this and if they fail eventually we recall them.I know we need to do something fast.that is no point kobojunkie, PERSISTENCE is the name of the game. the more we talk about it the greater the tendency for the issue to fly Now this is my take on the death penalty: I support more than fully. Thanks every one your contributions have been very help. My girl was 3 months yesterday, and like all said, the hiccups have reduced a great deal. 14. simpleseyi: Please what is the meaning of "hiccups"? I have a very young baby too. Please educate me. Well hiccuping is that situation that occurs when babies, after eating begin to hiccup - I mean where their chest goes in and out almost continual and the baby makes a sound with the mouth, lilke "hiccup"! Now how do you define hiccuping. Hope that helped Simpleseyi? |
1) Detailed description of the problem you're experiencing with new Nairaland at the moment. God bless your soul Seun for this thread. I was just about to open a thread on it when I saw this on front page. Before going ahead to answer the question as you requested, note that my problem is so bad I have not been able to access NL on my phone since you uploaded. So whatever you can do to help peeps like me, pls do. When I input the NL http on my phone, it always says memory not sufficient. I don't what other memory it wants since I use an extra memory card on the phone! 2) The exact name and model of the phone with which you're currently experiencing the problem. My phone is called ZEN. It's a chinko phone but it use to serve me just fine with the last web design. My wife's MTN phone too cannot browse the website. By the way I am writing this from the office computer. 3) The mobile phone browser with which you browse Nairaland when you experience this problem.[/b][/b] I honestly don't understand what you mean by mobile phone browser. But I use both MTN and Airtel as my ISPs. Thanks |
Well apparently, I had to answer my question myself. So this is for the information of those who may wish to know. The Tunisian embassy located in located @ plot 79, Younis Basorun str., VI. has moved to Abuja since 2003: Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia Address: 11, Kainji Street, Off Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama, Abuja Phone: +234 9 4132966-7; Fax: +234 9 4132668 Apparently all visa application to Tunisia must be done in person at that location. Thank you. |
not one of them wrote a line of correct/legible english. is afrikaans still official in dat country? |
I will be traveling to Tunisia towards the end of next month for a short course. I have tried to see if I could get to their embassy via the internet but the address (Plot 79 Younis Bosorun Street, VI, Lagos) is like unknown on Lagos map and the phone no is not working. Does that address really exist? Pls does anyone know anything about applying to Tunisian Embassy for visa? What is their Visa application process, cost, etc. I would appreciate any worthwhile explanation. Thank You. |

I was asked by a family member, who knows I’m an occult researcher, to look into Whitney Houston’s death, as being a sacrifice. Now, I don’t usually do too many articles on the Illuminati and their connections with the music industry, because there are thousands of researchers that investigate this sort of thing, but when I looked into this one I figured it was worth sharing my opinions with the world. Before I get into my research I want to say that I was a Whitney Houston fan and I never judged her as a crackhead, like many others. I know that it is strong people within the music industry and she was definitely one of them. She started out in the Choir and her first solo performance was “Guide Me O Thou Jehova”. Whitney was one of the few entertainers who got a record deal, because of her true talent and not because of connections and affiliations that she had. She paved the way, with her voice and image, for many diva’s that would come after her. Whitney is free from the body and free from the matrix, which means her mission here was complete. Even though there is tons of research proving it, many people don’t believe that there is a secret society that controls the music and film industry. This is mostly due to ignorance and those people that make this claim are usually the ones who have done zero research into the topic. They simply make these statements because they don’t want to awaken from their celebrity dream world and that is ok. This is why the owners of the matrix put so much money and time into promoting celebrities, because the celebrities are the stars that keep the matrix alive to billions. Whitney Houston sold over 100 Million records and generated Billions of Federal Reserve notes (dollars), Euro’s, and pounds, for the world rulers. But more important than the money, Whitney Houston represented an image to the world and images in the matrix have to be controlled to their end. I was in the music industry and anytime I involve myself in something I do research to see what I am getting myself into. When I did my research on the music industry I found out that there are 3 major labels that own the Industry and all of the smaller labels within it. These labels are Sony, Universal, and Warner Brothers. Now, what most people don’t realize is that these record labels are all owned by certain Elite families. Just because a company is a publicly traded one doesn’t mean that it can’t be privately owned. A publicly traded company is broken down into three parts, bonds, preferred stocks, and common stocks. A corporation is issued bonds from a bank and it then begins to invest into itself with the banker money. The stocks are issued out, first to the preferred stockholders, and then the general public gets a shot at investing into the stocks, as common stock holders. A corporation is simply a vehicle, called an artificial person in law, that is used to move finance from one place to the next. The bond holders are the true owners of the corporation and as I said above the bond holders are bankers. It is common knowledge that the global Elite run the world through the practice of banking, which is rooted in lending. The Rothschild family are the money manipulators and masters who control banking in Europe and the Rockafeller’s control banking here in the Corporate U.S. Thus, at the end of the day the entertainment industry is controlled and owned by the bankers, just like every other industry. Everything that takes place in public is first planned in private through secret societies. This is the way the world has always worked and the music industry is no exception to this. Before a entertainer is given a recording contract they must first be a member of a secret society. A so called X member of the Illuminati, who was a music executive in the 70’s spoke about this publicly, his name was John Todd. According to Todd, every musician and entertainer in the music industry and Hollywood, has to be a initiated wizard or witch before they are offered a recording contract. This is what some writers have called the selling of the soul or light to Lucifer. In his speeches John Todd further demonstrates that after the record is cut and the master is finished, it is then given to a coven of witches and wizards who conjure up a demon. Once the demon is conjured the witches and wizards ask the entity to attach itself to every copy or duplicate that is sold to the public, which guarantees the success of the record and also takes control of the listener. If you want to research Todd’s work in full I have all of his recorded material on MP3 and would be glad to send it to you. (Email me at 13signsastrology@gmail.com) The point I am making above is that the music industry is a cult and once one gets a record deal they are now an initiate and are a part of the cult for life. Whitney Houston was no exception to this rule and she took the oath back in the 70’s. Once the oath is pledged you become the property of the record labels and the machines and you can NEVER retire. The only way out of the game is death! If you think I’m lying, please email me with one entertainer who has successfully retired from the industry, never to come back again. There is no way out. Whitney Houston reached the peak of her career in 1992 when she starred in the film Body Guard, with Kevin Costner. If you notice all of the big entertainers have to do a film when they reach their peak so that they can generate more capital for their masters aka the label. Whitney had a pristine image, for the most part, and this is why many, including myself, respected her. In her music and even in the Body Guard film she played the type of person she was in real life. Little did Whitney know that the people that control the industry love to breakdown the image of pure and clean folks and this is exactly what they set out to do after the Body Guard film. She later starred in Waiting To Exhale and Cinderella, but information began to leak that she was often late for interviews and a no show sometimes. This was around the same time she met and would eventually marry Bobby Brown. You see, in the music industry nothing happens without the consent of the label and Whitney meeting and marrying Bobby Brown was no different. The life of an entertainer doesn’t stop when the cameras go off, the entertainment spills over into your personal life, because as I said above, when you sign the deal you are now the property of the labels. The labels allowed Whitney to Marry Bobby Brown and if one does any investigation they will see that her life began to go downhill shortly after. Now I’m not blaming Bobby for Whitney’s fall, because he took the oath and made a deal with the goat just like her, so I believe they used Bobby to make Whitney’s life more interesting and to begin to tarnish her image. Like I said the music industry is not for those who are pure at heart and Whitney was a pure soul indeed! The labels knew what kind of person Bobby was and they knew he would be a good pick for their goals with Whitney. So, the labels began to work rituals based on Bobby and Whitney’s relationship, remember everybody in the game aka the industry plays a part even when the cameras go off. Whitney Houston stated in her interview with Oprah in 2010 that she was attracted to Bobby because he, “took control of her and their relationship, and she liked that.” In reality Bobby was acting as Whitney’s handler, which is a term used in mind control. A handler is one who is used within a mind control experiment to break another and to get them to do what the controllers of the experiment want, this was Bobby’s role. The labels wanted to spice up Whitney’s life aka destroy her pristine image, which they had been targeting since she got into the industry. You may wonder why they would want to do a thing like this, but if you’re not in the industry then you can’t imagine how diabolical the people are who run the show. These people thrive on drama, sex, violence, and drugs. As they say, sex sales! Entertainers are products of the elite and they are treated as such, they (The Elite) don’t give a shit about human values morals and the likes. The people that are behind the scenes are master witches and wizards and their goals are constant control and power. Whitney Houston was addicted to cocaine and she became infamous for this habit. You have to ask you’re self why was she addicted to cocaine, because from a metaphysical point of view, people that use drugs are using them to cover up something. According to her 2010 interview with Oprah, Whitney said, “Bobby would draw eyes all over their home.” Could these be the all seeing eye that depicts Lucifer’s eye within the occult. I already proved above that these people are witches and wizards. She further states that, “Bobby was her drug”, which further proves that she was using the drugs as an escape from her life with Bobby. Whitney wasn’t happy with herself and the way her life was ending up and in the same interview with Oprah she even referred to herself as “the devil.” According to Bobby Brown’s sister, who would go on drug binges with the couple, “Whitney hallucinates and sees demons when she’s high; she bites and beats herself black-and-blue but blames the devil for the injuries.” Bobby’s sister Tina goes on to say that, Houston sees ‘demons’ everywhere she goes, and beats herself up while saying “The Devil be hitting me.” Tina claimed that drugs have made Whitney so paranoid she sees evil apparitions and once drilled a spy-hole in her bathroom to look for “demons.” She said: “She’ll point to the floor and say, ‘See that demon. I’m telling you somebody’s messing with Bobby.’ She always thinks it’s something to do with Bobby.” She added: “She breaks everything – mirrors, phones, cabinets, appliances.”Now, ask yourself, what’s really going on within the music industry? Is it just drugs or was Whitney demon possessed? Why are all of these celebs hooked on drugs and why are all of these celebs dying young? Whitney was of no use to the industry anymore because as many of you know she couldn’t sing the way she use to. The drugs and the demons drained her life force, because Whitney was pure and wasn’t built for demonology. Whitney was sacrificed aka thrown from the freedom train, and done away with a day before the Grammy’s as a industry ritual. She was found dead in a bath tub within the hotel of Clive Davis Pre- Grammy Awards party. This was a ritual, just like every other aspect of Whitney’s life. Whitney was born on August the 9th and died on February 11th. (9-11) 9-11 is a numerical code used by the elite to perform human sacrifice rituals and Whitney’s death was no exception. She died a night before the Grammy’s because within the occult one can harness the energy of the deceased to attain the ends of their choice. Whitney’s energy will be used for the awards tonight and this is why the media jumped all over her death before the cause was even discovered. This is a ritual folks. My last piece of information that I will submit, about the occult connections to the music industry, is Madonna’s performance at the Super Bowl. This performance, by Madonna, was a High priestess ceremony. The costume worn by Madonna speaks volumes as to her rank with the secret society within the music industry. Madonna was interviewed, prior to the Super Bowl, on Anderson Cooper show and she said, “The Superbowl is kind of like the Holy of Holies in America. I’ll come at halfway of the “church experience” and I’m gonna have to deliver a sermon. It’ll have to be very impactful. Don’t take her words for granite, as she is telling you that her performance was a ritual. The Holy of Holy’s is the name of the most sacred place found within Solomon’s Temple. No one was ever permitted to enter the Holy of Holies but the High Priest. This privilege was only granted on the Day of Atonement, to offer the blood of sacrifice and incense before the mercy seat. Whitney Houston was the Blood sacrifice that was offered on the Sabbath day, or Saturday, exactly 7 days after Madonna’s performance. So there you have it folks. The music industry is really a secret society in disguise and it’s much more than music. If you’re considering being an entertainer do your research and know what you’re getting yourself into. Without knowledge of the occult one doesn’t stand a chance of surviving within the music and film industry. If you enjoy your own self expression and individuality then the industry isn’t for you. Once the deal is made your life will be ritualized and controlled forever.
