Yikes! angry
I opened this thread with the view to flip Bible verses that preach “Once saved, Always saved"!...
I'm disappointed undecided

Well, what the teaches might be different from the OP post

Checkout inspired warning of the disciples Jude to early Christains congregation that might have similar question..

Jude 5-
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
That's why Jude employed them regarding the salvation to put up a hard fight for the faith they have in common(Jude 3)

So a person’s final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus
He who endures to the end will be saved(Matt 24:13)
(compare with Heb 10:26,27)
Sweet!

Did I put up any interpretation? Doesn’t the scripture interpret itself?

I’d like to ask you these questions from the parable of the Sower:

1. Did the seeds in his bag have the power to choose which soil they would fall on?
2. Did the seeds have the power to leap off from the type of soil they fell on to dissimilar soil? For example: did the seed that fell by the road side have the power to leap off onto the good soil?
3. Was there anywhere in the narrative where they was a change in mind in the sower for him to turn back and pick each seed that fell on poor soil and place them on the good soil?

And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.

-Isaiah 35:8
You already know the answer and The Lord did not talk about their power to remain in the bag in His Explanation.

He Clearly Explained that "People/Humans are THE SEEDS" and He clearly told us the different things that shall happen to them, which we all have seen and bear witness to for we have seen and have known a particular person who falls into one of these groups of persons captured in that parable

Meanwhile, those who are planted in "good soil" are not seen and are very scarce, exactly as The Lord Said "and few there be that find it." Mathew 7:14.

Further your Isaiah 35: 8 which is presented above is bent differently (which is why I advocate for the use of KjV) leading you to have the view (I would have said the interpretation you are giving to it but you contested the word interpretation, so I hope "view" would be sufficient) you have presented which I respectfully say, is not correct.

For Isaiah 35:8-10 kjv proves my case of Only Those Planted on the Good Soil, duplicated hereunder.

"And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, (this was omitted in your quote above) though fools, shall not err therein. (which is to make a mistake or error. Why? Because they know not to make a mistake or error)

9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: (Only those who are truly redeemed, not everyone who claims they are redeemed. For no one redeems himself, therefore no one ought say that they are redeemed. For saying you are redeemed does not Redeem. For if you are Redeemed, you are Redeemed and it Shows without you having to say a word. Just like a person who is in the kidnappers den, is in the den and it shows. So also He who is redeemed from the den, is known and Seen!)

10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." (This is the Proof that The Lord has Indeed Ransomed you and Anyone who does not Live This Way, Is Not Yet Ransomed, Therefore, They Have Not Eternal Life!

When you have Enternal Life, you Will Know, For You can even breathe it in through your nostrils and you also see that death is gone from you, Fear is gone, Exactly As it is Written!

AkinwaleJJ:
NO, you misconstrued the whole thing!

The commandments God asked Moses to give the Israelites must be observed publicly by all the people, what you're citing is when Jesus taught his followers about the sin of "omitting"
There are two forms of sins, "committing" and "omitting"

Committing is when you did something that is wrong according to the written laws of God, in this instance witnesses can come up to testify against you that they saw you commit so and so offense.
But omitting is between you and God, because this doesn't require any witnesses. It involves what you supposed to do when you're capable of doing it but you deliberately ignore since it's not written anywhere that you must do it and there is no human watching you. Luke 10:31-32

Now most people will publicly display affection and kindness for their neighbours in the presence of onlookers, it's not written anywhere that they must do this and since no one knows their capability nobody can question them for ignoring the needy, but they'll do it to be seen by observers so as to receive praise. That's what Jesus was talking about! Matt 6:1-2

But when it comes to the duty Jesus assigned to his followers, this couldn't go unnoticed! Act 11:26; 1Tim 4:15
Oh men I did not expect this to go this far, we could do this another day another time and I disagree with about 30% of what you said up there but I am very distracted with work now so I'll take an adjournment.

I have found that Righteousness puts you on the path and way of Eternal Life Proverbs 13:6, Proverbs 11:18; Matthew 7:13 and 14

But by the Authority of Matthew 7:24 and John 6:63 Life is Found in the True Keeping of the Words of the Lord both in spirit, in Truth and in Fact.

"the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life"

They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
- 1 John 2:19

Are you sure that he is misleading anyone? If this part of the scripture isn't the word of God, then he is misleading people.

They went out from us [seeming at first to be Christians], but they were not really of us [because they were not truly born again and spiritually transformed]; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they left us, so that it would be clearly shown that none of them are of us.

- 1 John 2:19
I understand your interpretation but then you have not averted your mind to the parable of the Seeds.

The Only Successful Seeds are those who have Found Life that is Only those who are planted on and in good soil.

All others will fall and must fall at one time or the other.

And this is just one side then we have the other matter of the Parable of the 10 Virgins!

You put too much emotion into it.
Yes, some find themselves in such a state because their prayers were never answered, or are emotional about something tragic happening to them, but I personally find such a reasons to be shallow.

To the rest it's more of like growing up, it's like being a child and believing the stories your parents tell you, about the Ojuju/monsters that will catch you when you misbehave, but you later figure out there is no such thing, while you can still understand why they made you think such a thing so as to keep you on good behavior, you can not go on living your life thinking such things are factually true or real.

And a person does not simply choose to refuse to believe in something, you do not believe in Zeus or Osiris because you understand they are false and there is no sufficient evidence to prove to their existence or to them them being true gods to convince you to believe in them and even if I were to point a gun at you and tell you to believe in those gods you will never, you could lie to save your life, but will you never inside of you believe in something as unsubstantiated as that, but from point of view of the believers of those gods you are the insane one for not believing in their gods, despite the abundance of what they would seem to think is credible evidence.
Ah! Interesting perspective but by every standard of Credible Evidence Given in Proof of a Fact, The Proof of God Satisfies it whether Real Evidence eg Egypt and Isreal is there for all to see and they have never denied the fact of their roles in the Bible at the Material Time or Oral Evidence or Documentary Evidence.

But in all of these strivings, these struggles itself proves one part of the equation which is that we are creations like iPhone and Camry and we are in our cardboard boxes and containers (the world) and neither did anyone of us create ourselves and as we have seen that it is A Law that every creation like us has and must have a Creator, even though the creation may not know it's Creator like the iPhone and Camry can Never know if you are the one who created it.

And herein lies the difference, I love Life and I love Living and I am enjoying everyday of Living and I want more of it because I have found Who Owns and Gives All these Great Great Good Things that I have got and will get.

Ah! And you are very wrong here! I see how they die with great fear when a plane is attacked with turbulence or when their drivers drive dangerously or how an Okada nearly knocked them down.

Oh, I see them die so many times a day.

Why are they afraid of dying if they are simply going to nothingness as you say?

I tell you the answer it is because their soul is warning them that their dying is not good but a horrible horrible thing that if they had good sense or wisdom, they would know that they do not want it.

alhaji dipped his hand into the water and asked said a fake prayer and pretended to give him back his destiny.

but I was confused, how can someone use your destiny to make money, can somebody's luck be used to make money?

to not act on their natural same sex desires.

why??

or is it the devil that creates homosexual people?

religion is one of the principal reasons people hate homosexuals today.
In Africa, Natural Law still Rules and thus we know that every urge can be silenced whether stealing, lying or sexual preference, they are all urges.

Even where it is allowed that a man should be with a woman, it is abhored when a boy seeks to acquire a girl.

If boy to girl is abhored, how then shall man to man or woman to woman be allowed?

In Africa we still do not tolerate thieves, liars, peadophilers, unruly persons, homosexuals etc. and neither would you tolerate it unless you were one of these things.

As we have seen it always a thief that shall request that tolerance be given to a thief, even where we see that he too does not also want stealing Permited but because he knows that the judgment on the thief, shall be his judgment, he therefore asks for a perversion of the Natural Judgement.

Rom.3
[24] they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus,
[28] For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law.
Rom.5
[9] Since, therefore, we are now justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

Jesus says:
Matt.12
[37] for by your words or work you will be justified, and by your words or works you will be condemned.

Those biblical verses above are direct words from both jesus christ and Paul in new testament, which seem to be contradicting. Who should will obey here now, jesus or Paul?
One pronouncement is coming from the Judge Himself, giving you hints on some considerations of Judgement.

Paul is simply explaining that to walk in the way of the Lord is the beginning of the walk towards being saved.

This is where the Divide is, for some teach the error that because The Christ died, they are saved which is wrong because unless the Forgiver has Expressly told you that you are forgiven, you may presume wrongfully.

But if you are told that you are forgiven by the Forgiver, then like the woman in Luke 7, then there is no room for enquiry.

Not like you can afford it, anyway.
But it is not a bad info. Christianity Etc › Re: Why Were The 5 Unwise Virgins Left Behind? by Dtruthspeaker: 4:04pm On Sep 21, 2020
OpenYourEyes1:
Why were the five foolish Virgins left behind?

Because they soiled their wedding garments and were unprepared. They didn't have enough of those things (like the Word of GOD) that will keep their light shinning incase JESUS didn't come when they expect. JESUS gives the light, and the light helps us to see in this world of darkness. You live in darkness if you lose the light.
If you have the light, you will live in holiness/righteousness, you'll know the truth and can see while the blind world can't.

So, they were unprepared, and their lights went out at the wrong time(when JESUS came back). Lacking in that Light means you live in the dark... They live in darkness when the light went out. Those who live in darkness will definitely soil their white garments, or better still, they will live in sin and become unrighteous, because they can't see.
They were rejected because they soil their white garments. They should have been fully prepared and living in constant holiness and righteousness in other to be worthy of Rapture.

Make sure to be fully prepared and living in constant holiness because our LORD can come when we least expect.
Respectfully, this is kind of wrong for they did truly prepare for the bridegroom only that they did not know that the wait could be long neither did you yourself Know that it would take long when the story was told.

Further, when they ran out, they did what they diligently must do and you yourself did not disagree with their conduct.

Therefore the True Lesson of this parable is about obtaining the Life in Christ.

For when you have Truly Obtained it, No matter how long our Lord tarried in coming, you will never tire from waiting for Him.

The Parable of the Virgins is about these days and those who are not Truly Secured in Christ, will run out and must run out.

This also covers the concept of rapture.

The whole idea of Christianity is all about how Christians are to be identifiable by the grace of God upon them, their relationship with the Holyspirit and living in victory over enemies and challenges through faith in Christ.

I have been a Christian but this was not my reality. Which made me question the bible.

Recently a christian pastor murdered his own wife just like an unbeliever could. Which makes me question, is there even any difference between a Christian and others?
A Christian is different from others because He Does Only Rightness or Righteousness, which is a very very scarce Character.

Thus many claim that they are Christians but they do not do Rightness or Righteousness and therefore they lie and are not Christians.

It is the same.

The simplest test is to reverse and redirect the judgment upon the person who gives that Judgment.

See, what happens when the judgment he gave is about to be applied to him, see whether he would want it applied.

If the Judgment was Right, he would want it applied. When it is wrong, he rejects it.

And if he rejects his own judgment, then his Judgment is not true and cannot be relied upon.

As many as strong as a lion, does it mean that I would have the exact strength of a lion?

As tall as a tree, does it mean that I and the tree will be of the same height.

You have need to understand the concept of similes or imageries?

A man who does have a child knows that his line and lineage is terminated upon his death and he shall be remembered no more.

So when that man is told "Don't worry, No One will stop calling your name for you shall always have children and your line will never end" when he had a child, and the child had 2 and the 2 had many, will that man not be happy?

Now, when those children are so much that they are a country unto themselves, in their Father's Name is the Promise not fulfilled?

Further, what you also do not know (which I am not going to proceed any further) is that any one who like Ruth, takes up the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and has cleansed himself, is now a son of Abraham, hence the song "Abraham's Blessings are mine".

Same reason why Christ said "who are my brethren (brothers)?"

So count now, how many serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? And How many follow Christ and have been following Him?

Are we many enough for you to consider that we are many as simile of the stars?
