If God mean well for Nigeria, now is the time he answer the prayer of Nigerians
Give us Obi
Take back bat It's a northern thing. The people who spoke to Tambuwal are speaking with Kwankwaso. Unfortunately for them Atiku can't win. Rather, Tinubu will win. Obi, is the only popular christian candidate and will be the first choice of the south. However, he's not the "establishment's candidate" so a lot of politicians may not want him. He's not someone to continue mindless looting. You know that's where all these politicians get their power from. Another thing the north don't know is that Tinubu is very tough. They will get it hot from him, of they do anyhow. One thing is sure Okowa or not, Power is coming south. Atiku, don't have the chance in the SW, SS and SE as before. If the north like they can keep playing games. They are making their intentions too obvious. |

Politics › Re: Why The Merger Logic Favours Obi With Kwankwaso As Vice by duality(m): 2:34pm On Jun 19, 2022 |
AlexBells: When it comes to politics, the spirit of sportsmanship, respect and humility is very crucial, I would say that whether Obi becomes the vice or presidential candidate, my respect for his choices is supreme. In spite of the call for mature politics, I think the logic favours Obi for the following reasons.
1. The only Christian Presidential Candidate: In a country where religion plays very crucial role, it would be crazy to field all muslim candidates, it may seem like the Christians are being gagged.
2. The only Igbo candidate: The Hausa Fulani already have Atiku Abubakar, Kwankwaso coming in the presidency while being appreciated is going to rely on the sharing of the Hausa/Fulani votes. The North West having been president, fairness demands that South East be on the ballot, Atiku's Northeast also haven't been president.
3. Two Igbo vice: Whether Ifeanyi Okowa is South East or not does not change the fact that he is Igbo, so if Igbos are going to chose one of our son over the other then we have to be given enough reason why that should happen, otherwise Obi's vice presidency would have have him sharing votes with Ifeanyi Okowa unless however there is a bigger picture.
4. Obi had been Vice earlier and had better chance of being vice again: If Obi was thirsty for vice, why would he jettison his former boss Atiku Abubakar to be vice to Kwankwaso, well, it about political choices but Obi having been vice had another choice to be vice to Atiku while Kwankwaso on the other hand can't be vice to Atiku and Tinubu is still battling with Muslim/Muslim ticket even in myriad of Northern Stalwart options.
5. Increasing Tinubu's Chance: We must not underplay the impact of the rulling party, with Obi out of the picture means that the APC can use Southern sentiments to gain votes being that Tinubu would be the only Southern candidate, then he can go ahead and field Muslim Muslim ticket knowing there would be no Southern block votes for both APC and PDP.
I wish Obi becomes the Presidential candidate You're actually right. |

Politics › Re: Did Peter Obi Betray Atiku? by duality(m): 5:09pm On Jun 16, 2022 |
TooNoisy: We are in the political season again and there has been lots of conversations about betrayals. However, one Interesting betrayal that I see is between Atiku and Peter Obi.
First of all, Peter Obi betrayed Ojukwu. Obi was little known before Ojukwu offered him the platform of APGA to run on. The moment Obi finished his 8 years, he ported to PDP less than one year later. Ojukwu's son publicly accused Obi of betrayal.
Obi then gets to PDP and is very fortunate that Atiku picks him as running mate in 2019. There were 3 PDP governors at the time and they were first time governors who were focused on 2nd term. So Peter Obi was chosen. Peter Obi suddenly moved from Anambra boy to national name.
Then 2022, Peter Obi decides to run against Atiku. In fareness, he knew he couldn't win but wanted to get Atiku's attention for VP. But when it was obvious no governor was with him and he was going to be disgraced, he ported to Labour Party.
In fareness, he Hs never publicly attacked Atiku. Infact, he openly congratulated Atiku when Atiku got the ticket, and even called Atiku his leader and his elder brother. Atiku has not congratulated him though.
To me, Peter Obi has betrayed Atiku just like he betrayed Ojukwu. And now, all he is doing now is to cannibalise Atiku's votes in the South East. He is just being a spoiler. You need deliverance. |

udo2022: The worst mistake both the APC and PDP could make right now is to assume that the silent revolution which has started with the present desperation by young Nigerians who are old enough to register to vote is an empty threat.
Age is one reason Peter Obi of Labour Party seems to hold more appeal to that demography than the candidates of the major parties who are all above 70 years old. To counter the challenge to their electoral dominance, they must urgently devise means to woo these young voters and earn their trust. For starters, the APC and PDP flag-bearers MUST select and run with much younger running mates if they wish to attempt to appeal to these new voters.
Age as a demography will play a bigger role in the 2023 presidential elections and is likely to become the determining factor or tiebreaker, much more than geopolitical zones or religion even.
I got a wake up call in this regard from an unusual quarter advising that we do the needful in the APC to reverse that trend.
Finally, if you are one of those caught in the false presumption that Labour Party has no structure, you will be shocked by what the Nigerian worker who party it is in principle can get up to. Especially the striking lecturers, and poorly paid teachers in both Private and Secondary Schools.
Everyone should just shine their eyes and tell themselves the truth. You cannot play politics the old ways and not expect to collide with this new juggernaut. Do you want APC and PDP in power? We want to remove them and you are giving them advice. Of what use. So that we won't remove them again? Abeg dey your lane! |

immortalcrown: Work on your mentality.
You are not making any sense at all. There has always been a war between Igbo people and Hausa. But Igbo people supported Atiku in 2019 not minding what has been going on between Igbo and Hausa. They supported Atiku because they know Bubu is the worst candidate. Even before Obi declared interest, Igbo people were considering Osinbajo or Atiku not minding how you use IPOB to insult Igbo people. Just say you are looking for something to lay hand on and turn against Obi.
Are you supporting Obi because of the Igbo people you are referring to? Or, are you supporting Obi because of who he is and because you believe he is better than Tinubu?
Are you supporting Obi just to favour Igbo people or because you believe his leadership will affect the well-being of the entire Nigeria?
You sound as if your choice to support Obi is only in the interest of Igbo people and not for the entire Nigeria. That is why you want to turn against him because of your feeling about some Igbo people.
Do those Igbo people you refer to hate Tinubu because of you or because of Tinubu's personality? This response is not necessary. He told you the truth. If you like take it. IGBOS in particular have to stop anything that makes this campaign an Igbo thing. People are willing to help this course, if it's not derailed. Subs on Other ethnic group have to stop. Even if they do. Don't make other ethnic group rally round another aspirant because of perception. Don't overdo or over estimate the Obi movement, just keep working in love to win others and it will work out. Anything other than that will put Obi campaign on the back foot. Take the advice, no need to debate it. A word is enough for the wise. |

Niorte: Ha pastor....
Peter Obi has told us many times that he was doing that to SAVE cost, nothing like humility.
With all due respect, Peter Obi is stingy based on what I have read about him. He is not ready to give anybody anything in the name of saving cost.
While it is very good to save cost, there are some positions you get to, you will leave smaller work or assignments to FOCUS on something BIG.
I won't be surprised to see Peter Obi driving himself if he manages to become a president. He will say he is saving cost, mean while, he is supposed to be driven so he can use that time to rest, plan or even engage in other productive activities.
I see Peter Obi as a man who does not know how to delegate duties to subordinates and would rather do it by himself.
That is not a sign of a good administrator and never a sign of humility.
Peter Obi is majoring on MINOR, and minoring on the MAJOR.
A leader should not be pennywise and pounds foolish.
Because you don't want to give out 200, you carry your load yourself and get tired for real work....it is well o. People like you are so ignorant. the bad thing is that simpletons will believe you. This same Peter Obi have been visiting schools and hospitals across the country doing his quiet philanthropy. The other time he visited a school in sokoto state. it was Gov Tambuwal who gave him the security and vehicle to visit the border town for this course. He spends the millions on the needy. It's not looted funds for him to throw around. He has to limit frivolous spending to be able to do that much. Look, only ill gotten is thrown around. The money that didn't come free or through illicit means, is spent with wisdom. |

Now Buhari knows too well that asides Tinubu nobody can defeat Atiku in the presidential election, he even escaped by a low margin during the last election. Whiteangel1234: Tinubu or Osibanjo will clearly clinch the ticket of APC , they have more serious politicians in APC .
I think it's time for them to build bridges and not to mock the igbos. An Igbo Is independent thinker and have no ethnic regional figure as leader unlike in the south west or North , Even today the issue of sit at home where Governor's are not even in control of their state but the Youths , so in times like this we have no regional leader to push our interest in both PDP and APC , but the pulse of an average Igbo person at this time is that Power should come to the South East for true national healing this is the word on the street and feelings but we may not have political leaders we trust to push our interest .
Hopefully , there will be a trusted , corrupt Free and Selfless leader in the future to fill this vacuum . Let the Mockery be against the Political Leaders in Igboland , an average Igbo person is hard workers , and independent man or woman who thrive to succeed against all odds , The South West have always have a political Figure from Awolowo , to Abiola to Tinubu , it's been 50 years since the Igbo since last have a political regional Head in the person of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ojukwu the warlord
We distrust our politicians and this lack of any unifying political leader is the reason people like Uwazuruike , Nnamdi Kanu , Simon Ekpa etc can easily come out and get large followers. The Blame is at the door of Igbo politicians not the people . We do not trust easily and you must be Selfless , honest and truthful to be able to lead the Igbo people , this is a direct opposite of a politician attributes You are too emotional... that's your major challenge. You're so predictable. thats the issue with Igbo people |

APC stands a better chance of winning 2023 election with Tinubu but any health challenge between now and feb 2023 could easily change the narrative. In nutshell, I think by next week Tuesday, Atiku is going to know if he’s going to be president or not. Why are you so optimistic that Tinubu will win if he gets the ticket.
