Gentle soul: @Dubem3 thank you but both numbers are not working. There isn't much I can do if they aint working but they should be. |
FreeGlobe: care to explain what you mean? Please Disregard. |

I was raised to stand up tall and stare challenges blank in the eye. Asking not to hold a conference cos we have discovered comfortability in hanging askew is hardly a good reason to oppose the SNC. When things are bad and you wanna make them better, people will suffer first cos they have to be exorcised of the comfortability they have found in the wrong things. Its after this exorcism that things can ever get better. |
Anyi ga e'mechanize agriculture.... For three key agricultural products, Rice, beans, #clears throat, excuse me... (he already knew the third one wasn't in his head at this point in time, why did he go ahead? Was he hopinging for some miracle?) I have never been one to create an opinion of people from face value and I just have one interest in Anambra politics which is that the best man may emerge. I have no party affiliations. But the fact that willie is not a politician, was pushed into it and lacks the requisite enthusiasm bothers me. Because just as he is unable to distinguish between trivial issues, when he becomes a governor, he'll just be a push around zombie unable to tell left from right. Sincerely, that's not the kind of person my people need at this stage. We have wonderful positions for people like him, positions where he would be able to contribute just as much or rather a lot more (that's assuming the fire of patriotism is burning so hot within him that he'll rather die than not participate in government). FreeGlobe, Do not place party politics above patriotism that's assuming ur even from Anambra. And make you know say eye de see you for this forum as u dey de scatter ground :/ |
eye4eye: I think you're looking for greencard to stay in SW incase Nigeria breaks. Now, that's from a tribal mind. |
Happy Birthday, Mr Jay!!! May you count the years till your jaws ache. |
idupaul: The soldier has overstepped .. He should have handed over the guy to the appropriate authorities so the Lagos traffic edict can be applied.. What I see here I just plain intimidation meaning if the guy does not obey him he would shoot the guy for crossing a road and this clearly goes against why the law was put in place. The law was put in place to protect the guys life and as such the penalty of breaking such a law can't be a punishment that is a probable threat to lifeSo this is why you never bother to use a pedestrian bridge? An equal an opposite force is the exact treatment needed to quell this thing. |
How exactly did he order their attack? |
NRI PRIEST: He didn't have a voters Id. He admitted it and stepped aside, like a gentleman. For real? Now that's hard to take in. Sounds real Fishy. |
While am not a keen supporter of Dr Ubah ( as he is fondly known), I think its an Irony that you would choose Obiano over him. Lettered in all the meanings of the word and more, experienced and travelled, yet with the combinations of all these, he managed not to be able to flaw the likes of Ubah in a debate. Going by the out come of these recent events I can say that you who have been privileged to go to school when not a lot of your peers could afford to, have failed to employ this privilege to good use. You have failed to rise above pettiness. I don't care if Ubah can speak English with well tailored tenses, what I care about is a man honest and patrotic enough to lead my people successfully through the next four years Not only does it stink to be a stooge but its even more repugnant that he can not raise a sufficient cover in speech without being spoon fed and craddled. What you, my friend should concern yourself with is the capabilities of a man and not his prowess and dexterity in delivering accurate speech with another man's language. |
@chino there are not so many ways to know when someone has been paid to do a job of the sort you presently appear to be doing, but a blind followership such as you're displaying here is a sure give away. Its good to help these politicians spend their money oh, but apply wisdom in whatever you are doing. Some times feign surprise or Ignorance just to keep ur cover intact. There is no way you can have an explanation to every action of Obiano. Even Obiano owned up to not being informed enough to dabble into 'immunity'. In the case that you're not being paid to do this, then you're politically blind and need to review your strategy. #No offence, just being straight. |
What beats me is the tact with which we always find diversion from the issue at hand. Always channelling towards a political, religious, ethnic undertone. We end up not knowing what exactly our problem is. We have a very potent wand with which we turn good to bad and bad to good. |
For some time now, I've been having these thoughts breeze in and out of my head even when am fully occupied with the day's business, so today, I've decided to throw open these thoughts so that together we can either relish the taste of our folly or boo the malignant spirits that seem to have us under some 'you get sense but your brain no go work' spell... First among these is the issue of ASUU STRIKE: Having duly examined the cause of this stand down, the long and short of the whole story is. a) upgrade the standard of our higher institutions and the quality of education derivable therein. b) pay us the outstandings that you owe us. Am not about to dabble into the strike itself rather my are of interest is; I)STUDENTS: Let it be known that I feel your pains and I know your anguish. ASUU from the look of things is fighting on behalf of students. The quality of students produced is of such importance to them that they have put themselves in the line of fire, fighting for something for which they are not the utmost beneficiaries. Why have the students instead of joining forces with them decided to turn against them? Is it about the years in school or the resultant effect of those years? Why would we rather travel abroad in search of education and turn our backs now that we can actually have at home what we seek abroad? II)GOVERNMENT: The word government seem to be so overwhelming that we can not fathom its actual meaning. How did government become bigger than the people? I do not want to go on mentioning the mundane tasks where we've expended money just for the mere thought of it popping up in someone's mind. We call billions and spend them so much and at frivolities so much so that the true value of these monies are erased in the mind of the common man. Why then is it so difficult to invest these monies on Education, the sure future and only way to go for any people? Why do we neglect the meaningful things and shower such attention on inanities? Why does it all have to be about Politics? III) ASUU: people are known to become very dedicated and astute as soon as the talk about anything gets to gains. Majority of us here passed through the University and we all know you this so called ASUU, we can place faces to your names and can testify to the manner with which you discharge your duties. a lot of you no doubt are into all this for the gains of it. Majority really do not care what becomes of the students as long as your hollow pockets are well serviced. But for the expectations and the beam of light that would fall on you if these demands are met, I think they should be met. Our schools should be purged of you half educated, self proclaimed tutors in the business of ripping students and parents off and replaced with charismatic and well groomed teachers in the business not for the gains but the joys of it. Secondly and probably the last (this post is getting too long) is the Issue of Stella and the two bullet proof BMW I have this to say; let every corrupt officer irrespective of political or ethnic affiliation pay for his or her sins. If we as a people are even remotely serious about fighting corruption, we could be quiet about the looters that are yet to be discovered but letting the culpable ones walk on such flimsy excuses as ethnic affiliation is a self destruct button. I have not said that Stella is guilty, but she should be tried fairly and made to face the music if found wanting. It is time we looked beyond immediate gains and focused on a bigger picture. Internationalization of an airport is the reason she is being followed around by detractors? What would they have done had this not come up? Killed themselves?(We would like that) The only avenue for us (the masses) to fight our detractors(corrupt office holders) is by praying for them to fall out with each other and once that happens, NO COW should be too holy to be slaughtered. |
DerideGull: During the course of this debate, a debater had indicated that the ministry of aviation had about 94 billion naira allocated to it in 2013 budget and about 4.5 billion naira is set aside for fleet maintenance. If I had to judge from the above facts, the word-“maintenance” is not limited to repairs. Where is the corruption or fraudulent practice in addition of two BMW cars to ministry of aviation’s fleet?By the time this issue is brought before a panel, all these rough edges and clauses will be smoothened out and interpreted. It is then and only then we can assert that she is guilty. But if she is, by God let her pay. Each one of us pays too, in our businesses or jobs irrespective of tribal affiliations or are they gods up there? She is just a suspect for now though. |
I've always been up of the opinion that 'the one who keeps his hands straight, will have his enemies running confused when they plan to pull him down'. If Stella has carelessly played into the hands of her so called 'detractors' then I'm sorry she has to pay for it irrespective of the reason why they are after her. Painfully enough, its the only way to rid our society of filth since every other method has failed. Let the Igbos be on the lookout too and release incriminating information about other tribes, we may cure our selves with our stupid tribalism afterall. Am sorry I don't know how to play the politics of ethnicity. He who comes to equity, must come with both hands sparkling clean. |
You mean shade can run? |
texanomaly: Yes...where are you Mynd? |
texanomaly: I knew it! ![]() Hi |
texanomaly: Hmmmmmm? ![]() |
Hmmmmm! |
Mynd, Wetin Emeka do you? I actually think you're venting anger on this Emeka who represents somebody in your real life. Oya, abeg sorry for am. Let him be 'courage the cowardly dog' and still save the day...Nice job ur doing |
You guys seem not to have gotten it... Let them probe Amaechi, if he is found guilty of anything, let him do time just like Ibori. These politicians are just like a gang of robbers, no matter how good he aPpears right now being that he is fighting the presidency who in turn appears to be oppressing him...the only way he will be seen as truly on the the side of the masses and a defender of democracy is when he is found clean after the probe or when he can successfully defend all allegations brought against him. These fallouts amoung the political class is the only window the masses have to pull them down. Cos the aftermath of every unsuccessfully settled political tussle is; the fall of a bad politician More wisdom to the masses A plus to democracy A lesson to intending theives Etcetera Etcetera Etcetera |
Odenigbo Aroli: Guy,"mango" isn't "pawpaw". Mango is a foreign fruit and the Igbo has no native name for it. Same goes for pawpaw which is a corruption of papaya.I really disagree with you. How could you say that cos a particular fruit was not originally cultivated by our people, then we can have no name for it? That's so so wrong. In as much as I don't know what Mango is called, I think Paw paw - okwulu oyibo Abeg go and ask your village elders then revert to us with your answers. |

FreeGlobe: can you state what Peter obi has done in Agulu and shame the igwe. counter the igwe with facts.Peter governs Anambra and not Agulu. Am not on anybody's side just stating facts. Agulu should not be a yardstick for measuring peter's performance infact if anything it is an indicator that he is sincere and does not do things for personnal gains. That mighty Erosion site in Agulu was fixed by Peter (on your way from mbaukwu- I stand to be corrected) The road connecting enugwu-ukwu,agu-ukwu and agulu was built by peter obi. THAT NO BE SOMETHING? Meanwhile peter obi I still don't know what to make of you just yet till your result comes out after the tenure. |

Happy birthday, man. Wishing a lot more years to come and all the joys attached. |
I wish all other countries would give us these stringent conditions. why do we have to treat ourselves so bad in the name of being rich, having fun, or showing off. We just have to be pushed to the wall in order for our brains to reset. We have all we could ever ask for and even more in order to be in the hall of fame but we are so stupid we need to be spoon fed. See small Botswana, Kenya, Ghana and the likes of them feeding us sand three times daily and we seem to be content with it. We never talk their own finish na Britain we wan go meet. Ok lets look at it in another light. The illegal influx of our people into that country and the nuisance we constitute, isn't it enough justification for this action? even some Nigerian governors can't stand their brothers and they've resorted to deportation. If this happens within a country, how much more foreigners. In my opinion they were even considerate. |
imperiouxx: Were you among those who pushed it? How did you know the vehicle was full of policemen whereas the main news says the number is yet to be confirmed.Thank you jare! as if say na beans to push armoured vehicle comot bridge like that. |
