Remember, The field was wet, there is economic recession, The sun did not rise, prices of Garri have gone up, Dennis Bergkamp who should have scored retired, Steve Bould's decision to retire caused it, Steve Bould woulda been better in defence, Arsene Wenger did not take his bath yada yada yada

Chelski missed Ballack, Lampard, Drogba, Deco and others and went 4-0
abeg go siddon joo, wasn't Chelse beaten 3-1 by Wigan with all those guys playing? where yur own team dey for Bundesliga? we lost today but yu can't read too much into this result.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Sunderland vs Arsenal [1-0] on Saturday 21st November by duduspace(m): 6:02pm On Nov 21, 2009
Bad day at the office, the team is better than this.Too many changes to the team at the same time ( 2 in attack, 1 in MF and 1 in defence), international break hangover (Arsene shld have followed his heart and rested Sagna and Gallas) and all those who laugh at Diaby can see now that he does bring something to the table. I must say however that Sunderland are stronger than I thought they were even though they didn't outplay us (actually, no one does that) probably deserved their win. I know Arsenal haters will try to make too much of this result but remember it was much worse for Chelsea getting beaten 3-1 by Wigan. The team will bounce back, it is yet another step in the learning process.

I also don't see yu winning it next year until some of yur budding stars come of age again as did CR7 and Rooney.

I just read the now infamous placenta treatment has healed 4 liverpool players(benayoun, johnson, aurelio & riera) a month ahead of schedule!!!
dont be surprised if RVP is fit for tomorows game! grin grin
UNBELIEVABLE, I just read it myself, RVP might actually be back in 2 weeks. This is a cure that should make T.B Joshua envious. Here are the quotes from Rafa.
Benitez said: "We knew of other players at Premier League clubs who have been to Belgrade for treatment with this lady, and we were made aware that it was very effective. [Manchester City's] Pablo Zabaleta told Riera about it.

"She has been working for seven years with top-class sportsmen, not just footballers. So she has the experience.

"We felt it was a good opportunity to send some of our players. We sent two, Benayoun and Riera and they came back and started training straight away. So we decided to send two more, Johnson and Aurelio, and the same thing has happened. They have been training and all four will be in the squad against City.

"Arsenal's Robin van Persie went earlier, but now there are several more top players who are going to have treatment in the same way. City have sent two, (Vincent) Kompany and Zabaleta beforehand, and they were playing within days.

"There have been no injections, it is a placenta cream applied with a (massage) machine that creates waves of pressure."

He added: "We sent our players, and Van Persie was there. Kompany and Zabaleta have also been there, and we have been made aware of the success of this treatment over several years.

"Many top players have been going there for seven years, it has been successful and I believe it is safe.

"It is good for specific injuries, doctors have explained the treatment and the components of the cream that is used. We are happy with it.
Both Riera and Benayoun were rulled out for 4 weeks, now they are back in less than 2.  shocked shocked shocked

Good job v3nom.

I have no fear at all about this match, cos the major threat who could give us problems (Kenwyne Jones) is out of this one, our defence have no problems playing against a striker better known for movement and pace like Bent but a physical player like Jones is a totally different proposition however (yu can ask Vidic and VDS). Bent gets all the press due to his goals but doesn't have much impact as a lone striker. The other players who could be problematic in MF are Malbranque(of the old enemy spurs), Richardson and Andy Reid of Ireland(who I respect so much).

I think we will line up this way depending on injuries:

                      Almunia

      Sagna - Gallas - TV5 - Traore

           Cesc - Song - Ramsey/Merida

Rosicky/Eboue - Eduardo - Arshavin/Vela

Sunderland will see Traore as the weak link in our defence and try to exploit that route while packing the MF, the team might take some time to settle with the new players but if it remains goaless up to the 20th minute, then we will take this one easy.
2-0

Has the whole world suddenly gone mad? what is all this noise about TH14 and what does this have to do with The Arsenal?

I've been told TH14 touched the ball to control it and maybe that is true cos all I see is slow motion showing the ball touching his hand, I never see it when that event is played in normal time but does reality happen in slow motion? and are people that naive to believe that we live in a perfect world?

abeg make the Irish go chop chill pill joo, can they in all honesty claim to have never benefited from a dodgy referee decision? TH14 had a goal wrongly disallowed for handball in a Champions league match in the 06/07 season and he didn't go all Count Drogbula on anyone cos of that, maybe this is karma's restitution (I don't think karma acts only in the negative if it exists at all).

What you don't know can't get yu angry and it is the football authorities' fault not making use of video technology to aid officiating, or in the not advised alternative, putting a gag on the televised replay of such contentious issues which whip up this mob judgement we are presently witnessing as we did with the Eduardo incident. Besides, even if video technology is used, isn't there something called ball to hand?

This is not the first neither will it be the last time such contentious events will happen in soccer until the authorities FIFA, UEFA et al decide on how Video technology can help in officiating the game rather than being used to encourage moaning and whining after the fact.

Kieran Gibbs injury update
After being assessed by the Arsenal medical staff, the Club can confirm that Kieran Gibbs has sustained severe bruising to the bones and soft tissue of his right foot. Thankfully the foot is not fractured and his enforced absence will be short term.
The duration is however not yet given.

Another good news is that Eduardo has also joined RVP in signing a new long term contract, hopefully Merida and Rosicky will soon sign theirs and we can get set for that era of domination.

Though you cant argue away the fact that saturday's match will generally be seen as an answer to one question: how does arsenal fare without van persie?
I'm not scared at all, the strength of Wengerball has never been to depend on any one individual and this is just a further step in the maturing of this team I only feel sorry for RVP himself rather than the club. Any striker should look good being flanked by Rosicky and Arshavin with Fabregas behind him. the only problem is team chemistry being distrupted.

More on the RVP treatment:
Van Persie is expected to fly out to Belgrade on Tuesday, with the backing of manager Arsene Wenger, to seek the services of Mariana Kovacevic - who has a reputation for drastically speeding up the recovery times of those she treats.

Lazovic, now of PSV, visited the housewife last month after suffering a hamstring injury that was expected to rule him out for five weeks. But after having the placenta fluid rubbed into the affected area, the Serbian striker returned to action after just one week out.
