what keane said is 95% true. All we need is a rooney or kaka or samuel et'o and we're guaranteed a top 4 finish.
Even with your poor knowledge of maths, you accept that he was being economical with the truth? anyway, saturday will soon be hear.

You miss, typical Arsenal outing with a lot of heart in the mouth moments. At the end of the day, our lads were just too good. My half day off work was not in vain. grin

I have never felt comfortable with Silvestre in our defence seems he is just here to collect some sort of pension. no hunger or drive at all.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Carling Cup: Arsenal V Liverpool [2 - 1] on Wed 28th October by duduspace(op): 8:42pm On Oct 28, 2009
It should be a good match, both clubs actually have very strong teams out and there should be a lot of goals in this match.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Carling Cup: Arsenal V Liverpool [2 - 1] on Wed 28th October by duduspace(op): 8:07pm On Oct 28, 2009
waoh, a great surprise but this is a massive vote of confidence, Arsene is playing Eastmond ahead of Coquelin in midfieldhuh

the starting line up is:

Fabianski
Gilbert
Silvestre
Senderos
Gibbs
Eastmond
Ramsey
Nasri
Bendtner
Merida
Eduardo

@Manmustwac

Was Robbie Keane wasted when he made this statement?

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2558/news/2009/10/28/1589126/tottenham-hotspur-as-good-as-arsenal-robbie-keane

He couldn't have been serious obviously.

I still don't understand why Vela is out of this, there is no report of him being injured anywhere. Barazite has opted to finally have his shoulder surgery done too, he was another one I was looking forward to see but he'll be out for about 8 weeks after a similar surgery like the two Theo had on his shoulder earlier.

With no one mentioning Merida, does that chap have a future at Emirates at all ?
He has slipped under the radar with his WYC trip but I think Arsene wants to keep him and TBH he would be a good one to keep if he can be patient as we've invested so much into him. Arsene has been talking up the guy and I would expect to see him in the team.

Here is what the team will look like IMO:

                   Fabianski

              Senderos - Silvestre

Gilbert                                     Gibbs

                   Nasri

Ramsey                                 Merida

  Watt                               VelaEduardo

                   Bendtner

Kerrea Gilbert is another one whose future is up in the air but he is the only other specialist RB we have after Sagna and Eboue. I think Coquelin might either sit this one out or come in as a sub, Arsene obviously believes he can use Nasri in the Song role and surprise, surprise Nasri also wants to play the role.

Why oh why did little Jack have to pick up a knock now? anyways we should still get to see Coquelin and Watt. This team is looking very strong with Bendtner, Dudu and Nasri starting and Fabianski in goal. I feel for 'Pool as we might witness a beat down tomorrow.

Thanks Slim,

The young guns are already mouthin up the match on the official site, Coquelin, Vela and Traore have already spoken and I expect those 3 to start tomorrow. I'm really lookin forward to this match and this term's Carling campaign cos if this boys get to the final again or win it, we can expect about another 3 or 4 of them to become full team members in 2-3 years time. Our conveyor belt of talents just keeps churning them out. grin
