We didn't deserve to win this game and we do need to learn how to get over the finish line, Birmingham almost handed this game to us but we still couldn't take it.
Congratulations Birmingham.

The pace of the game seems to have slowed down in MF, that should play into our hands. there are 2 34 year olds in there for Birmingham and the youngest MF player has now gone off.

I also think obagoal will cause problems for arsenals defense.
I actually think we're better equipped to cope with those kinda strikers, and its not likely they'll have as much control in MF.

This first half for sure belonged to Birmingham, we are lucky to still be in this game. Rosicky shldn't come out for the 2nd half please. Diaby or Bendtner in abeg.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Carling Cup Final: Arsenal Vs Birmingham City[1- 2] On February 2011 by duduspace(m): 5:42pm On Feb 27, 2011
Surely, this must be the end of Rosicky as an Arsenal starter, see wetin this small Wilsher boy do to drive the team forward.

Rosicky is playing absolute rubbish today, Nasri in the middle and Bendtner wide couldn't have been worse than this.

Birmingham having more of the ball! Cesc is a big loss in this fixture
Its the occasion getting to some of our players, Rosicky and Song are misbehaving in the middle and Arshavin has mostly been the Arshavin we've seen a lot of so far this season. For me, Rozza was always goin to be a weak link with what we've seen so far but I think Abou hasn't had much game time so couldn't be trusted for this game. We are riding our luck so far and these Birmingham boys are fighting hard.

You call it luck huh? Change Arsenal to Man U and it will turn to SAF this SAF that.
Not really, the linesman's flag went up before Szczesny tripped Bowyer and this wasn't a Ref's call.
It is either that Barrios guy has made a quantum leap in his game or the Bundesliga is just a very weak league cos he has been useless beyond belief in Paraguayan colors
He did miss a couple he could have scored but his touch made him always dangerous to the Munshit backline, the ball was never far from him no matter how it came to him near instantaneous mastery of the ball under considerable pressure back to goal. He might not have an adequate supporting cast while on national duty, he looked quite decent but then that is just in a single game.

DK has much on his plate right now, heard he's checked in for some counselling after today's debacle. The only thing that will bring him out of his malaise is if we lose tomorrow and the boys wouldn't dare give him that satisfaction. grin grin

Were they ever in it? the only race they were involved in was one to determine who would be the first to touch Van Gaal's balls. cheesy
Cesc's absence makes me wonder who would partner Song and Wilshere in our midfield its a shame that despite having players with Rosicky and Denilson's experience they cant be relied upon to the bidness in a match of this importance Walcott's absence would also gravely limit our bench as you cant rely on Bendtner and Chamakh for shyte these days!! Scarily enough he would most likely miss the Barca game too!
Those boys had better watch out for Martins and Zigic
Why are you worried? we've got Abou's legs?  grin grin
He did hold the fort well with Song and an emerging Wilshere while Cesc was injured early on in the season. As long as we don't have another Barton moment he'll be fine, he looked imperious earlier on in the newcastle match. Arsene might want to keep a semblance of width with Arshavin and Nasri still playing wide.
Which would you prefer? Bendtner in a wide position and Nasri dropping in for Cesc or a straight swap of Abou for Cesc?

What a vote of confidence for Jack from Arsene:

that na why dem no get class naa despite dem beautiful footie, the same thing they do to others, they don't like others doing to them. Like all those randy old papa wey dey lock dem daughters for house but dey go pack girls for university campus.  grin grin

see wetin Arsene talk:
He said. “You forget that this boy is English. He has an English passport, his mother is English, and hopefully he will join us in the summer.

“We have done what is legal. I love Barcelona, I love Catalonia. I have nothing against them. But when a player who is half-English and half-Spanish wants to join us, why should we turn him down if it's all legal? If we have done something illegal, I will say ‘sorry, my boy, we cannot do it'. But plenty of players leave us under exactly the same rule.”

v3:
See as Barsa dey make noise over this Toral issue as if them hands dey clean. No be dem dey romance Fabregas last season? Rubbish!
What they've all failed to ask themselves is why all these exceptional youngsters (OX and now Toral) want to go to Arsenal? the answer is simply that Arsene places his integrity on the line when he goes for them and gives their parents certain assurances and he usually keeps his promise except when the player is simply not good enough, within the past 5 years, he can easily point to Cesc, Ramsey, Wilshere, Song, Theo and even Bendtner as top notch talent that have come through prior to their 18th birthday and been given a chance with us. Those who have not made it also haven't been abandoned, you know yu're doing something right when a so called Arsenal reject becomes a first teamer with Athletico Madrid in his first season and actually has nothing bad to say about the club that didn't keep him because they let him go free and didn't even demand the compensation they were entitled to rather than block his progress.

The plan for Toral is that he will get first team appearances in the Carling cup by the time he is 18 if he lives up to his talent. The thing pain Barca no be small, in his age group he is easily one of their top 2 along with a guy called Samper thats why they are so bitter. We did it to PSV too when we got Ozyakup but they never thought we could do it to the great Barca. The fact that Toral has an English mother must have helped a lot anyway, I think his mother wanted him to play for England.

After a night out and a drunken unprotected shagg in a pitiable emotional state which I have since resolved not to ever be in again, had some rashes a few months later and being a bit of an hypochondriac I was 99.99% sure I had finally commited suicide of some sorts, I couldn't help heaving a sigh of relief when I was told my results, the nurse/receptionist who gave me the result also sighed with me and I immediately forgot all about the fear of the past 2 weeks.
They did ensure I underwent a full sex health check with a couple of nurses palpating my unmentionables, but I brought it all on myself.
