Most of your points are noted and acknowledged, you do accuse me of some things I don't do (pertaining to your points on Diaby and Theo) but that is a topic for another day.

As to what you say about our defensive frailties and sundry issues, I don't want to launch into another tirade, I'll only stress that we were all praising this team for the mental strength they showed only a couple of weeks back at places like Stoke and Hull, while this doesn't excuse the off colour performances in recent weeks it does explain them. It is never only one single reason that leads to a club's inability to achieve their goals and this is what is difficult for most people to wrap their heads around, its much easier swallowing the media's garbage than working things out by oneself.

The bottomline reason we ultimately failed this season was because we didn't have a strong enough squad for the level at which we were competing and that in turn boils down to the cash available. It is all fine and dandy to rightly or wrongly criticise the team for some of the reasons you post up there, but I can assure you that there are instances when the two teams above us have had similar hiccups, only that they've had the strength in depth to deal with it which we don't (at present) but which our youth policy (IMO) is guaranteed to deliver to us in the future with minimal financial layout relative to how the big spenders achieved such quality in their club.
I take what we're going through now as birthing pains and I'm glad we've had a manager of Arsene's quality and expertise to lead us through these trying times.

Yes, the other big teams will spend and improve their squads but any right thinking person could and should wonder how long Abramovic will continue to shell out while running the business (and football is a business whether people accept it or not) at a loss year on year or for how long Manure can have that 700m as debt on their books (all it took to drag Portsmouth into the mire was 138m and the big club can't go bust mantra has been punctured recently by Liverpool who are now struggling with a debt just under 250m with no one indicating huge interest to buy such a popular club with a big european history which is carrying less than half the debt manure is carrying). There are interesting times ahead and we will all see.

There is a document by an Arsenal share trust member that gives the best insight and analysis into the state of Arsenal's finances, I'll post it on here soon for anyone who cares to exercise their intellect, I'm sure most will be content with just repeating the "We've not won anything for ages" mantra.

It is also true that there are somethings we are doing wrong or in some instances simply incapacitated by our financial state, to be honest our trophylessness over 5 seasons is getting embarrasing but in the grand scheme of things we have done very well with what we've got. My beef with the doom and gloomers is that they refuse to see any positives in what Arsenal have achieved with Arsene at the helm.

I really pray we achieve success before we find out the hard way like Charlton did after they frustrated Curbishley their most successful manager out claiming he had taken them as far as he could go, only for them to go all the way down back to League 1 which was actually their true level. I've never on here mentioned that Manure isn't a great club, my position is that it is a great club that has followed the outgoing trend of running a club unsustainably just to win trophies at all costs and maintain its greatness, something it is bound to pay for in the future if it doesn't rein in its spending or get a sugar daddy to pay off its debts.
And yes, I will castigate Manure firstly because I don't associate with its ideals and it is not my club anyway, we are getting bored of that line about Spurs catching up with us, Spur's reserve team last season was worth the value of the Arsenal first team and yet they couldn't even make the Champion's league.
It was always Arsenal the media said would drop out of the top 4 but we all know who dropped out at the end of the day, I sincerely hope Manure doesn't do a liverpool next season, I can assure you that whatever happens next season, Arsenal will be thereabouts the top.

This at best, is clutching at straws.[/quote]Funny that you mention this, the reserve league matches are few and far in between so on those weekends when the U18 squad members play for the reserves, we promote lads from the under 16 team to play in the U18 team. We basically expose our players to more advanced opposition at all levels and it is a strategy we started about 4 years back with the set that included Barazite/Gibbs/Bendtner and that is why we have so many youngsters in our first team.

Is the average age of the team lower than 20 or not?[/quote]Those who have something to hide overlook the obvious, the reserve league is defined as a league for reserve teams and has nothing to do with age or youth, even if your reserve team's age is lower than 20 that doesn't say much about their performance, for example Arsenal's reserve team average age would then be U18 cos we've been basically playing our Academy league team in that competition as virtually all our players in the age range 18-22 are out on loan.
One good thing yu've done for us this season is beating Villa to the Reserve league title, they've specialised in turning out old guys in that competition who never really make it into their first team, perhaps this will force them to rethink.

Even the next generation of Wilshere(18), Lansbury(19) and JET(19) are considered to be above reserve level football after winning the double at under age level last year and are on loan with Premiership and Championship clubs fighting for points every week.

If there was really something to play for in that game, our players wouldn't have responded that way I'm sure. We still had enough quality in that team to win the game but the refs should really do more about teams that go for rough house tactics in the box like Blackburn did yesterday. Fabianski was targeted by those thugs yesterday and the likes of Sol and Silvestre didn't do much to help him rather raising their hands for fouls they knew that Ref would never blow.
It is games like that we had yesterday that leads to red cards and fights, it is a shame the ref didn't do anything to discourage those tactics by Blackburn. Even Barcelona could have conceded goals like we did yesterday if those same tactics are used against them, the only difference is that they would probably go on to score 3 or 4 of their own which we didnt.

I don't blame Fabianski for any of those goals, they should have been fouls (the first one was a blatant foul by Jason Roberts on the keeper) but the other was more 50/50 or at the most I blame Arsenal's defending players for not standing up to the blackburn players. If the ref doesn't protect you, then protect yourself.
Vidic and Rio would have murdered someone in that box and so would Terry have probably decapitated somebody. Perhaps the boys are feeling like there is nothing to play for.

Can you please name this facts I created in my head? that Manure is indebted? that Abramovic wrote off Chelsea's debts?
My point all along was never that Chelsea and manure are now indebted and cannot buy players, my point was always that I don't see Chelsea spending as much as they spent to build up this present team (which is now getting too old as acknowledged by Ancelloti himself) going forwards and that this would further level the playing field since Abramovic would not be looking forward to writing off another 500 to 600m in the next 5 years. They also have the small matter of the 25+8 rule to contend with.

As per Manure, what I said was that their recent spending pattern indicated a shift in their strategy since they've not gone after well known established names or expensive youngsters in recent times despite the windfall from CR7's sale. Those 2 clubs will definitely continue to buy but the difference in spending between them and arsenal will continue to narrow both as a result of the financial squeeze as well as our improving financial situation enabling us to bridge the gap in quality with the continuing development of players coming through our youth system (who already form a large part of our squad) and the emergence of newer players.

As to Aguerro's transfer, I would rather let that become a topic of discussion when the transfer is confirmed, but I still hold the view that it doesn't add much to chelsea that they don't already have.

That portion in bold is a lie, I never said any such thing. That only came about as part of a discussion on whether Arsene had improved the club or not since his arrival and any well meaning  and truthful Arsenal fan would admit that much including Debo who did admit it during the discussion. At the end of the day, the only reason my statement about us being a near mid-table side was disputed was simply because we all didn't have the same definition in mind of what a mid-table side meant. The statistics I posted of Arsenal's trophy history pre and post Arsene were never disputed by anyone.

I'd rather take the experience and judgment of a coach who has won numerous titles both European and domestic, and is on the cusp of another one, than a coach who is apparently an irredeemable navel gazer who will never see anything wrong with his failed policy.

All complaints and no solution offered, any recommendations? will you pass an offering basket to raise 40m? no I think not, all you can do is cast envious glances at those buying and wish you were in their shoes. You should have realised by now that the club you support doesn't play in that sphere. Usmanov is not taking over and neither is Kroenke, this is the path the club has chosen to toe, if you can't suggest any better stop this constant grumbling and find other things about your club to be happy about.

Stick to criticizing Arsene on tactics and choice of players, even if you get rid of Arsene, is it not this same board we all know he is in cahoots with who will select the next manager? what exactly do you think will be the brief of this manager? do you really think spending patterns will change? Leave things you can do nothing about alone and don't turn yourself into a bitter old grandpapa, you are a young and virile man.   

You need not look farther than Liverpool to see how well Arsene has managed this club, doing things in a way you consider right doesn't always yield instant results but when they do it is usually very sustainable, that is why I'm a proud and happy supporter of Arsenal.

It isn't confirmed yet and even if it is, Arguero isn't any improvement over what they have already in Drogba and Anelka, doesnt have Messi's skills neither does he have Tevez's hustle. I'm quite happy for them to waste that kind of money, it is less money for them to make more meaningful signings.

Nigerian reaction to issues like this always baffle me, yes the English press expose issue like this when they do affect their own society. The only difference is that if such a thing is filmed (and no one would stop anyone who decides to film such just like Michael Moore did with 'Sicko' showing the state of health insurance in the US) in the developed world, it would become an election issue where parties and contestants would have to formulate policies to deal with such issues, it is unfortunate that in Nigeria it is rather the people who expose such things who get the heat rather than the government who should be making people's life better.
With all due respect to Prof. Wole Soyinka's person (and he is deserving of a lot of respect for how he has portrayed our country in a good light to the outside world), I think his call on this issue is wrong both from an art and journalistic perspective. We are no longer fighting colonialists presently but the evils of our own society of which we are lord and master and not the English who left us 50 years ago.
