The Appeal Court verdict of the 5 man panel sitting in Abuja, that nullified the April 11 2015 election, that produced Governor Udom Emmanuel, was greeted with wide spread jubilation by residents of the state, believed to be APC supporters, who shut down traffic in Uyo, the state capital after the landmark court ruling.

A Melbourne MP Lizzie Blandthorn has received several calls and backlash from residents for her little doll in a nativity, they claimed her dark-skinned baby Jesus is inaccurate and tagged it OFFENSIVE to Christians.

Police arrested two probationers after an Amazon.com delivery driver reported someone following his truck and picking up packages he dropped at homes.

Authorities say they found five stolen packages, drugs, methamphetamine, heroin, a gun and stolen mail addressed to 13 people in their Dodge Charger.

All schools in Los Angeles have been forced to close down over a credible terrorist threat.

Russia yesterday stepped up its aerial attacks on the Islamic States targets in Syria as cruise missiles were fired from a submarine in the Mediterranean for the first time on the terrorist strongholds in Raqqa the IS de-facto headquarters.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, yesterday assured the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), while speaking at the 6th quadrennial national delegates conference on Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) in Abuja, that he will not only join but lead the protest against any governor that fails to pay the agreed minimum wage.

He stated, that there was no justification for any governor not to pay the minimum wage, Vanguard reports.

It has just emerged that one of the Islamic State gunmen involved in the brutal massacre of 89 people in Central Paris on 13 November, coordinated attacks with a total casualty of 130 people, was trained to shoot by the French Police.

Samy Amimour, 28, was one of the suicide bombers who also used a Kalashnikov automatic rifle to cause the bloodbath at the Bataclan theatre.

Amimour, from the Paris suburb of Drancy, trained at the police shooting club in the city, after he registered for a gun licence in 2011. Though he had no criminal record when he started the course and shaved off his beard so he would not arouse suspicion.

The elderly scammers were uncovered by undercover police officers, using hidden cameras to film filmed the fraudsters going about their everyday business on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia – and then using white canes to visit the doctor.

In one of the footage, an elderly man is filmed reading food labels in a supermarket.

Meet Gary and Amy, from Norfolk UK who got married in 2006 and have always lived happily together until Gary came out as transgender in March. The couple had brought up three children together, but unknown to Amy that Gary had been secretly battling gender identity issues sine the age of 12.

When Gary came out to her in March, and told her he wanted to be known as Melissa, Amy felt shocked and rejected, but having built a life with her husband, she tried to understand what he was going through.

A major international crisis is brewing between Turkey and Russia as Turkish military earlier today shot down a Russian war plane near its border with Syria, Ankara and Moscow confirms.


The Russian Sukhoi Su-24 jet was shot down by Turkish F-16 fighter planes on Tuesday morning after violating the country's air space and ignoring nearly a dozen warnings, army officials said.

However, Russia's Ministry of Defence claims the jet was in Syrian airspace, and was shot down from the ground.

OMG! A would-be thief got served real hot and fast when he choose a wrong victim. A plain cloth police officer identified as William Ferreire, was on a queue in a Venezuelan bank when the robber approached him from the side, pulled out a gun demanding the cash and the golden chain on him.
