my little word of advise is that do not go down this route your word should be your bond and if you do not have what was agreed you must let the buyer know so that he can make his own decision on the lower spec. Na so one complaint becomes 2 and so on until your integrity will be put to question. Tread carefully alot of people get feedback on this platform and you should ensure that the feedback is positive a word is enough for the wise

Truly it was a struggle to the last day.

My friends on here pitched me huge 2v banks up to 2000Ah for significantly less than the cost of Lithium.

One deciding factor was that my company has a few Lithium installs under our belt, it is the cornerstone of our business success to use the products we sell so we have a wealth of real field experience and can provide valuable support to our customers.

In the end it was a happy accident as I ended up with a huge PV array - 19kw as part of the deal and not too crazy a cost.

A couple of pain points though;

1) Had to give up my beloved MorningStar CCs as they pulled support for PylonTech.


2) A lot of premium copper connectors, ferrules e.t.c i purchased for lead acid have now gone to waste.

3) PylonTech is a smart/managed battery - I understand that you cannot simply connect an inverter to the battery terminals and use - even if you make all settings for charge and discharge within safe tolerance. The PylonTech expects a keepalive signal from your inverter or control box else it switches off after a set interval. I have not seen this yet in practice but I went in with all the right tools to do it properly anyways. The 2 clients I installed for used an Axpert and Steca respectively so things were a lot simpler there.

4) Despite paying top dollar for 2 Victron Quattros (15kva & 8kva) and undrerstanding that Victron supports PylonTech, I found to my chagrin I had to purchase a Victron GX control device to sit between Inverter and Battery and CCs and Battery for everything to work. I had to return a VE.Can Victron CC purchased at a good price because only VE.Direct and VE.Bus Victron products are compatible.

With my huge array, quite a challenge integrating 4 CCs into one GX device - had to purchase an assortment of cables and USB hub to make things work.

5) All in all quite a bit of complexity to work through - what is needed is a lot more than just connect inverter, CCs and battery to bus bar. In my setup, the Inverter, CCs are slaves to the PylonTech BMS with the Venus GX device acting as governor for the relationship and communication.

If any device loses connection to the GX, it goes offline and may be cumbersome to restart. If the BMS faults out and shuts down the battery, nothing else will work till the GX device can start - remember GX requires battery and battery has gone off either you have another smaller independent dumb lead acid or Lithium battery to power the GX off of or you use mains supply to kickstart the inverter and battery.

In short a lot can go wrong that is just software and interface. You dont face all these challenges with Lead Acid.

In the end I was able to setup an entire working system with remote monitoring working alone over the course of two evenings - with this I became certain I was called to this profession indeed.

My back, upper arms and pocket still hurt though

2. A sworn affidavit that the car has been registered and it's in use presently in Nigeria...

Approval to pay duty will be given after all the items above have been submitted by your agent...

It's 5kva Hybrid with 60a pmw (which I'm not using duh)

looks a like an Axpert clone branded under Felicity. Those inverters charging parameters do not give it a true and proper 3 stage charging of bulk, absorbtion and float. The behave more like bulk chargers. Before you go for the change of all your batteries you may look at the inverter you are currently using. Regards

Hello amazing people and great forumites , it's been real tasking making sure i satisfy most of my clients needs / orders who commit so much cash & get their products in return ! Apologies to few out of millions who view but do not type that i couldn't attend to due to very busy schedule . I don't think anybody in God's name will come out and say I absconded with his / her cash for countless years of transactions done with me.. Issues of warranty on brand new items purchased by company who offered us warranty are treated with hitches unless for few companies who don't offer warranty or basically on fairly used batteries which I rarely offer written warranty but sell in good faith as most already know !
We've many who committed cash and got fast supplies and few with saddist traits who did very little or no deal and felt that coming online daily for tales / Epistles of unrealistic transaction which if at all it was as they paint it to be , I do cash refunds to be factual ! I am physically present in Lagos State and likes of Abunafiu, Niyi etc has been to my personal aboad . I also have so many who has met with me in person Saipro, Barezzi, Dam5reey, Pranil, Prime,Hisenjos, Richmond, Ola, enough installers and renewable energy enthusiasts etc and Boss George , Rovar who've transacted with me and no issues till date !
We face some challenging issues sometimes in our line of business as I have most who know absolutely nothing about solar product vis-a-vis quality , they commit cash to you under "abeg help me get something good under trust" like someone who I have transacted millions with and he needed a Korea car battery. I gave him option of everstat battery but after viewing pic he sent and terminal polarity position, I opted in for a quality Korea product called Sebang . The client issue was that he doesn't know sebang and I would have told him battery name before sending far North which I said "sorry for that" & also mentioned he can send back and I refund cash back since the whole business was just for old time sake not necessarily for humungous gain ! The client operated on deaf ears and threatened he was a lawyer called to bar decades ago and would do xoxoxoxooxo if battery fails but I only kept my cool and he has been here calling a fellow man like him names like he was his creator or the mistake/error of communication can't ever be forgiven by him as a mortal being !
The way Prime mentioned to someone here if he needed flames office contact, he can assist .. I deliberately sent receipt snapshot picture of a panel I got from popular foresolar warehouse on Yuletide break which all travelled but I tried my possible best to see client was happy.The picture was to show not all foresolar panels have the tag "foresolar" on it's nameplate which I confirmed from their CEO "Mr Ifeanyi) , the client never believed even after knowing I don't ever rebrand since my years of existing on this wonderful forum ! The second issue was little change which was gotten from my routine logistics bid just to use for my stressful shuttles that holiday but client felt it's another issue forgetting it's where someone works - the person feeds from and even a cousin,friend,sibling can also do that when it comes to business which is no criminal offense .
It has been a lovely family in here .I advice let's learn to live & let live ! I will not go back to the past but just For the records Frankie you never made an offer for me to return the car battery you sent to me that was leaking fluid and did not last up to 6 months before u had to change. Anyway, it is like you can never change and you keep it up your downfall will be sooner rather than later. Just keep in mind that You need customers more than they need you. One day monkey go go market he no go come back. A good name is more than gold. Do have a pleasant year ahead.

I bought those useless luminous batteries myself from Simba in Lagos and had them shipped to Anambra.

I was so disappointed with the batteries when I saw each of them drop to 9v during load testing.

I didn't bother calling the Simba even duh they muted warranty when I was paying for them but I know how warranties work in Nigeria so I have made up my mind to discard the batteries. I don't even have flight money to spare to go to Lagos.

My problem now is which batteries do I go for?

I have been researching about the claim that having batteries on float almost all the tym is not good for batteries
Even duh it discharges every nite to about 15% DOD

Lithium batteries are out of my option coz it's in a remote location and indoors wouldn't want to burn down my inheritance

I met the members of the community and paid them for other fees like community development levy, youths fees, and change of ownership.

I have approached the government and paid the statutory fees for the approval of a building development in Enugu. I have settled fees of ECTDA (capital territory), ESWAMA and the local government development levy in two places. I have original receipts for all of these payments, except for the land agents.

The story....

I own a laundry shop and usually have atleast two staff whose duties are mainly washing and ironing. We went on a small break during the Christmas-NewYear celebration and resumed early January, but my two staff didn't turn up, so I started looking for new workers.

A young guy walked into my shop last Saturday and declared his interest in handling the ironing job, according to him he had a previous work experience. After talking with him, I asked him to bring a guarantor, CV, application letter and passport while resuming work on Monday...I must confess that the workload is too much for only me and it prompted me to be a bit desperate.

By Sunday evening he sent me an SMS begging me to allow him bring the items I requested on Wednesday cause that's when the guarantor will also be available, and he pleaded that I should allow him resume work on Monday while waiting for Wednesday. Out of pity and because I was a bit desperate, I accepted his proposal.

He resumed work on Monday, and on Tuesday(yesterday) I had a visitor at the shop, a friend(lady) that was searching for an apartment whom I wanted to help secure one in my estate. The lady came to my shop and dropped her handbag which I didn't know contained #17500. We stepped out for like 20minutes to inspect the apartment, by the time we came back the guy has vanished. He had gone through the lady's bag immediately we stepped out and took the whole money including my office phone.

As soon as the lady noticed that her money is gone, she started shouting and creating scene, asking me to go find the boy or pay her the money..her drama was becoming too much so I had to source for #17500 immediately with the help of my landlady and gave her...

That was how my little favour turned out to be a nightmare.

Heaven knows I'm going to scrutinize any potential staff before employing him/her. This is why it's difficult to help people nowadays...I have learnt my lesson.

Secondly, I want to ask if anyone can help with the schematic drawing for hybrid inverter connection. I am not an expert but I try to read up, and from my readings, it seems that the connection of solar hybrid inverter is different from the normal solar-inverter connection.

Thirdly, I assume I don't need a charge controller if I am using a hybrid inverter...please help clarify.

Lastly, what is the recommended cable size and type for connection from the panels to the inverter....this is so that if I don't get a recommended installer, I can at least monitor the one I can manage to get to ensure a good connection.

If it is an Axpert hybrid inverter and you are using flooded batteries you will need a charge controller so that the batteries will not die within a short while. It has something to do with the charging parameters for and Axpert hybrid inverter with flooded batteries

Thanks man. My decision to bring her over to PH was not with ulterior motives as people actually perceive it to be. Before I raised the suggestion to help her, I understood the risks involved and I still went ahead anyways. She's told me her story and her visions. Her aunt is making her settle for lesser than she bargained for, but where she's going to be positioned to serve, she would be properly paid like a normal entry staff aside her monthly allowance, and well catered for as she isn't the only one I've connected that way... My plan is to make her independent, so I won't be her cash clown. I have so many other responsibilities on my neck.

I've only been slightly sceptical of late, with the way people I closely confided in have been condemning my decision and tagging it as "stupid". I somewhat feel a bit stupid, but not driven or motivated by lust but out of human kindness and likeness, and I will try as much as possible to avoid body contact. I don't want to appear manipulative or possessive. I've called my mom and I told her everything, she trusts my decision but also hopes I'm not gonna regret my gesture.

Plus, we are both having this discussion tonight. I'm gonna give her a chance to reconsider her choice.. we probably might be heading way fast, or probably not. Thanks again.
