Politics › Re: The Main Reason Igbos Want South South Minorities In Biafra by Duru1(m): 12:57am On Aug 29, 2015 |
mcvaeey: I'm not an igbo hater as many people assume. But let the truth be told today, igbos only want south south due to economic gains and nothing else. The South south region is the geopolitical zone in Nigeria and if each south south state where to be a country of its own, it would be one of the richest countries in Africa. Besides Lagos, no other state in Nigeria is richer than any south south state. They all have crude oil in commercial quantities and also access to international waters.
This is the main reason why the igbos are trying to cajole them into demonic union. They igbos always say that south south is not a tribe but an evil manipulation of the north. They say the northerners created the south south in order to divide and rule and call the yorubas all manners of names. The question I want to ask the igbos today are;
Are the people of south south complaining?
Have the people asked them to champion their cause in any way?
Why are they crying more than the bereaved over Gej's loss?
The igbos don't mean well for us. They only want our resources and want to marginalise us. Can a non igbo person hold a position in igboland? Can a non igbo person be sold land to in any part of igboland?
Why then does any sane person think that igbos have genuine intention for us?
Let's assume that biafra is achieved today and the south south joins them in biafra, what will be their contribution to the economy of biafra? What will they bring to the table?
The answer is nothing and the only thing they'll bring to the table is their population. Our history would be wiped out in 10 years if we join them cos they'll igbonise all of us.
An average igbo man is greedy, deceitful and can never be trusted. Per the bolded, you are a foolish fool. Nigeria is behind all curve of human endeavor due to bloody maggot such as you. |
Politics › Re: Keyamo Blasts Politicians Against Buhari's Appointments Pattern by Duru1(m): 12:40am On Aug 29, 2015 |
morereb10: Press statement from revered lawyer, Festus Keyamo
The so-called “uproar” over the perceived “lopsided” appointments made so far by President Buhari is nothing but an orchestrated frustration of a few jobless politicians who depend only on government appointments as their means of livelihood and, of course, the noise of the latest opposition party in town. The majority of Nigerians want to see good governance, pure and simple, and care less about the ethnic origin of those appointed into positions.
My worry is that the decade-long general division of government positions into “juicy” and “non-juicy”, and the mentality that these few “juicy” positions must be shared equally amongst the major ethnic groups was nothing but a contraption of the old order from which we have just liberated ourselves.
To my mind, all government appointments pose an equal challenge to those appointed as a call to higher service of fatherland. All public positions come with an equal responsibility to be honest, forthright and dedicated. To go further to classify them as “juicy” or “non-juicy is just a euphemism for positions that have enough money from which to steal and those that are “dry”.
Therefore, any agitation from a section of the country to get “juicy” positions is only an agitation for their kinsmen to be appointed to steal enough from which they would benefit. I therefore unreservedly condemn, in the strongest of terms, the so-called “uproar” about “juicy positions” going only to a certain section of this country.
All sections of this country should be happy and content with whatever positions that the President deems fit, at the end of the day, to give to their kinsmen. After all, the President still has a long way to go with appointments. He has not even filled up to five percent of available positions. Please, let the President be.
Thank you. FESTUS KEYAMO, ESQ.

Omololu007: Please, what is the meaning of Biafra in ibo language?
Modify: A lot of ibos don't even know the meaning of biafra, yet they keep screaming biafra up and down.Biafra is a word that was gotten from the subgroup biafar or biafada of the Tenda ethnic group who reside in guinea-bissau.the European travellers refer to people from some part of cameroon, gabon and gambia as biafrans,so it has nothing to do with ibos alone or the eastern part of Nigeria. You cannot understand the meaning of Biafra if you did not know that Oduduwa was a drunkard and womanizer. |

XBLadez: First of all, let me start by saying that I am a full-blooded Igbo young man from Imo State and a PDP faithful. I have been supporting PDP since the Obj days. Although, I was very young then but I liked him for being a man of great courage and unwavering confidence, not to mention his sense of humour. Too bad he walked away. I hate the tribal sentiments and nepotism attached to Nigeria politics. It is rather supposed be like football. For instance, my elder bro is a die-hard APC supporter; I roll with PDP. He supports Barcelona, I'm a Madridsta. During the presidency, he tried to hide my voter's card but I caught him. When it was time for governorship, he drove with his friends from Abuja to Imo while I joined public transport. We argue a lot, quarrel and even fight over these different subjects, but in the end we're still brothers. I voted for GEJ because I am PDP, not because GEJ is from SS. Truth be told, Rochas aka Roach ass is a better person than Emeka Ihedioha but I still voted against him. Even the embattled Ikedioha Ohakim got my vote, though we lost woefully. So what am I saying? My affiliation to any particular group is simply of personal choice and interest, not because my brother or friend is a member. If they win, I win with them and vice versa. What is happening now is what I expected. I knew Buhari would favour the north the more if he won, so I'm not surprised. I'm sure many PDP members know this too. So my question is, "Why are Ndigbo complaining?'' If anyone should complain at all, it should be the Yorubas, who came all out to give PMB their support. Without them, GEJ would still be ruling now. Ndigbo should kill this silly noise already. They're greedy idiots with protruding stomachs. They're not representing me; they're fighting for their own selfish interest, because they won't remember me when they get there. So I enjoin all PDP faithful on Nairaland, especially those from the east, to avoid siding with this so-called Ndigbo association. They're not really for us. You are a troll, period. |

It doesn't matter much if Ikwerres spoke Igboid or share customs with Igbo, we simply arent Igbo and its a collective awareness..We have a name for Igbos and its ISOMA or RumuISOMA.
Being neighbours and having similarities with Igbos doesnt give Igbos the right to attempt to coerce us into accepting what we aren't.
There is a acceptable limit to everything and this continuous coercion is both immoral and illegal and will be vehemently resisted by Ikwerres.
If Igbo cant stay on their own, they can join Cameroon, Ikwerre cared less.[/quote]You are one of the silliest fools ever posted on Nairaland. According to dullards such as you, Ikwerre is Edoid. There is no rapscallion of Ikwerre background that will share customs with Igbo. How can Edoid share anything with Igbo? Uratta uses the word - “ Isoma” for non-Uratta fellows yet Uratta is not Ikwerre and certainly not Edoid as most moronic Ikwerre have claimed. Look jackass, I play no poker and I take my ancestral home very seriously.
I do not give ratass about those nitwits who suddenly denounced their ancestral homes. I hate to see anything Ikwerre injected into serious discussion by the red bloodied Igbo son or daughter.

Politics › Re: Can We At Least Try To Identify The North As 3 Regions They Are (NE, NW, NC) by Duru1(m): 12:08am On Aug 28, 2015 |
victorels: The North has finally swallowed up middle belt such that Benue, Kogi and Kwara states are now regarded as North. It is an achievement of the North.
But Nigeria has 6 Geopolitical zones From two protectorates called the Southern and Northern Protectorates.
The Region from the Southern Protectorate includes the SS, SE and SW regions while the Northern Protectorate has NE, NW, and NC regions.
Currently, the President has made some appointment and most of them came from the Northern protectorate. The fact still remains that the appointments are from different regions of the Northern Protectorate. While we are eager to criticise the appointments made, we should atleast acknowledge that the appointment are not solely from the Presidents Region.
If we are Ok with generalizing all appointment so far as Northern appointment without regards to the region, we should also be ready to generalize appointments from the southern Region without regards to SS, SE or SW.
It is nobody's fault that the Northern Protectorate are united (even though some of the group is carrying out genocide on some minority ethnic groups) than the Southern Protectorate.
If a man from the SE, SW and SS agitate for appointment, he should also accept appointments made to other regions from NE, NW and NC as appointment from different regions.
The SE, SS and SW should blame themselves for disunity in her protectorate. North is one region in Nigeria. It has never been and will not be three. Most Nigerians tend to be daft and completely non-existence when critical thinking is the subject matter. Please snap out of your delirious dream and shy away from the idiocy called geopolitical zone. |

kingdompropty: The issue of Biafra have continued to rage for sometime now, going down memory lane from Obj, Yar Adua to Good luck Jonathans era the whole issue of biafra if at all it came up was mild. The question is why Mr. Buharis time?
The average igbo man will stand on what he believes on, that is why they stood with the former President till the end even when it was apparent he stood no chance.
While I had thought as the saying goes that you keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer, that Mr. Buhari would quickly see how to maneuver the Igbo leaders immediately he won power to his camp, he kept announcing 5% and 97% even before the international community.
As an Igbo Man who was both born and bred in Lagos state which I have come to call home , the average igbo spirit. It amuses me the way little argument of who owns Lagos can quickly degenerate to some times an Oba calling for death of fellow citizens or a Doctor in far away land will call for a xenophobic attack on other citizens.
Under an Obj, Yar Adua or Jonathans government Nigeria was no this divided , but thanks to a president that keeps campaigning 3 months after election, even up to calling for arrest and prosecution of a radio station that have not killed a soul before.
Friends ask me that what do I do to my properties in the South West if Biafra comes and I tell them that, that is why I am igbo.
Except Mr. Buhari quickly seek for ways to address the issue's of a huge chunk of the nation from perceived marginalization and cease from representing the interest of a certain village even his best chanters would soon be discouraged.
On the issue of radio Biafra I think this government have made them more popular than any thing else, my take is a kind of national conference should be called soon to address grievances and the Nation restructured to cater for even the least groups in Nigeria . Have you heard that there is time for everything? I must say your stream of thought left much to be desired. |

Sweetlemon: Yeah you heard me right. I am tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When news of appointments break out, the fist thing people will do is check the state of origin. Really? So track record is no longer important? Mr Fowler that was a Southerner was he not later shown to have fake certificates? And please don't give me that crap about competent people being in other tribes cos we all know for fact most people would prefer him to employ incompetent people from their regions rather than competent people from the North. And yes even some so called APC supporters too! Some Yorubas would also be feeling left out because they don't have "enough" appointments. Then when governance goes back to being business as usual with the same stories of missing hard currencies every week, we start crying for our sorry selves. Of the new list of appointments, there are 5 of them in number. fine 3 or 4 of them are Northerners but there are 3 Christians there plus one SSner. One name looks middlebeltan too. I checked this Col. Hameed's record and he is squeaky clean. But no he's not good enough for some people because he's a Northerner? For Christ's sake ask your distracted selves these questions:
1. There has been even distribution of electricity for a while now, did he give orders for more to go to the North? Is there more stable electricity in North than in the south? 2. The clean up in sectors so far, does it in the long run affect only Northerners? If the EFCC, Customs, pensions, NNPC etc are functioning properly does it not mean better for us as a whole? When last did you queue for fuel? 3. Buhari just ordered clean up of ogoni areas, let's not forget we just had an ND son there for the past five years!
I could go on and on about certain structures Buhari has put in place for Nigerians as a whole. Things that will benefit YOU and ME. Ordinary, everyday Nigerians. Not appointments. Biko was your father or uncle jostling to make the list? So why are you so concerned about any other thing about the list apart from track record If he appoints all from SW, if he makes the appointments equal among all regions will a single kobo get into your pocket Will it affect your personal lives in anyway whatsoever? Dammit mehn! Damn this shiit! I really don't know when and how manage Nigeria moved from having two Muslim Presidential candidates without anyone batting an eyelash to all this religious and ethnic melodramas.
Honestly I'm so tired now. Maybe I should just relocate to the USA or something. Nigerians really get what they deserve. I'm just happy that Buhari doesn't seem moved by unnecessary outcries and may God grant him the strength to be able to remain resilient and focused on his mission. What track record is associated with zoo called Nigeria? The act of appointment is by itself tribal and to suggest otherwise by a so-called Nigerian is hypocrisy at best. |

laudate: Interesting! What is the proportion of oil blocks in Anambra & Imo?
Is it greater than the ones on the outskirts of Lagos, or the ones in Ondo, Edo, Kogi etc? It would be interesting to check the seismic data results. Last time I went through comments in the media, there was no confirmation that Igala and Idoma people had any intention of leaving Nigeria. So those drawing mental boundaries through their land believing it would form the northern part of their new country, need to have a rethink.
And the largest number of private oil or fuel depots were concentrated in the South-West, last time I checked. So also were LFTZ, Olokonla FTZ Tin Can Ports, Apapa ports etc. Anyway, there are countries without oil, that have survived.
Ah, well...what do you know? If Biafra is actualized today, the first order of business will be to shutdown all the crude oil wells in the land. Biafrans must chart a different course from dumbass entity such as Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Agitations For Biafra Heightens, Eastern Leaders React - Hallmark News by Duru1(m): 7:09pm On Aug 27, 2015 |
laudate: Thanks for letting us know that you view Nigeria as a "torture zone". Those were your words, not mine. The best thing would have been to move back into the South-East and develop it, into a sheer heaven on earth, instead of jetting out to other countries.
However, they prefer to reside in those other countries where they have no say in how their own affairs are run, where their opinions do not count, where they can be deported at the drop of a hat, and where they would have to devise many schemes in order to get residency or valid papers. But then every man to his own.
Trust me, there are too many non-Igbo who are ready, willing and able, to move into the spare parts business & real estate industry, once your brothers leave Nigeria. Selling spares is not rocket science, honestly. Non-Igbo Nigerians can easily develop a new Alaba market, if need be. And there have always been people from all ethnic groups in Nigeria, selling real estate. The Igbo do not have any extra-ordinary or special skills in this area.
Yes, Biafra has unexplored oil deposits in Anambra & Imo. But then, so does Nigeria too in other parts of Ondo, Edo etc. Don't forget that part of the oil wells in Anambra, also flows straight through to Kogi land. And seismic data from Kogi has confirmed that commercial deposits of oil exists in that area. Last time I checked, the Igala in that part of town were not ready to leave Nigeria, for anywhere else. Badagry has also been found to have small deposits of oil and gas. An agreement to set up a processing plant in that area, is being signed as we speak. In Lake Chad at the northern part of Nigeria, there has been no oil but massive pockets of trapped gas which can be processed, piped and tapped for future use in gas-to-power schemes. After all, there are countries without a drop of oil that still survive. Does anyone remember Japan? Or Singapore?
By the time you leave, the rest of Nigeria would have to take other sources of revenue (such as tin, solid minerals, feldspar, gold, iron ore mining etc,) much more seriously, as well as Agriculture. Rivers Niger and Benue can be nurtured to supply adequate fishing stocks. Ogun River, Epe waterside, Yewa River, Osun River etc, can also do the same job. Don't forget that Argungu is where you find the largest fishing stocks, every year. The Atlantic Ocean also flows through the shoreline of Lagos and a few other places. Malaysia made a fortune from non-oil exports. So can we. The Lagos Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and the Olokonla FTZ are all here in Nigeria. The bitumen deposits in parts of Ondo State, are enough to tar our roads if properly harnessed. Your departure will spur us to concentrate on these things. Construction work has already started on Dangote's refinery in Olokonla area of Ondo State.
Remediation of lands affected by oil spillage, would then take centre stage. Buhari is leading the way by implementing the clean-up of Ogoni land. After the remediation, if the non-Igbo parts of the Niger-Delta choose to increase their fish farming activities, then there should be no issues. But then, it would depend on which of the minority tribes in the Niger-Delta, wish to remain in Nigeria. It is solely their call.
So you can see, that the remaining parts of Nigeria would survive quite well without the Igbo. Once they leave, we would reinforce our borders, increase trade restrictions on in-bound foreign items in order to foster local development of goods and services, and place a ban on any products manufactured in Biafra, from coming in. So forget about having your cake and eating it.
Therefore, your folks do not need to wait forever to apply for citizenship of Biafra. Ask them to renounce their Nigerian nationality, right now. Tear up their passports. And ask your director to issue each of them with a new travelling document, without further delay.
Don't forget to remind them to excavate their shops on the way out, and take them along. We will keep ourselves busy, building new ones. When it is time for us to review their visa applications, Biafrans will be forced to be polite and vice versa. Rudeness would lead to visa denial on the spot. And once they arrive, they would restrain themselves from preaching hate-filled epistles, since they know that deportation is a reality.
So nobody should prevent Biafra from becoming a reality, abeg!! We are more interested in those who would be left behind. For once, get your moronic mind off crude oil. How does it concern you to the point of skipping sleep that Biafrans sell spare parts? How does what the jackasses do in the zoo called Nigeria affect most of Ndiigbo who had left for Biafra? If the goons in the jungle called Nigeria want to knock themselves out with spare parts business & real estate industry establishments, it will only amuse the Ndiigbo. |
