Paxziano:Well, since it supports band 3, it should naturally work with ntel. But some of us have noticed that 4G Only networks like ntel, Spectranet, Smile don't work properly on miui 8(Android 6.0.1). Reception appears for a few seconds and then disappears. But those who have received Android 7.0, like Mi5 users, have confirmed that 4G Only networks work perfectly on it. As far as I know, Redmi 4 prime doesn't enjoy a lot of community/unofficial support, hence I don't think there is an Android 7 based custom ROM for it, which would have been the solution, if ntel is really a must for you. |
Still available |
vintino:There are so many busybodies on this site. One idiot just jumped into thread, telling me the price of my brand new RN4 SD global is too much. I don't know why people just can't mind their business. |

asuustrike2009:Any device that supports band 3(1800mhz), and most LTE devices do. |
Mafia4life:What's that 32GB? I don't get that part. Edit: I think she meant 3.2GB |
kestolove95:Can you confirm that you never received the extra 1.6gb? Because I understand that it could take up to 30 minutes to receive it. |
By the way, if you live in Nigeria, the note 4 global version is what you should buy, not note 4x. The note 4x was meant mainly for China, hence why it supports quite a number of TDD LTE bands, because that's what Chinese networks use. The only TDD LTE band you need in Nigeria is band 40, which Spectranet and Swift use, and global version supports it anyway. The note 4 global version, on the other hand, supports more useful FDD LTE bands, like band 20. Smile uses band 20, and as of 3 weeks ago, mtn has started issuing Visafone/mtn branded SIMs which support band 20(800mhz). Where you'd normally get 1 to 2 bars on mtn band 7, you'd get 5 bars on band 20. Data and tariff plans are now fully unified. Also, mtn doesn't plan on deploying band 7 nationwide. Some places where Visafone already had presence will get only band 20. This is already happening in Jos. |
Mckandre:There are basically three note 4 Snapdragon variants. The note 4 Indian variant, note 4x and note 4 global version. As far as I know, they all have the same codename, which is MIDO. Surprisingly, even though they support different LTE bands, they all use the same radio/modem file, and in turn, use the same rom. Forget about the variations of roms you see on the miui download page. The roms are exactly the same. Unlike the note 4 sd variants, the note 3 sd variants, Kate and kenzo radio files aren't interchangeable. Hence, the difference in Codename and roms. |
ugoelvis1:Note 4x and Note 4 SD global version are exactly the same except for LTE band 4 and 20 support for the global variant. So just get a case and glass for note 4x, and you should be fine. |
JeffreyJamez:Data plans and tariff plans have been unified. There is no difference any longer. The only difference between those using the normal mtn SIM and those using the Visafone migrated SIM is LTE band 20. The Visafone migrated Sims support both LTE band 7 and 20, while the normal mtn Sims support only band 7. |
asuustrike2009:These plans were introduced when mtn newly acquired VisaFone. And they were meant for those who migrated from Visafone to mtn, but they've since been discontinued. Normal MTN customers and those who migrated from Visafone now use unified plans, which is the normal mtn data plans, for 3G and 4G. Everything is the same now, including tariff plans. |
alt3r3g0:It did, and afterwards, it was reduced from 100% to 20%. |
iliyande:If I had known, I'd have gone same route. If I were you, I'd accumulate enough for a year lucky you |
iliyande:But this only applies to those with active subscription. I haven't subscribed for a while now. But this thing is paining me seriously sha. I was actually planning on subscribing to Glo data since my MTN double data offer has stopped. |

nkemma54:It's locked to Glo network, but not locked to band 28. I've one, and I also use MTN LTE on it. Here is the specs

akereconfi:Alright. Thanks |
akereconfi:Okay. It should be something like this, SM-G935F |
yeezyquan:This is not possible on 4G LTE, or any wireless or WiFi connection. Your friend is using a Wired connection. |
akereconfi:Alright. But which of the variants of S7 edge? You'll find this in the 'About Phone' section of 'Settings' |
akereconfi:Which Samsung model is this? |
Some people would just sit somewhere and imagine one hell of a fictional story, because this is far from reality. |
GrandMufti:Yeah, that's what happens if switched to LTE Only. Hopefully, in the nearest future, our networks just might implement VoLTE. |
GrandMufti:It only switches when it's on 2G, 3G and 4G mode, or 2G and 4G mode, or 3G and 4G, but when it's explicitly on '4G Only' mode, you wouldn't be able to receive or make calls, neither would USSD work. Only data and text would work. |
GrandMufti:Only if your network provider supports VoLTE. Otherwise, only text and data would work. |
Gucciboss:Yeah, I know. But the guy was confused as to why his phone was behaving that way, so I wanted him to be sure if 4G is actually available. |
tunzi:Log into your GT bank online profile. Under Cards tab, click on View Blocked funds. If it's there, then don't worry, it'll be refunded within two weeks.
|
vanchi:Switch your network Mode to LTE Only, see if it stays on 4G. |
