Jorussia: The issue of bakassi is a forgotten one.There is an ICJ judgement seceding bakassi to Cameroon. There is absolutely nothing Pmb can do about bakassi, except they(the militants) want Nigeria to go to war with Cameroon. Here is what is happening now. A hausa/fulani is at the helm of affairs, therefore these so-called militants from the Niger delta want everything, even that they know they can't have. And if they can't have it, then they use that as an excuse to cause havoc. This is the reality as is. |

Both phones don't support 4G, so I'd advice against buying either. You could by Lenovo vibe p1m40, which supports wide range of 4G bands and it's within price range of the phones you mentioned.
It's unwise to buy a non-4G phone in 2016. ntel has already launched its 4G, and Lenovo p1m40 supports both bands of ntel. Also, Lenovo p1m40 supports band 20(800) which MTN plans to launch its lte on. Be rest assured that glo, airtel and etisalat will also follow suit in launching 4G before the end of this year. |

Anyways...
DEVICE = HUAWEI GR5 (HONOR 5X)
LOCATION = IWAYA, YABA.
NETWORK = 2 BARS (of 4 tho) It's showing Abuja because the server in the settings is one of those based in Abuja, and they are usually slow. To get the true speed, In Speedtest.net app, go to settings and change the test server to either Vodacom Nigeria business, MainOne cable, Cobranet, Internet solution pty or Smile communications. These servers are based in Lagos, and are quite fast. |

tHANKS. Sim Free means it's unlocked, that is, it's not locked to any network. The US variants don't support as many LTE bands as the global variants. |

moondancing: ok thanks ntel hasn't officially launched its services in Lagos, so i would suggest you wait till they do so. Don't buy sim and subscribe in Abuja, only to go to Lagos and then find that coverage is poor, then you start complaining, blaming ntel for your own miscalculation. Also, since ntel hasn't officially launched in Lagos, you can't complain if you experience any hitch whatsoever. |

OP, it's always best you go on google and do these kind of researches yourself. However, I took the time to do some research, and i found out the D855 variant, which is the global variant, would work best here in Nigeria. It's the only variant that supports LTE band 3(1800) and 8(900) which ntel uses, and LTE band 20(800) which Smile network uses, and it's on the same band that MTN plans on rolling out its lte next month, and you can be sure that Airtel, Etisalat and Glo will most likely acquire one of those listed spectrums.
This is 2016, and when buying a phone, 3G is not really what you consider in terms of network compatibility, because most, if not all phones, support 2100mhz frequency of 3G which all our gsm networks use. |

worksmart: France and US and rest of Europe work together, it is part of the unwritten rules of the white supremacist system that they use to rule Africa and most of the 3rd world.
Whats in for France you ask, do you remember how French puppet states like Cameroon , Niger and Chad were seizing Nigerian territory on the pretext that they recaptured it from Boko Haram, when in all probability those Chadian troops were actually Boko Haram terrorists.
If Buhari hadn't been elected those puppet states and therefore by extention France, would have tried to annex those territories rich in natural resources. I totally believe the emboldened. And i believe this is why Russia is not usually in agreement with US and most of European countries, because Russia knows these things. Russia prefers to align with Asian countries instead, because they aren't part of the conspiracy, with the exception of Saudi Arabia. I think they part of it. To the topic; The OP, GenBuhari, may come of as extremely paranoid at times, but his thoughts or theories are very plausible. |

Abusule007: I didn't get such mail from ntel. The only mail i ever got from ntel which was 28 last month is shown below
Dear Pioneer,
I am delighted to be writing in response to questions about the availability of devices that will work correctly on ntel’s 4G/LTE-Advanced network. These questions were about data devices and, in addition, about those devices that will support ntel’s new Voice-Over-LTE (VoLTE) services. Firstly, ntel will shortly publish at: ntel.com.ng an up-to-date list of devices that provide the best quality data experiences on our 4G/LTE-Advanced network. These are devices that we have tested, configured (with unique settings) and certified for our network. If you choose to buy one of these devices abroad, be mindful that they can have subtly different software versions in different countries. So do carefully match the device’s model number to confirm its compatibility with ntel. Secondly, for the use of voice services on ntel’s 4G/LTE-Advanced network, we will offer the choice of either a: 4G/LTE VoLTE device, such as those to be published on ntel’s website, that provides native (ie. Direct) access to high-definition (HD) VoLTE; or Non-VoLTE 4G device together with the ntel VoXHD application, provided free of charge, that will enable access to HD voice calls. ntel’s VoXHD application will be pre-loaded on compatible 4G/LTE devices or available for free download on Google’s Play store. The first batch of ntel 4G/VoLTE devices will be available for sale in early June. Before then, we will launch ntel’s VoXHD that will enable HD voice calls on compatible 4G/LTE devices. As an ntel Pioneer, you will be the first to hear of VoXHD’s availability and learn how to get it on your 4G/LTE device/s. Alongside ntel’s VoXHD launch, we will offer exciting new tariffs that build on the UNLIMITED theme of our data packages and reinforce the choice and value benefits to you, our Pioneers. Watch this space, ntel VoXHD is coming… Thank you for your interest in ntel.
Live. More.
Kamar Abass Below email was sent to customers on the 16th of May. Dear Pioneer, I am writing to express our appreciation for your participation in ntel’s Early Users’ Trial, which started on April 19, 2016. It was immensely successful from our perspective and, we hope, from yours too: many thousands of customers registered to purchase SIMs and airtime; and used our 4G/LTE-Advanced network vigorously. Indeed, a good number of our customers achieved data usage of tens of GigaBytes per day! We are delighted our network withstood this demanding test and continues to perform well. From Wednesday, May 18, over 2 weeks beyond the previously advertised Early Users’ Trial end date, we will offer our Pioneers the opportunity to migrate to one of our new Smartphone Data-Only service bundles or, for those who have already acquired a VoLTE smartphone, to start using their original Smartphone service bundle. For Pioneers, like you, who purchased our N1,000 bundle, you will be offered the opportunity to migrate to the following Data-Only Bundle at no additional cost: ntel Smartphone Data Weekly: N3,000 for 7 (seven) days On this plan, you will continue to have access to UNLIMITED Internet Access data, for 3 months, starting from 18th May 2016, along with many other benefits of being an ntel Pioneer. If, however, you would prefer to wait until you have acquired a VoLTE smartphone, we would be content to suspend your ntel service and preserve the full amount of your pre-paid credit. Your service can then be re-started, with your full pre-paid credit intact, when you notify us that you have ready access to a VoLTE smartphone. Kindly reply by email to experience@ntel.com.ng only if you wish to have your service suspended. If we do not hear from you by Wednesday, May 18, 2016, we will migrate your subscription to the above-indicated Smartphone Data service bundle. Thank you for joining ntel. Live. More. Abusule007: How can data subscription expire when I haven't even used it at all. Infact, this is the first time I'm getting network service. I know what i'm talking about. We have 8 ntel sims in my family, and that's how they started behaving after the grace period ntel gave those who initially got their sims. and then i was told by ntel that the subscription had expired. When ntel sent emails to their users, informing them that if, for some reason, they couldn't use their subscription, either due to coverage issue or lack of compatible device, that they should reply, so that their subscription could be suspended, did you reply them? By the way, did you expect your subscription to still be valid after its supposed validity period because you couldn't make use of it? Is that how it works with MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat and others? |

Abusule007: See ntel network in my phone, but the network is fluctuating when i put on the data, so i couldn't browse but very stable when i put off the data. Once your data connection starts fluctuating, it means that your plan has expired. You need to subscribe again. |
