paulabdeel: Ntel seems a still born or at best a premature baby. I reserved a line and when the lines were said to be available, I travelled down to Lagos to redeem it. I could not locate either of the two addresses I penned down. I am quite familiar with Lagos, having spent twelve years there. I later discovered many people had the same experience. I returned to base. ntel officially started issuing Sims in Lagos this Monday. But they have been operational in Abuja since April. |

thunder74: UPDATE! I went to PWD today and Charity/Military Cantonment and the network worked fine on my phone. I downloaded about 20 motivational videos within 20 minutes. I think the challenge is that they do not have coverage in many parts of Lagos. My wife called me that she was able to browse at Ogudu this morning on her way to Alausa. Well, now you know that coverage has been the problem. Hopefully, they will expand to more places. |

This is a no-brainer. If those two are the only option, then go for the Lumia 1520, and never look back. The BB10 line is already going extinct.
Already, some major app developers are pulling out on BB10, like Facebook and Whatsapp. Also, OS 10.3.3 which is due for end of this month, or latest, next month, is the last update BB10 devices will receive. |

Pangea: You are doing more for the dummy company than those who are employed to do these jobs. In the other thread I was battling with my own sim after coughing out 10k for their useless network and you came to the rescue but all was in vain because their was simply no network I just see this as trying to help each other out. That's quite a huge sum to just go to waste, though. I hope they resolve these issues soon enough. |

thunder74: Based on their advertised coverage area, YES for my wife because she works at Obalende, yet no signal. I see. You could try to get them to suspend your subscription. hard luck, man. |
Phones › Re: Ntel Lagos limited coverage (Topic Edited) by dustmalik(m): 8:09am On Jun 17, 2016 |
Pangea: dustmalik The issue is more than what you wrote up there There is simply no coverage! Even if you like, soak your sim in anointing oil after doing the above process, it will not bring coverage to your environment which the phone needs to latch on the network in the first place. Initially, i thought he said there is coverage in his location, but network just wouldn't come up on his device. That's why i gave him the above steps. |

thunder74: Like I said earlier, I read all these on their website and have tried it but still did not work. Have you used it (Boom J8) in Lagos and if yes, which location? I live in Abuja, and that's where i have been using ntel for almost 2 months now. Coverage is quite extensive around the city. Have you confirmed that there is coverage in your location? |
Phones › Re: Ntel Lagos limited coverage (Topic Edited) by dustmalik(m): 7:57am On Jun 17, 2016 |
thunder74: Thank you. I tried these processes except the creation of APN which was not stated on their site. My phone is LTE 4G compatible (Boom J8 Tecno). I even changed the settings to 4G only and still no show. Create an APN using ntel, then dial *#*#4636#*#*, then go into "Phone information", scroll down and change network type to "LTE Only". Using this method is more effective than just choosing '4G Only' in settings. I have used ntel on a boom j8, and that's the method i used to get it working. |

sheddy03: sorry, we are experiencing a minor technical hitch. we regret any inconvenience this may cause our esteem subscribers. ntel. As an ntel staff, i expect you to have at least tried to help him out. because, if i understand the OP correctly, there is coverage in his location, but network isn't coming up on his and his wife's boom j8's. That means the misunderstanding may have been on the OP's part. The guide above should help him if that is the case. |

thunder74: Good day all, I received an sms from Ntel that I can now pick my reserved lines at Awolowo Rd or Kingsway Ikoyi, Lagos. I was very happy because I was looking for something better to move away from fraudulent Spectranet (will tell you more about them later).
Yesterday, notwithstanding the rain, I drove down to Awolowo Road in Ikoyi to redeem the lines which was simple after few registration formalities. The lady asked me to recharge any amount so as to browse for unlimited cap. I paid 1k each for myself and that of my wife. As soon as I got back to the office, I received a mail and sms alerts that my sims have been activated. I immediately suspended my MTN line in the Boom J8 phone for it, behold, no show, no signal and no single data.
I put my wife's Sim too in her own same model of the phone and I excitedly inform her to browse today until she is tired when she gets to work since Obalende where she works is already covered as stated on their website. Guess what! No connection and no nothing.
To add insult upon graphic injury, I received a mail today that my two days Unlimited subscription will expire tomorrow. Is this how my 2k go waka? Their customers care line is not working. Before you take any decision, be sure that the fault is not entirely on your own part. ntel is a pure-play 4G network, which means it doesn't support 3G or 2G, therefore network may not come up when you insert the sim on a device. In fact, from personal experience, ntel network requires a valid APN in order to even bring up signal bars, which is very unusual, probably because it's a 4G only network. So, here is what you need to do; Create an apn using ntel as the apn. Now, network bars may still not come up. Next, go to your phone app and dial *#*#4636#*#*, then go into "Phone information", scroll down and change network type to "LTE Only". In most cases, as long as network is available, signal would come up. If your device has 2 sim slots, make sure to try it first on sim 1, because some 2 sim slots phones only support 4G on sim 1. |

This is the simple truth. The fact is, there have been more of these random shootings by non-Muslims on US soil than the other way round, but no one referred to those as terrorist attacks because the perpetrators were not Muslims. But all of a sudden, because this time it was by a Muslim, no one is calling him 'a psycho', or at least someone who is mentally unstable. He is being tagged a terrorist. This is the hypocrisy Muslims keep talking about. |
