tivta:Then you'll just be burning your ego/kudi/owo, when you don't have to. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
CavendishPlex:You can say that again, mehn. I've "graduated" to following real-world IPTV-user experiences on reddit; now hardly folow those limited, agenda-based youtube reviewers, lol. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
makavele:Of course there are huge differences, mehn; your rig has to be capable and appropriate, though. As in, you don't want to watch a 480p file on a 50-inch 1080p screen. That would be really inappropriate if you do, lol. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Turks:If you haven't already, always look for x.265 encoded equivalents; that should cut down file sizes by as much as 2/3rds or more in some cases, compared to x.264 for example, for the same picture quality, in either mp4 or mkv containers. I get most of mine from iptorrents, and I use a seedbox. I previously depended on Usenet, which is arguably still the grandfather of them all. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
NgeneUkwenu:See "finishing!" ![]() ![]() ![]() Honestly, NgeneUkwenu, you're always holding your own, and then some. Well done. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
iXavier:True with yours truly as well - provided it's at a reasonable price, or, even better, freeeee of charge. Ha. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
ikbnice:LOL... Your banter aside, you're a typical lifesaver to some! Yours is a good, clarification post, otherwise I don't know how anyone would have understood what the OP was trying to say. Well done. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
innobarca:Whoa... Thanks for this heads up, friend. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
I can also testify the new Glo data packages are on. See attached screen shots. (Glo is good on 4G in my area, like 98% of the time, in my estimation, so I keep using the service - either on its own, or in conjunction with my ntel unlimited data sub, which is less dependable.) ........ Dam5reey:That can be considered normal behaviour. The koko is, is it browsing/passing data without a valid subscription? If so, enjoy it while it lasts. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Ndume is now having the last laugh, hehehe. Following Ndume's reinstatement today by the court, and the court's description of his purported suspension by the Senate as irresponsible, unconstitutional, and null and void, Saraki and his henchmen will now better know the limits of their powers and brigandage over their colleagues in the chamber. The Senate was lucky the judge refused Ndume's request for N500 million in compensation for the damages done to him by his colleagues. The judge cited as reason for the refusal, the hope that it would help in the process of reconciliation in the Senate. Up next: Dogara, along with his own henchmen over in the House of Reps, should brace up for a possible similar judgement in favour of their own suspended whistle blower, Jubrin! ........ MISSCONGENIALITY:LOL! (Sorry sha.) ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
4llerbuntu:IIRC, your peculiar (no pun intended) ultra low speed on ntel has been there like forever? And that individual attention to you by ntel hadn't changed a thing? So, why would there be an appreciable improvement with another sim in your area? If I've somehow misunderstood your case however, I apologize. The point, though, is that some of us have reported a newfound 10-13mbps consistency on ntel in our areas for the past three months, or so. Prior to that (in my own case,) ntel had a terrible, terrible service for like two months. I had to abandon ship while that terrible service lasted, and rely on Glo's 4G service. With ntel now good again in my crib, I've been rolling with that truly unlimited 10-13mbps. Having said all that, I honestly think you quoted my message out of context. I was responding to a poster who reported a normal speed experience on a device, but got a less than stellar one on an Android box over the same network. I think that case was fundamentally different from yours. Believe me, with some of these Android boxes, all it takes is to flip the box upside down and the performance of the WiFi card can improve significantly. Nevertheless, we all live and learn. Once again, I sincerely hope ntel works for you somehow, especially if there are no other cost-effective options you can latch on; but I know I don't have to doubt your awareness. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
saint2ace:I do not experience such a discrepancy. Unless you're able to prove or determine otherwise, the WiFi card/dongle used by your Android box may be the problem/culprit, so you may want to ascertain that bit? ........ P34C3 ..... ... |
Dam5reey:I don't understand this statement, sorry; maybe others will? ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Dam5reey:The lower the dB value is, the stronger and better quality the signal. Full bars normally correspond to -40dB or less. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
pheesayor:That, indeed, is the right thing to do. Thanks. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Zukoslim:@pheesayor, I won't mind grabbing one of them at this price myself if that's OK? (For testing along the Lekki corridor.) ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
@EruditorII; When at first you wrote, "... stupidity behind your first paragraph...," I was like, "please ignore such language and continue reading." Then, a few words later I saw, "... you talk like you have no brains...," and I stopped reading. Sorry. Thanks, and bye. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
EruditorII:The way you stylishly weave unrelated things at every turn in this debate, is really baffling, TBH. Again, neither the NNPC Board not it's Chairman has any direct control on the NNPC Tenders' Board! Haba. And, seems you're hell-bent on giving Kachikwu all the powers he does not possess; otherwise, why would you start characterizing lawful and proper governance steps taken by Baru as "antics?" My people, aside from all these back and forth though, to me the most damaging aspect of Kachikwu's letter, is the way he's now given undeserved ammunition to social media misfits to keep singing, "$26bn contracts awarded by Baru under Buhari without due process," or, "$26bn missing under Buhari," and so on, when, in fact, no such contracts exist, no such money has been stolen or misappropriated, and due process was followed all the way with respect to actions already taken/contracts already signed. Unfortunately, those misinformation and propaganda are still being "visuvella'd" upandan, and possibly scaring away less informed investors. And to think that such things don't get easily erased from the minds and narratives of the gullible? Chai. Kachikwu misfired big time on this one; he might have in fact unwittingly harmed the government of his benefactor already, just because of his now glaringly limited knowledge and poor understanding of a parastatal over which he himself (Kachikwu) was once installed as GMD. Playing the victim at every turn is simply the nature of some people, even if they'd bring down the house while doing so. Kachikwu should simply back off this matter, as he's now appearing to do, and should in fact tender an un-reserved apology to at least his principal employer. I believe he can still be useful in the present dispensation. Today, he's already advocating that the power of the minister should in fact be wittled down/reduced, so as to allow parastatals such as the NNPC to do their work more effectively. There we go. 'Nuf said. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Deyooluv:Which service is this? Please give a full disclosure so one can check with other reviewers/users. And, other than a more complete channels lineup, have you factored in the additional spend on data that's required before saying the service you resell is cheaper than DS/TSTV all-in? (I'll suggest you factor in, say, ₦10-18k/month for unlimited, 24/7, 10-20mbps data spend for those amongst us lucky to have access to such data services, then please revert.) ........ CavendishPlex:Well put. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
hancock:Thanks for this helpful chip in, hancock. Your typical ping? Which is your own area? (Sorry if you stated these elsewhere and I missed the info.) ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
modash:This is helpful. Thanks. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
hancock:Could you please also respond to the questions I just posted/posed to modash/olakunle10 before this? TIA. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
modash:Thanks for sharing this buyer-beware, real world experience with tizeti. 1. What download speeds are you able to get on a consistent basis? 2. What's your observed average ping time? 3. Is the service up solid for like 95% of the time in any 24/7 cycle? (These three attributes together can usually give one a pretty good idea of the quality of a service, IMO.) Thanks in advance for your response. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
CeterisXVII:Brilliant. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
Ekwensu101:Epic response! ![]() ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
yakbauer:Whoa... If the NNPC politics between Kachikwu and Baru as you've stated here are true, even if half true, then this opens a whole new dimension to the personalities of the two main actors, especially Kachikwu. Thanks for posting. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
...and counting... Dear Nairalanders; I can't remember when this axis ever had public electric power supply issue this bad! The most that is now supplied is for anything between five minutes to one hour once in like three days! And, the fact that power comes on sporadically, even if fleetingly like that, to me shows that the severe outages are most probably not due to DISCO equipment malfunction. Still, amidst all of this, there has been no public statement or communication from the concerned DISCO to we end users that I'm aware of. Before this wàhálà started, the axis was getting about 16 hours per day of mostly clean and steady power supplies. Anyones also experiencing this problem? If anyone has a relevant goto experience, link, officials or phone numbers through which this type of issues in this particular area could be solved, kindly share. Thanks, All. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
SacBag:Ping time does not have any effect on attainable download speeds. The lower ping is, however, the easier it is to receive live content without buffering. Examples of live contents are: real time TV broadcasts, and playing games over a network. Hope that helps a bit. i use Tizeti wifi.com.ng too and i stream a lot with little or no buffering. Im hoping you dont have a strong connection to their base station, hence the buffering
The main issue is "did his response address the issues raised against him in Kachikwu's memo?" My submission is that it did, and those responses even made Kachikwu end up with egg on his face. Even the explanation Baru gave shows how each step was followed, as well as how the financing and approvals for the contracts were obtained. If Kachikwu had gone through the processes deployed in awarding each contract and found flaws in them, he would have had a better case. Kachikwu needs to manage his staff better, and drop his ego.
