This is akin to last minute preparation before a major exam(revision). GEJ may have been clueless and guilty of many of the accusation by the opposition party but his last minute wisdom and decisive action will most definitely make a difference.

That is not wisdom my friend,that is cheating if you will be honest with yourself. changing the rules at the middle of the game is cheating, postponing exams because your favourite student isnt ready for the exam is cheating, what if Buhari says he is not ready next month when he sees the tide is against him,will you call it wisdom? will you accept it then? Notice that politicians will deliberately not mention the exact numbers of PVC collected in various state,rather they will quote the percentage collection. May i remind you that 80% collection rate in Borno will amount to approximately about 900K people while 40% collected PVC in lagos is still higher about 2 million people. so obiviously its easier to attain 80% in a population of 1 million,than a population of 5 million registered voters.

Are you sane? Buhari served over 30 years in the military and rose to the position of a General. even without campaign he is entitled to military protection and their are soldiers guarding him. compare to GEJ, If he was`nt president ,only Asari Dokubo will guard and protect him.

JEGA has been accused of receiving 15 laptops to assist the North in their registration
He has been accused of conniving with the powers that be in the North to rig the election in Buhari's favour, hence the need for the recent reshuffling of state resident commissioners. So that the 'born to rules' will take over again.

JEGA as been accused of relaxing the rules on collection of PVC's in the North by making use of the village heads to distribute some, hence the reason while the troubled states in the North will record higher % in collection more than some peaceful states in the South.

JEGA has been accused of denying the Ibos of their PVC's as it ws on GMB's perception that because of his role during the Biafran war, that Ibos are gearing to pay him back. He claimed it was due to loss of data.

Imagine how many people that have been disenfranchised due to lack of personnel during this last registration in the South. Were as, a close friend of mine in the North had himself registered with out much stress. A situation were a polling station serving the almighty UNIBEN community was moved to merge with another polling station (Olukwu primary school) some kilometres away from the school with only one person manning the only laptop for the registration. The crowd there as at the last day was something else.
Upon all the allegations, JEGA has not debunked any.
And l ask, truly has JEGA been compromised? No wonder the APC has been agitating for the election to hold as planned no matter what the situation is, after all, they have perfected their game plan.
In fact, l suspect international conspiracy considering US and UK's comment on the election postponement.
This is our country and we will build it ourselves.

I want to think that it should be someone else reacting as above. This is because the statement that all security forces in Nigeria can not guarantee security in Nigeria is unfounded and not true. What the heads of security said is that with the ongoing military campaign in the north east, security for elections can not be guaranteed NOT that security of the country on a normal day can not be guaranteed. Political actors and indeed Nigerians should learn how not to drag the military into politics or unnecessarily heat up the polity. I believe what INEC and indeed all well meaning Nigerians want is free, fair, credible and peaceful elections. Not the type where there may be few security around and political thugs will hijack ballot boxes/papers or force persons to vote against their wishes/free will. There should be adequate security for INEC personnel, election materials, observers and voters. Let the real votes count. NO to rigging of any sort

This election postponement is most embarrassing and a testament that Preofessor Attahiru Jega is an incompetent and clueless dude just like the President. This is the first time since we returned to democracy that the INEC Boss will openly take orders from the NSA, the Military and members of pro-PDP as regards election scheduling and rescheduling. Since when has the Military activities determines elections scheduling? The Electoral Act and the Constitution did not say NSA, Military and INEC should determine election date. Even if there is crises in a part of the country, Section 26(1) of the Electoral Act 2010 (amended) permit INEC to hold election in the peaceful area and reschedule for the trouble zone at a convenient date. Why can't Jega invoke this section and exclude Gombe, Borno, Adamawa and Yobe from Feb 14 and Feb 28 poll until March 28 and Aprill 11 respectively? Since when do we need the Military for election? What is the Statutory duties of the Police, the NSCDC, and by extension the DSS with respect to internal security? If personnels are not enough then why not bring in other paramilitary to assist? Must it be the Military? Was the Military used in 2003, 2007 and 2011 election? Militarisation started from Edo 2012,then Ondo(2012), Anambra(2011), Osun and Ekiti(2014) Gubernatorial contests. When did the Military become statutory responsible for internal security? The letter of the Chief of Defense State that was communicated to Jega through NSA Sambo Dasuki is treachery and unfortunate. Jega's announcement yesternight only confirmed that he doesn't know what he is doing. This is a shame, our democracy has been raped.

Jega is a honorable man, nobody, I repeat nobody would have taken a different decision base on the letter written by the security chiefs. I believe the security chief are playing the script for the government.
Jega by that letter has been placed between the devil and the deep blue sea. But he took the most logical decision.
Imagine Jega saying election must hold, he will be held accountable for any harm done to the over 600 INEC staff, and might be successfully sued for the death of anyone during the election because "he has been given the security report ".we nigerians now have a duty to stand by him and ensure by March this clueless president is told we the people will decide who will be our president
This type of blackmail happens sometimes in Global cooperation where safety report implications is used to arm twist a certain decision. Once the safety first rule is invoked, your hands are tied, you have no other option than to comply else any infraction you will be held accountable

The bottom line is that this postponement is to give GEJ the option of using the court to disqualify Buhari base on certificate and perjury claim.

How can you tell us previously that governance cannot be suspended by 1 hour to mourn hundreds of nigerians killed in abuja explosion, and go dancing hours after and same government now cancels election because of insurgency, is that not playing into the hands of Boko haram? Within the last one week nnpc audit reports confirm massive corruption, leaked tape of military being used to undermine election, empowerment of niger delta militant etc, if these is not enough to vote out this government I wonder what will. #marchonforbuhari

May God see him through this difficult assignment successfully. JEGA has always been a honorable man of high intellect and integrity. He has tried his best over the years to reduce the rate at which people can rig. PDP has seen the handwriting on the wall, it will be difficult for them to rig and Jega will not compromise and public opinion is against them.
