SportsRe: NFF President Aminu Maigari Arrested by SSS by dvee2:
The FG thinks they are smart, they waited for the FIFA women world cup to finish sensing the backlash from fans if FIFA baned Nigeria from participation. FIFA have clearly stated government should hands off football association matters. I do not like Maigari and our FA smells corruption everywhere. but this baby minister is going about it the wrong way. FIFA will ban Nigeria for interferance for 4 years and its our football that will surfer. Mr minister just stop funding the NFA let them source for their money. Find another indirect means of removing this man as its obvious thats the target, but for Godsake dont destroy our football. its the only thing that binds us together.

Never in the history of our nation have we seen such brazenly displayed act of political abracadabra. When the centre is weak even the limbless will come to dance.
PoliticsRe: 480 Nigerian Soldiers Flee To Cameroon by dvee2: 8:10pm On Aug 25, 2014
MissMeiya: He has zero traits of leadership.

- quick decision making
- direct and constant communication with the public
- inspirational speaking (speeches, eye contact, strength of voice, concise campaign-able points, etc.)
- inspirational looks (countenance, posture, etc.)
- uniting instead of dividing
- being seen as a force instead of a victim
- taking responsibility for everything, no matter who was directly responsible, as long as it happened under his watch
- keeping promises instead of making empty boasts
- taking action instead of making weak accusations

Seriously, I could go on. He has none. Nothing.

I don't have anything against him personally. I'm just utterly underwhelmed by him. He is not a leader. And Nigeria does not need a spineless puppet at its helm.

Even if the leader was taking Nigeria in the wrong direction, at least they would be leading Nigeria somewhere! He's just sitting and watching. No wonder people are beginning to call him Nero.

From being brazenly occupied and attacked by terrorists (to the extent that the PRESIDENT was AFRAID to set foot in part of his own country!), to part of the country being declared under control of a terrorist group? And it's been 5 years? And the man is in Germany chatting with a football team in Canada?
I restate one very important point, BEING SEEN AS A FORCE INSTEAD OF A VICTIM. Believe me most of his supporters genuinely see him as a victim, indirectly placing him at a position of weakness

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram's Latest Propaganda War: Hoisting Of Flags. by dvee2: 1:11pm On Aug 24, 2014
The recent kidnapped of 35 Nigerian Police personnel from their training ground confirmed by the Nigerian police is also a propaganda by Boko haram? Not until you view boko haram as a global terrorist phenomenon currently sweeping most part of the world. Not until you stop blaming opposition, Not until you phase out the delusion that boko haram attack is an attack on Jonathan not an attack on nigeria , you will continue to chase shadows.
PoliticsRe: 35 Police Officers Missing After Borno Insurgency Attack by dvee2: 3:38am On Aug 24, 2014
This story is all around international media since days ago only now will they come out to confirm it. When we say something is wrong with this government people say it's politics.
How can a Police major training institution in a boko haram infested area not be fortified until after double attacks and several missing?
What happened to the military reinforcement in a state with boko haram during the so called several hours attack? How long will we continue to lie to ourselves that we are not winning this war and change our strategy, refinance and boost the morale of our military on ground not the looters superior commandas?
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Sick, Flown to Germany for Urgent Medical Treatment by dvee2: 8:05pm On Aug 23, 2014
The truth is that in this 21st century and power of Internet, citizens must take responsibility and decide their future by voting out corrupt politicians. This will send the right message to the incoming ones that once they mess up PDP or ACN, they will be booted out. But here, we are told to wait, not to start doing this now that it's their turn. Maybe 2019, we can start holding our leaders accountable. But truth be told, if really he travel out for medical checks, in a saner clime, this will cost him reelection.

erico2k2: Let me say something here, where ever I live, i would always be a Nigerian, I dont suffer that inferiority complex most people do, I will Rep 9ja even if I live in the moon, so if I go to work and lock myself up and call 9ja 24/7 what has that got to do with anything?Like I told one of my colleague at work, i dont live in the Uk, I just work here, I live in 9ja.I dont know howmany times a year you go back 9ja, but i do at least every 4th month, you wont believe how much some sectors have improved, them project listed where never heard of B4 GEJ, every leader is facing criticism, even OBAMA.I have seen ur mind is set to reject anything positive Im going to say as you have rightfully picked out teh Ongoing project and failed to site the completed ones as if you did not see them,if you check the last link you will notice it comes out state by state, so check ur state and see wa gwan there, Also like I told one poster on here B4, if you feel GEJ is the worst Leader we ever had I challenge you to name one i n the past that was better??
You keep repeating project and sectors improving, list them. its not about coming to nija , can you list the projects and the sectors? can you equate them with the hundreds of billions of dollers generated?
HealthRe: Doctors Hit Lagos Streets To Protest Mass Sack (PHOTOS) by dvee2: 5:45pm On Aug 20, 2014
datribune: U ar guilty of what people accuse GEJ of doing - blaming d opposition. It's amazing dat u don't seem to know dat as it stands in today's nigeria, d integrity of d nigerian doctor is at its lowest ebb. I'm not sure i've ever supported GEJ on dis forum, but I'm absolutely wit him on dis one. Foi, d street chemist has bcom more relevant & does more 4 d average nigerian than d overhyped, arrogant, always-on-strike, poorly trained nigerian doctor who wit his archaic, 2nd rate training is not better than a glorified first aider wit an overblown sense of self-importance. These chemists along wit d alternative healers hav always stood by & taken care of d nigerian people when dis greedy guys go on their conscienceless, murderous, never-ending strikes.
Your comment alone have exposed how shallow and narrow your understanding of the subject is, hence no need arguing with you. We are talking about ramifications on total health care, you are talking about chemist, are you serious?

walchizmo: So sad to see the hatred people have for drs. Hopefully, the eventual outcome of this struggle will end of benefitting ALL, including the haters.- a functional health insurance for all, Drs who are motivated, skilled with better equipped hospitals and staff.
Lol I laugh at people who do not understand what is going on. People do not hate doctors, what you are seeing is that you are dealing with a president who had recruited and paid legions to crush whatever discuss against him online. So you will be naive to assume that the opinion here represent the general public, far from it. Majority do not think through the merit or demerits of this action, what they are concerned with is how does this action affect s the chances of their paymaster vis a vis 2015 election.

thepathologist: u will swallow ur vomit. accident or serious illness is awaiting u or ur family members. then u would beg educated fools to rescue you.
Don't mind him, some people just view the strike in terms of GEJ s ambition, 2015 election and our son does no wrong. The ramifications of this action is not fully thought through.
HealthRe: Government Vows Not To Recall Sacked Doctors by dvee2: 6:23am On Aug 17, 2014
lrguru: brother, I am not happy, but hey life must go on! The doctors abandoned their place of work courtesy of frivolous reason and went on strike, what do u want us to do? FG has begged them to go to work, they refuse, if this sack was not initiated they will remain on strike prolly till december. Bros jobless people are prayin for that position and since the people employed to handle the sick people/ patients swore never to anymore, the govt will have no other option than to replace them with people who are willin to work, and chairman, the wonderful news is that they will still be replaced by Nigerians. That in simple term is called displacement
My friend, I am not a doctor. But it's not as simple as that. You cannot replace experience like that, that will be tantamount to playing with people life. If you sack all the pilot and ask trainee copilot to run the plane I don't think you will agree to be a passenger. We have seen this happened before, FG sacked all university lecturers, leading to mass exodus of experience academics, the result is what you see in our tertiary institutions now. This government have bad advisers, industrial action happens, negotiate.

I knew something ain't right with the efficient way Labaran Maku and the new health minister are going about this. I was wondering this people have never been effective, how come they are getting it right this time with timely interventions and proactiveness? alas, they are up to their usual deception. The consequences for this type of action is that people who get new infections will hide and infect others in the process.

cliffm43: past youth leaders indeed....useless Nigerians, only an idiot will say something against GEJ......anyway,talk is free....no GEJ 2015,no Nigeria.....GOODLUCK JONATHAN FOR 2015..............we don't need that useless fool BUHARI.who doesn't want to rest and make way for others,,,,is he the only man that own Nigeria??why all the past leaders are interested in the seat of power?we are over 200 millions, only four peoples want to be in the seat of power
My friend let me be honest with you. GEJ will most likely win the election because of the incumbency factor in Nigeria. However, if he loses, there is nothing u or anybody can do. Those saying its the end of nigeria if he lost are babies. The Nigerian army will just massacre any militants unrest just like they did before. I have pictures of milliant bodies floating on the delta river. The irony is that they will make a Niger Deltan colonel as the commandant of the operation, supported by Niger Deltan settled chiefs. So campaign for GEJ and rig for him if you want. But if he loses, Nigeria life goes on, u will be crushed simple, like boko boys will soon be crushed

huptin: Now i have serious doubt about the competence of the present chief of Army staff, Things were not so bad during the time of Ihejirika. I dont know why GEJ appointed him in the first instance.
How can u say u don't know why GEJ appointed him? Every body knows it's because he is a Niger Deltan, because of fear of coup, so he retired his competent superior s and appointed him

Emeca: At this very moment, this country is not worth dying for.

If these soldiers protest, they would be court-martialled, shuld they abandon their duties, a heavier punishment awaits them. The only option available is to go fight a heavily-armed enemy with inferior weapons; not dat the country is poor and cannot afford better weapons but because of corruption and uncaring attitude by those at d helm.

I feel the pain of these women. This is d much they can do to try change the situation.
Look at you, there is no corruption in Nigeria. Ordinary stealing you call it corrupting.

PoliticsRe: What Happened To The Nigerian Army . by dvee2: 7:45am On Jul 27, 2014
What happens to Nigeria Army is simple, Ethnicity and politics. When Obama took over power from Republican s, he kept the performing secretary of defence even though he was a Republican assigned. Obama only cares about his performance. BUT HERE IN NIGERIA, ONCE A NEW PRESIDENT COMES INTO POWER, HE DOESN'T TRUST ANY SITTING CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF. FOR FEAR OF COUP, THE PRESIDENT WILL BE FORCED TO CHANGE HIM WITH SOMEONE FROM HIS CLAN. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE PERSON IS A JUNIOR OFFICER, THEY WILL RETIRE ALL THE PROFESSIONAL OFFICERS ABOVE HIM TO PAVE WAY FOR HIS BROTHER TO BE COAS, AS GEJ DID FOR MIMIMA. This erodes professionalism that the force is well known for, and subsequently breeds division and politics.

In saner climes, this dude should be cooling his ass in jail. But Instead he is being rewarded with billion dollar contract, why won't he regurgitate rubbish each time he speaks? Is this not the same man that took arm against his country claiming he was fighting for Niger Delta? the niger-delta is still under develop, impoverished and scattered, yet he took his billions to Benin republic. Beware, he will soon come back to contest for office, that's the kind of country we have become. SIC

azimibraun: What a cursed country!!! Ezekwesili's mistake was to think that Nigeria has over 170million people little did she know we have jst a few uman beigns and over 169 million animals as humans in nigeria. Girls have been kidnapped, a whole lot of us are pained by it. A whole lot of us cannot have our voices heard, the woman's whose voice cld be heard who can as well pretend not to care, is helping those parents and kidnapped kids and a few decent Nigerians keep the flame burning and all this honourable woman gets is Insult, curses and mockery. Now it is bin said that she is looking for a job. Which Nigerian president became president by leading a street protest or struggle, which position can she be looking for? Except Nigerians are indirectly sayin we are due for a female president but afraid to gv a woman the chance if not the only thing that woman cld get in Nigeria with her status is President or Vice president. I don't knw how Education and common sense has failed my ppl dis bad. Danm Nigeria!!! Danm!!!
This is where it hits me most. Believe me i dont care who becomes president of Nigeria obviously because my vote will not count. but i very much care and get sickened to my bone marrow when rare people like Ezekwesili who ornarily in a sane society will be applauded is being castigated. The same Nigerians she is fighting for are accussing her falsely for standing up for their right. We deserve the type of leaders we have. The Chibok girls would have since been forgotten if not for her, that was what the FG wish for.

For those who find this too long to read, here is a summary.
She asked the President to wake up from sleep, he is surrounding himself with Idi_ots as advisers,He shouldn't have paid 1 million dollers to that foreign PR group. that even though there are critics against his government, not all of them are planning for his downfall and should be silenced. That yes some people said they will make the country ungovernable, but not every of his failure is their fault. He can win by working hard on developments. That he shouldn't be scared of the opposition, they are not formidable yet because the person that can defeat him amongst them will never be given the ticket. That he should be brave and travel to Borno as commander in chief to visit not only chibok girls, but the murdered 50 boys also. And finally, he should be president of Nigeria not clannish president. Finally not every northerner is a terrorist, he should stop the harassment of people across nigeria, not in his name. Finally no more committees please.
