The year 2023 is still in its early months, and Nigerians are already complaining about the hardship in the country. Fuel scarcity started late in January and has persisted despite the government's repeated claims that it had enough petroleum products in stock. In many parts of the country, operators of fueling stations sold it at prices higher than the government's pump price, using the situation of the country to extort money from the buyers. On the other hand, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) redesigned the 200, 500, and 1000 naira notes last year and gave a deadline of 31st January 2023 for swapping the notes. However, the new notes did not go into circulation till the last week of the deadline causing a shift in focus from fuel to cash. Sadly, the CBN had mopped up the bulk of the old naira notes and has refused to make the new notes available. The CBN must come out clean on this matter, and the banks need to support the apex bank to make this policy work. How can the banks claim they don't have new notes despite claims by CBN that there are enough new notes in circulation? Both cannot be right; Nigerians require an explanation for this. With the way things are operated in Nigeria are we going to come out of this situation? Join our talk on Dysh |

WHAT NOT TO DO Many products claim to "boost" the immune system. But given the complex interplay between the cells in our bodies, it's not really possible to "boost" just one part of the immune system. And even if it was possible, "boosting" one aspect of your immune system can set off bad reactions by upsetting the delicate balance that makes up our bodies. For instance, "boosting" the immune system's ability to fight infection could also "boost" other aspects, such as inflammation, that could harm normal tissue. It is true that the immune system relies on vitamins and minerals to perform its tasks. But there is no solid evidence that taking vitamins and mineral supplements will improve its functioning. Firstly, some vitamins, such as vitamin A, D, E and K, are fat-soluble and are stored in the body. It is, therefore, possible to have levels that are too high, which can cause its own problems. For instance, too-high levels of vitamin D can cause kidney stones, constipation and high blood pressure. Too much vitamin A or iron can cause damage to the liver and other organs. Secondly, nutrients should not be seen as independent components. Rather they should be seen as parts of a whole. Many supplements can interact negatively with other supplements and even with medication. For instance, vitamin K can reduce the ability of the blood thinner warfarin to prevent blood clots. in October 2020, some young Nigerians started the #EndSARS movement to say "enough is enough" to police brutality and the wrong actions of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). But, even though the authorities promised to look into it and hold people accountable, nothing happened. The protests were a big deal and showed that we could change things up with police reform and democratic action in Nigeria. Did you know that over half of the people registered to vote in Nigeria are between 18 and 35? That's a huge deal! If we come together and make moves, we could shake things up and bring some real democracy to the 2023 election. So come join our Dysh community to get the straight-up facts and talk about what needs to be changed in our country! Hey there, have you heard about the latest showdown in the world of technology? It's ChatGPT vs Bard - two conversational AI models developed by OpenAI and Google, respectively. These models are changing the game of online information access by providing accurate and personalized responses to complex queries using natural language processing. ChatGPT has been making waves recently, thanks to its ability to understand the nuances of human language and provide immediate answers to users' questions. Microsoft invested a whopping $10 billion in OpenAI, which demonstrates the growing significance of these AI models in the tech industry. But Google isn't sitting still either. They're taking on the challenge with Bard, and also investing in Anthropic, another OpenAI rival that's developed a ChatGPT competitor called Claude. The race for dominance in the conversational AI market is heating up. While ChatGPT and Bard offer great advantages over traditional search engines, there are still concerns about privacy, security, and accuracy that need to be addressed. That's why it's important to stay informed and seek out reliable sources of information. If you want to learn more about ChatGPT and other AI models, consider joining Dysh, a community that provides only trustworthy and reliable content. Alright, people, hold on to your hats because it's about to get political up in here! As the 2023 elections approach, things are starting to heat up in Nigeria. The big guns are coming out, with former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu, former Anambra state governor Peter Obi, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar all throwing their hats into the presidential race. But it's not just the presidential race that's going to be interesting. The governorship elections in states like Lagos, Rivers, and Kano are also going to be closely watched. These states are some of the most populous and economically important in the country, so whoever comes out on top could have a big impact on the future of Nigeria. Of course, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Nigeria is facing some serious challenges right now, from insecurity to economic instability to political tensions. There's been a surge in terrorist attacks, banditry, and kidnappings, particularly in the northern and central regions, which has led to widespread insecurity and fear among Nigerians. And let's not forget about the economy, which has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and falling oil prices. Nigeria relies heavily on oil exports, which account for over 90% of its foreign exchange earnings. With global oil prices declining, the government has struggled to keep things afloat, which has led to inflation, high unemployment, and a decline in living standards for many Nigerians. But despite all these challenges, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerians that it's committed to ensuring a credible and transparent election process. The government has also been making efforts to address the security challenges, and there are hopes that things will improve by the time the elections roll around. So, my fellow Nigerians, when the time comes to vote, make sure you vote for a change in Nigeria. And if you want to stay up-to-date on all the latest election news, make sure you join the Dysh community of political enthusiasts. Together, we can make a difference! Dysh Community

With the Naira scarcity, fuel scarcity everything scarcity who will you vote for in this time of recession? In a recent report, statistics show that nearly 89% of Nigerians felt that the country was heading in the wrong direction, and 77% were dissatisfied with the way their democracy has been performing. Regardless, there are a few reasons to be hopeful that future polls will be better than the ones from the 2019 election. Other events require urgent attention, such as the possibility of chaos brought on by assaults on election equipment or a sizable portion of Nigerian voters concluding that it is just unsafe to cast a ballot on election day. Is it unsafe to vote? Nigerian citizens will elect the country's leaders, but outside players, such as the US, should continue to make it clear that anybody who uses fear as a weapon to subvert democracy may be subject to targeted penalties. Furthermore, transparent, democratic administration does not result from elections alone. All citizens must be subject to the law, and this is vital. New regulations concerning openness and political finance, however, are currently moot due to impunity. The deaths at the 2020 Lekki toll gate were unpunished(ENDSARS)and for years, the theft of resources that might have been used to help the Nigerian people have been made possible by the same impunity. Any newly elected administration, regardless of how smoothly the election goes, will have to deal with this enormous obstacle to establishing the sort of democracy that will benefit Nigerians. With that said, out of all the prospective candidates who will you vote for the presidential seat? election2023 Nigeriavotes

Information source: Dysh Media Related source: Everything you need to know to cast your vote for the Nigerian 2023 Election |

It seems that fashion trends are getting weirder and weirder, from Loewe's Spring-Summer 2023 Minnie Mouse stilettos to Balenciaga's Hummer Derby clown-like loafers. This time, a pair of unique shoes has joined the list of odd fashion trends; The Big Red Boots. New York-based art collective MSCHF, the same group that designed Lil Nas X's satan sneakers and the expensive Birkinstocks sandals made from Hermès Birkin bags, designed these giant rubber boots. They are cartoonish, ridiculously oversized, and bear a striking resemblance to the shoes worn by the Japanese manga character Astro Boy.
