BUT IF you call yourself a Christian (or man of God) and you tell people that tithes (10%) are compulsory

and non-payment means a "devourer" is against you and God is offended at you, then you are a thief and not likely Christian.

If you preach that the giving of such must be to the church ALONE, you are a thief.

That is non-negotiable with me because it is counter to the Word. And ALL MEN are below/under the Word no matter who they are!


. . . I am not sorry to say the Bible is there for anyone to see how Jesus spoke to those who followed Him around looking for ways to trip Him up.

And the terms the Apostles used to describe those who turned the Gospel to human gain are still there for us to see.

Drugs raid on Nigerian diplomat's home after heating is turned up

Scotland Yard has admitted that police raided the Hendon home of a diplomat attached to the Nigerian High Commission after the warmth given off from his heating system was mistaken for signs of a cannabis factory.

Officers searched the house of the Commissioner's deputy head of political affairs, Ikeczukwu Nwokike, after a helicopter using thermal imaging equipment spotted what appeared to be a higher than normal heat coming from the roof.

Drugs farms often use high-powered lights which give off huge amounts of heat to aid the growth of the illegal crop.

Police obtained a search warrant and raided Mr Nwokike's home, apparently not having checked the identity of the occupant.

It is not known if the official was home at the time. Police found no drugs and traced the heat source to the central heating system.

An insider said the raid took place during a cold spell earlier this month and the central heating in the house was turned up to the maximum.

A police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm a warrant to search for cannabis plants was executed at a home in north London on June 17 by officers acting on information from the Met air support unit.

"There were no drugs found and no arrests made. Further inquiries traced the heat source to the heating system.”

A spokesman for the Nigerian High Commission said that although the operation could have been interpreted as a violation of diplomatic conventions, the High Commission would not be taking the matter to the “extreme”.

He added: “We accept the explanation that the helicopter detected something but that these things don't necessarily work with fine precision.”

Police regularly use the force's helicopter to trace cannabis factories. Last year patrols identified 160 houses as possible cannabis factories, of which 113 were found to be growing the drug under “hydroponic conditions”.

About £13.5 million worth of cannabis was seized in raids on cannabis factories in London.

If 10% is all you can give, nothing wrong with that but no one should equally condemn folks who can give more or less, nowhere did the Bible tell us to give a simple %, We are asked repeatedly to give as the Spirit leads us not in the way it is MOSTLY preached these days starting right here in the USA to Nigeria where it's been taken to a higher level.

I have standards below which I do not operate so don't expect equal sarcasm from this side, I don't do stuff because others are doing it neither do I feel a need to dwell on my giving, I just refuse to believe the way they go about it, I believe we still love you all with the love of God.

That was a momentary emotional outburst (i.e. emotion is energy in motion)

Emotion deals with feelings, experiences (i.e. good or bad ones) etc

If not checked emotions often clouds ones actions or decision (i.e. a conclusion of an issue can get influenced by emotion)

Abraham's tithe had nothing to do with a pre-existing law but everything to do with a grateful heart and a love for God.

Note that Abraham was moved to give the tithe and was not forced or compelled.

The Isralites Levitical tithe needed the schoolmaster (i.e. the Laws of Moses) to justify tithes and make it mandatory

Where the protagonists have a valid case with the perpetrators' methods of obtaining & flaunting their shameful gains

But we know giving of tithes was around before the law (i.e. the Schoolmaster) and that free will offering was before giving of tithes

Jesus taught us to give. The New Testament admonishes us to give.

From the law (i.e. the Schoolmaster) we have the understanding that the purpose of tithing is for:

1) Supporting the work of God and the Kingdom of Heaven

The absence of any direct command in the NT to pay tithes does not relieve saints of the great privilege of giving, or does it?

Tithe serves a helpful hint of where a dedicated believer could start giving from.

The act itself is not to fulfil the law (i.e. satisfy the Schoolmaster)

but rather a display acknowledging God as the one that provides and gives power to get or make wealth . . .

Passing the humility test  (i.e  lofty, prideful or arrogant when successful test).

Moses' Deu 8:17-18 NIV to the stiffed-neck Isralites:
¹⁷You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me."

¹⁸But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth,

and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

The full circle moment: free will offering >> tithe >> free will offering . . . back to square one.
