AsSabirin: How is he a thief, so because one holds a public office he automatically becomes a thief? Check your reasoning. What is a civil servant paid that will empower him to buy a $400,000 car? ![]() |
Jakumo: Generally speaking, Lebanese and Indians immigrants to Nigeria are well connected to the Hausa Fulani oil-block thieves who have been quietly bleeding the nation dry for decades, and so those camel-jockeys get their grasping paws stuck DEEP in the national treasury virtually the instant they show up in Nigeria, which is a privilege NOT open to your average Nigerian university graduate, despite your claim to the contrary.Even in the most affluent of countries these cars sell in single digits. Not only are they expensive, they are also impractical for most of our cities. All these may not even be an issue if the wealth is honestly made. But then you add the killer blow that they belong to the rich elite kids whose parents have looted their populace dry. And who live in an environment where some few kilometers away people live in abject poverty and have resorted to blowing their selves up. It is distasteful. |
Joel3: in my vision I saw boko haram plans to attack edo state. This is not joke its currently been plan. My visions are real they do come through. You need a dose of potent ACT antimalarial. Also ensure you are adequately hydrated. |
Obiano UNRATED but so far 6/10 Chime 6/10 Rochas 4/10 T.A. Orji 0/10 Akpabio 5.5/10 |
Disgusting. |
I love cars... I mean I am a crazy fan of super cars, but I will not drool over this thread knowing that millions of northerners are in penury and crisis while their elites and kids live in another world. To me it is sickening. |
I think they are trying to preserve the pristine state of the landscape. The parent company being South African, I trust they will succeed.

I think this may have been posted before, and I don't know the progress so far, but these are some of the major roads under construction.

Some pics from Enugu lifestyle and golf city (centenary city). Looks like some grassing of the golf courses are on already I just love how the city merges with nature.

prophetone: This is absurd considering Northern Nigeria is the region with the LEAST proliferation of wealth sourced from ritual killings, kidnapping, oil bunkering and drug trafficking. These four vices account for wealth of the richest people in the SS/SE region undoubtedly and these are some of the most sub-human practices possible on earth in the quest for wealth. The only genuine guilt of northern wealth as postulated by YOU are the looted funds from the national treasury which is a crime committed by all Nigerian leaders past and present regardless of region or ethnic group. My major problem with the north is the very marked gap between the rich and poor. No where else in the country is that way. The oil bunkerers you mentioned are criminal opportunists who are on a level playing ground with the rest of the populace. They did not come from a stock of predetermined elites. The oil bunkering analogy is even a bit off considering that they make money from their environment. Of course it is not justified. My problem with the north is that it is almost impossible to breakaway from poverty. While it is difficult in other regions, it is at least achievable via hard work. For the north it seems the poor have imbibed and accepted their fate and totally lack the will or even the desire to try to breakaway. They see the elites as gods. That is what breeds extremism. |
That is not an easy fit Kudos |
All known Ebola victims are buried or cremated in the facility. It is most unlikely that he died of Ebola. But the high alert is very necessary |
Northern Nigeria epitomizes the lowest grade of human existence. Where the majority are living in heart breaking abject penury and the elites who are "born to rule" living in the most lavish of luxuries. I have absolutely no respect for the northern elite or an iota of envy for their wealth mostly acquired over years of unchecked looting of the national treasury. There are however a handful who have genuinely made their money. |
citizenisb: Mod, please why can't this make front page, is the news not important or as usual you are behaving like lapdogs for politicians/ government and vetting what is acceptable for the front page.It will not make front page until it is confirmed. For now it is just speculation. |
Ekiti wey small like football pitch na him this jweed dey divide. |
gratiaeo: The same mistake is about to repeat in Lagos. When almost 70% of the land is in the hand of the foreigners. Without rigging and election malpractice Yoruba will struggle to win Lagos state governorship election.Very true. Anyway Lagos is no man's land. |
eeeeeee: OP thanks I never knew Ilorin was once a Yoruba town, I've always thought it to be a Fulani enclave. ![]() |
Hmm This is scary, but the info is so vague. |
APC is an infection ![]() N16 billion market! At Mgbidi when Onitsha is just a few minutes away. What Imo needs is manufacturing industries, not markets. What are they going to sell there? Bombs? |
suwailad: i dont get it, the girls at 18 and 10 were driving a HONDA CRV in Katsina? You can only find that in places like Port Harcourt. you mean almajiri girls riding honda crv, wondersThat is why your people need quota system. The person driving the vehicle wasn't mentioned specifically. They were in the company of a male named Iliya whose age is undisclosed and could have been the driver. Besides at 18 driving is perfectly legal. |
kobonaire: yes but what is common about all those auto manufacturers?? .... they design/engineer/build engines. Yes for certain models they may source an engine elsewhere but they can all fundamentally design and manufacture an engine.Your comments totally say otherwise. kobonaire: Oh really? They made the Innoson engine in your village? Wonderful.... what are you guys going to do next, build the Airbus 380 engine?Anyway appreciate what you have even if it is not Femison. Bye. |
SAHARA REPORTERS? ![]() I'll pass. Continues sipping juice.
|
kobonaire: Please don't be an imbécile. Peugeot, Toyota, Ford etc etc all make their own engines, design their own models. Let us not even debate that. You are not entirely right not all cars brands have their engines made by the parent companies. In fact that trend is fast changing. Please do some research. Do you know that Nissan truck diesel engines (eg the Frontier diesel) are made by Cummings? The exact same company that makes Innoson truck engines. Do you know that some of the pioneer Peugeot Crossovers like 4007 and 4008 have their engines and transmissions made by Mitsubishi, the exact same company that makes Innoson sedan and SUV engines? Do you know that Rover non luxury sedan engines were made by Honda? The list goes on and on ... Please learn to appreciate what you have, if not others will reap the benefits and leave you empty handed. |
Firefire: No concoction.I sincerely think it is food for thought. |
Abagworo: Because Imo Government is not a propaganda type. Most pictures of Akwa Ibom you get are from government propaganda websites taken from helicopter with high definition cameras. The picture of Enugu is from Spyder88 who lives in Enugu with his phone and not from government propaganda hence lack of high definition pictures. Nigerians generally lack that urge to snap pictures. At a stage someone living in Owerri took several pictures and populated this thread but all was lost to the Nairaland hacking. I sure will visit Imo State and spend some days without missing pictures. At least the pictures of Oguta I took when Justice Oputa died is on this thread. Owerri as a city does not look like Nigeria at all. The only problem is open drainages which is being addressed now. There is an old part of the city around Douglas that gives it the typical Nigerian feel but beyond Douglas area which is crowded and dirty, much of Owerri is extremely beautiful and completely modern in housing with some bad dots outside the city like Umuguma, Orji/Uratta and Amakohia/Akwakuma.Chai!!!

cjrane: This is typically the reason Nigerians should go abroad to change their warped mentality.Yes, traffic lights work in mega metropolitan centers such as New York, Los Angeles or Atlanta. Even Abuja has traffic lights and everyone knows they don't cause any gridlock as you ignorantly infer. But, the law must be firm to make sure people obey them or they will pay huge fines. centje: that's not true. The traffic lights are programmed. The lane with heavy traffic gets longer duration of green light. That most traffic lights in Ph aren't working is because they are not maintained. so, they're all non-funtional. It's just nigerian factor, city like Ph can do better with the huge Rivers state allocation. Thanks for educating him. |
Since the Boko haram menace has rocked the NE of Nigeria. Kano the commercial nerve centre of northern Nigeria has enjoyed relative calmness. However, since the instatement of the new emir, Kano has witnessed an unprecedented spate of bombings. Please what is your take on this. Could it be He has some sympathy for the call of islamization by BH He sees it as a political opportunity to further discredit the FG His political enemies including perhaps disgruntled in-house elements want the public to view him as weak. He just doesn't care. Endeavour to keep your discussion civil. |
When it comes to indigenous innovation, these folks are unbeatable. |
How can one possibly be convinced to blow oneself up? ![]() |
