Divided loyalty perhaps?
And fighting an ill defined enemy.

In Liberia, Somalia and sierra leone they were on a common front with defined objectives and targets.
But you cannot rule out ethnic and religious sentiments in Nigeria.

To Commission the Lagos -Ibadan 15minutes interconnected city high-speed rail project or the "home to cabinet" /"cabinet to home " 200 meg fibre optic internet network?
Or better still ,to handover all powers/western region government assets back to the SW?
Who cares if he is in Lagos .
He is useless to us.
Oku eniyan .
Which power and asset? undecided

If that be the case, and FG is to take back FG "power" and assets then Lagos will be desolate.

Stop making silly statements.

PoliticsRe: Ebola Outbreak In Lagos!! by eaglechild: 11:20pm On Jul 26, 2014
Nigeria said yesterday that Ebola caused the death of a Liberian national who died in quarantine in Lagos, confirmation that the worst-ever outbreak of the virus has reached Africa's most populous country.
"The patient was subjected to thorough medical tests ... which confirmed the virus of Ebola," as the cause of death, Nigeria's health minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu, told journalists.
The 40-year-old worked for the Liberian government and had travelled to Nigeria by air via Togo's capital Lome for a meeting organised by the west African bloc known as ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States), the minister said.
He was suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhoea upon arrival at the international airport in Lagos and was transported directly to hospital, the minister said.
The patient "avoided contact with the general public" between the airport and the hospital, he added.

"All the passengers that the patient came in contact have been traced and are being investigated," in a bid to contain any spread of the virus across the city of more than 20 million people, Chukwu said.
As of July 20, the number of Ebola cases recorded in the months-long epidemic stood at 1,093, including more than 660 deaths, according to the World Health Organisation.
Liberia has seen 127 fatalities.
Lagos, the largest city in Sub-Saharan Africa, poses challenges to health officials seeking to contain a spread of the virus.
The congested city has terrible sanitation and a poor health system, but the minister assured that the patient did not come into contact with anyone outside the airport aside from medical workers.

OP Please read the bolded and desist from alarmist headlines.
However, I think a travel ban or very strict monitoring should be in place for visitors from affected countries.

ISP1KSDATROOF: Name one African country that transformed into Germany after fighting a war...

Im waiting...

If you think the White man will help you out with a Marshall plan after you bombed, shot and hacked yourselves to pieces just because of tribal and religious intolerance you'll find yourselves seeking visas to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Rwanda soonest.
Is there any African country presently like Germany?

How then will you transform to Germany after a war.

Right before your nose are a people that rose from the ashes of war, yet you go making ridiculous analogies.

Onitsha was razed to the ground, Enugu was burnt down, towns were annihilated.

Millions of people died.

The rest were financially incapacitated yet they have arisen and continued there sojourn , they have even forgiven, they have rebuilt and forged on and even surpassed those who never felt the pangs of war.

Those who really felt the war will NEVER clamour for it.

The wage bill being referred to is that of the public service which includes some political office holders.

Yet again you go complaining that civil servants are underpaid.

"We dealt with the civil war for 30 months we fought and we kept Nigeria one and God’s willing we are going to keep Nigeria one.”

Some analogies are inappropriate.

If you wish to become a civilian president then you must unlearn the crude military utterances, and imbibe diplomacy.

Anyway the violence associated with your political ambition is too much to let you near that seat.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Can Defeat B’haram, Says Buhari by eaglechild: 6:22am On Jul 25, 2014
gratiaeo: Buhari may not be a direct sponsor, but clearly was a part of the conspiracy of silence that encouraged the take-off of boko haram initially as a Northern militia group! Now, the north is in trouble because they are the biggest victims of the mindless bloody thirsty, full blown group of heartless terrorist who will stop at nothing to kill all their own people and leaders!
Very plausible indeed.

PoliticsRe: Liberian Man Tested For Ebola In World's Fourth Most Populous City, lagos by eaglechild: 8:37pm On Jul 24, 2014
Jakumo: The drastic public health measures adopted to stop the Avian Flu SARS virus in Asia might not be carried out as rigorously in Lagos Nigeria, so this news of one confirmed EBOLA victim in Lagos is cause for very great concern to ANYONE who visits Nigeria, as well as all residing there.

A single EBOLA victim that coughs inside the re-circulated air aboard a commercial passenger jet aircraft, for example, will infect the majority of all passengers and crew sharing that flight. There is cause for great concern not only in sub-Saharan Africa in this year of 2014, but WORLDWIDE, as this ominous storm gathers on the horizon.

The EBOLA virus, in the worst-case scenario, has the potential to cause a mass extinction of the ENTIRE human race, save for a few vestigial populations scattered among the planet's most inaccessible reaches.

aminu150: BH is not in any way related to islam. Thank God you were oppurtuned to stay with muslims. Had it mean all muslims are against christians you wont see a single christian in the north. Just think of it that we Nigerians from south, east, west or north can not get so low and start killing each other since we all know its against all religions of Nigeria. This BH we have now are just sponsored by some individuals be it muslims or xtians who want to start another civil war while clueless president looks on and support it either directly or indirectly. I am a muslim from kano and i have christian friends from the south both.
I am glad you are a Muslim that does not support chaos, but why will a group of people repeatedly cause violence?

Is Islam now a political tool of violence?

Please I need you to enlighten others to shun being used as pawns, I think Islam needs to teach about the sanctity of human life.

Esp as regards suicide, is deliberately taking one's life regarded as noble?

Sincerely, I hate stereotypes and I know that there are good Muslims who are peaceful, but I am confused right now.

To be sincere, those guys impressed me to the extent that at a point all my friend were moslems - not by choice but by orientation and non religious affiliation. They were honest and trustworthy. What then has overtaken Islam? Were my friends just pretending or is BH not Islamic?
Moslems are not bad people, definitely not, but I just cannot help to think that there is something about Islam that has changed in recent times.

I think it has metamorphosed into a dangerous political tool, which has overtaken its basic tenets.

Northern Nigeria is imploding while the elders sit by and do nothing.

Look at the stark contrast of developmental indices between the north and south and you just see that the north is akin to a diabetic foot that should be cut off.

How can one still blindly follow a teaching that propagates violence?

Why is it that a bomb has never gone off in a mosque in Christian dominated Southern Nigeria?

I do not understand this religion of peace.
