oduastates: Your arguments are just lame.
We are talking about the proceeds of crime, you are talking about what is essentially typical business behaviour in the business life cycle (elbowing the competitors out of the way).
Tell me what value any of these people add to the Nigerian society.
All of them are either fascist monopolists ,crooked government contractors, socially useless bankers or oil thieves.
You thought this thread will lead to money worship but you were not prepared for the blowback effect.
You know the difference between my society and yours?
My society 's corrupt elites bothered to provide the basics( health, education).
Because of that ,millions of my fellow omoluabis have assets all over the world and which they can sell ,in order to afford these car.
What about yours?
Producing almajiris, orphans ,handicapped and widows by the millions.
You better thank Nigeria for giving you and the spoilt kids the cover to flaunt what is essentially , ill gotten wealth .Otherwise,i am sure that Boko haram would have sent all of you packing by now .
Exactly.

He did not see it coming.

Stealing their subjects dry and then rubbing it on their faces.

Abagworo: Lies told on Nairaland cannot change reality. Come to Imo State and talk rubbish, the keke man will just push you off his vehicle or the market women will refuse to buy or sell anything with you or the students will just kick your arss.
I know more about the pictures you posted than you do.

I am giving you clear facts.

Ask anyone in Radiology IMSUTH.
He will corroborate.

Say no to Rochas sycophancy.

Do you doubt this one too?
Please stop posting these pictures on every thread.

Are these not the machines that were bought by Achike Udenwa for IMSUTH that have been boxed for several years?
They include a CT scan, MRI etc.

They were neglected by IKIRI who had zero interest in IMSUTH.

Rochas only saw an opportunity for publicity and ordered that the machines be installed.

He didn't even buy them.

Yet on every the read you post these obsolete machines.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Screen Airline Travellers For Ebola by eaglechild: 9:12am On Aug 02, 2014
pickabeau1: Ebola was announced in west Africa ad far back as Marc and we just started screening now

We are lucky this guy fainted at the airport.

What about those infected who showed no signs and may have entered the country?

There is so much regional movement and this has taken four months before we started screaming....puhleeze.....

Medical workers are on strike

We don't have a coordinated response plan for a contagion of this nature

It seems to be divine that he fainted just at the entry point into west Africa's most populous city..

Just luck

Blind and naive defense of poor policies in the guise of patriotism..well...
Do you have any idea what a screening exercise entails? huh

If that be the case then every aircraft from Nigeria going to any destination should have all its passengers screened on arrival, but is that the case?

Does it then mean that Britain, France, US etc are lax since a case of Ebola death has been reported in Nigeria and they have not been screening all passengers?

Please reason before you critise.

This is not about patriotism but clear facts and figures.

pickabeau1: If this is true..belated response
Really? angry angry

I do not agree with you at all.

We are talking about routine screening of all passengers from high risk areas, not just symptomatic ones.
And this is an informed decision that came immediately WHO blew the whistle yesterday that the more stringent measures need to be taken.

The passenger that arrived from Liberia was handled professionally and prior to that WHO never advocated any aviation restrictions.

No other contact has tested positive for Ebola so how in the world is it a belated response?

We needn't always be overtly critical.
This is one issue I can say Nigeria has handled well so far.

Based on my own observations, Akpabio beats Chime hands down.
Maybe I'll concede and step up Akpabio's rating to 6/10 on the basis that akwaibom was hardly on the map before he came in.

Not only lower allocations but lesser responsiblity considering the fact that before chime, enugu have always been cool and a host of other reasons.
Anyway I respect ur opinion but just don't necessarily agree with it apart from that orji part. grin
Enugu was in a state of complete decay before Chime took over.

Considering the fact that he gave Akpabio 5.5, i agree however can't fathom 6 for Chime and Obiano yet.

Ibo govs Av higher grades. grin grin
Ibo kwenu. grin
I gave T.A. Orji 0/10
He is Igbo and PDP

I gave Rochas 4.5/10

I scored Chime high because Enugu has a much lower allocation than Rivers, Imo, Akwaibom and Abia.

Obiano can hardly be rated objectively but he scored high in his first few weeks.

Thanks for correcting the typo.

However, if you read through the links above you will understand my grouse.

I can see that you left out the poverty rate of the north but I can tell you that it stands at over 70% in most states and even close to 80% in some.

That is not a place to show off Ferraris and bugattis.
prophetone: Fixed.
What is sickening is the liberty with which hypocrisy is hawked on this forum. Listening to you one would think other regions are utopian worlds where poverty is almost non-existent. There are millions in the south suffering this very moment from lack of basic nourishment and healthcare and you are here trying desperately to climb your high horse.
The Nigerian Bureau of Statistics puts the percentage of the southern population living in absolute poverty at 61% and a population of 64.9 million puts the number of southerners living in absolute poverty at 39,650,000 as at 2012. That is about 40 million in the south going to bed hungry this night yet you can sit and guzzle beer with friends, and you sermonise here about admiration of wealth in the presence of poverty. Sheer Hypocrisy. What makes it worse is your ignorance of the fact.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-17015873
There are millions of Nigerians on both sides of the divide and we should strive to install purposeful leadership that can alleviate the woes of our less-privileged and provide opportunities for wealth creation to the citizenry.
As I said earlier, guard your glass house well.
