I thought rust was toxic to lions. What is a lion doing in shagamu. |
A trailer load of unadulterated crap. Since when did please substitute America with supporter of APC. |
Well written article. It simply shows that Tinubu and successor Fashola under APC have failed Lagosians. |
Good genetics Good brains Good environment |
I'm afraid of collateral damage. But it is often inevitable. |
So we are all in a matrix and Musiwa has come to deliver us. Sounds like frank Schizophrenia to me. |
victorVIC1: Trust me @ op...This list is incomplete without KatsinaWe are talking about development not desolation. |
django1: Do you know that some of the most expensive estates in the country are in the city? You have not been to Ibadan woman. ![]() You are joking right? |
TribalEAST: Asaba should be compared to the smallest local governmebt in Ibadan because ibadan alone is bigger than delta state and bayelsa put together. ibadan alone has 2 federal higher institutions and several private universities, amusement park, zoo, first TV station, 3 shoprite complexes(one of which is their biggest outlet in africa) etc. It's silly comparing a town that just started developing with a city which has been in existence before the white men came, which if made a state, will produce 6 capitals the size of asaba. You must have made F9 in Geography. |
Tinubu is just another Nyako in the making. |
I must commend GEJ and the Agric minister, that is one of the sectors experiencing positive strides. |
Even Ibadan waters look rusty. |
omonnakoda: Guy You can tell them to shut up whan you get home. There is no need for childish tantrums here.I speak with facts and evidenceWhat has this topic got to do with Biafra and 20 pounds? |
All these illiterates shouting that cows are not what should be brought back, should shut it. How else does conflict escalate if not from such incidents. For want of stolen cows accusations will start to fly and before you know it inter village/ethnic clashes will ensue leading to loss of lives. Besides those cows are expensive and a source of livelihood for many. A full grown cow goes for up to N150k down south, multiply that by 218 that gives you N32.7 million, which is is a lot of money esp for the rearers. |
Good riddance |
That is like flogging a dead horse ![]() |
![]() Cry me a river losers! |
APC just makes me sick ![]() |
This is so fishy. Perhaps they can no longer keep track of the impostor parents, and decided to opt out. |
Nyako thought he was invincible when he was running his terrorist mouth up and down. Now he is on his way to jail, which is where many fellow supporters of APC will be joining him soon. Kudos to the house members for upholding democracy by sacking the extremist. |
Is sharia law binding on non Muslims? Should religious laws superceed that of the state in a secular country? |
sublimes: @Op, Yenagoa should come first on that list. Everything is damn expensive in that town.Yenogoa is relatively expensive but definitely not first on the list. |
Abuja This comes as no surprise, Abuja is an expensive city even by world standards. Politicians who have made Abuja their abode have an unending stash that drive up prices. With record breaking real estate costs. A detached 6 bedroom duplex in Maitama or Asokoro goes for anything from 500 million to 1 billion naira!! (Google is your friend). Food is more affordable, so far it is not processed. Of course there are less expensive suburbs but you have to endure longer commutes to the city centre. Port Harcourt Being Nigeria's oil capital has it's downsides. PH is expensive, infact it is arguably on average more expensive than Abuja. It has a significant number of upper middle class from the oil sector and other walks of life. Food is particularly overpriced in PH and so is decent accommodation. What of private schools in PH, they will certainly make you consider the number of children you want to have. Lagos The nation's economic capital is what you want it to be for you in terms of cost. However, if you want comfort and security in the form of accommodation, you will have to pay very dearly. Especially if you work on the island. A room, parlour and Kitchen in Ikoyi, VI or Lekki can range from 400 to 600k per annum. Of course most people are left no choice than to endure the long commute to work and back. Those working on the mainland have cheaper options to explore. Lagos however, has the advantage of availability of cheaper consumer goods from clothing, household components to cars. But the stress does come at a price. Owerri This may come as a surprise but Owerri's unique location in the SE heartland has made it a popular destination. This has driven up the cost of living. A 3 bedroom flat goes for an average of 30k a month. Food is more expensive relative to other SE cities. Even with the rate of new hotels being built, hotel rooms are still expensive. And the cost of labour in this town is high. Uyo This blossoming city, has grown tremendously in a short time and so has the cost of living. Real estate prices have shot up, and cost of transport has also gone up. If you are young and looking to save money in Uyo, you just have to cook your food. The good side is that you actually get a higher quality of life at a relatively OK cost. Calabar This former capital of Nigeria continues to attract people with its serene environment and friendly residents. But this does not come cheap. Calabar's conformity drives up cost. In December Calabar goes up higher on the list as thousands flood in for the famous carnival. Warri This city is quite similar to PH The presence of the refinery/oil sector has made the cost of living here well above other Nigerian cities. Enugu This city is experiencing a real estate boom and what many residents took for granted in terms of rent, is beginning to bite. Enugu's improved road network, security and international airport together with its regional status, continues to attract wealthy retirees and returnees. This has slowly started driving up prices. Labour and food are still relatively affordable. |
Vansnickers: Apologize to them for what?!Who have you been hanging out with ![]() You sound so twisted. |
Those drugs are especially harmful to the liver and kidneys and should be avoided. |
shymexx: Really and truly, don't you lot get tired of the useless hyperbole you attach to lack of achievement, with the idi.otic "largest/biggest/first/highest in Africa crap?" Especially when there might even be bigger ones in North, East, or South Africa? And why the need to always make yourselves feel good by even comparing your medieval non-achievements with little countries with no resources anyway? I guess it has to do with primeval ultra patriotism/nationalism - yet you vehemently reject a more befitting title as the most populated cesspit on the same continent - hysterical.I didn't see you go gaga when that two room clinic opened by Fashola was labelled the first cardiorenal centre in Africa. |
OrlandoOwoh: I'm speaking from experience. In other words seeds of hatred were implanted in you by your"Igbo" parents? |
OrlandoOwoh: Igbo parents should stop planting the seed of hatred in their children.Pls can you explain. Are you an Igbo parent? Have you been planting the seed of hatred in your children? |
Evergreen123: the only lie the critic gave was accreditation of medical students: esucom has graduated 3 sets now but that breakthrough was not attributed to Sullivan, the students had described how Sullivan was dulling the process till interventions of external factors became the last resort.I am kind of confused, about the road projects, who funded them? I know that when it comes to health he messed up, he refused to implement CONMESS which led to very long doctors' strike etc. Actually, Sullivan has a lot of shortcomings, (I think rural Enugu is still neglected) but he is a huge improvement when compared to his predecessor. What he has done is make people more aware and demanding of good governance, a spirit that was snuffed out by Chimaroke and in some other states where people have acclimatised to bad governance. This is a good thing because anyone who replaces him will be under pressure to even do better, just like Obiano vs Obi, unlike T. A. Orji for eg where any mediocre will be hailed. |
