How much is a unit? Is it an FG project? |
Thousands of jobless individuals coming to pay lip service to the rascal that put them out of their jobs. |
spikesC: Oga, i don't believe i insulted you anywhere. Infact you were the only one who had a normal convo with me.I am inclined to be sympathetic with your cause. Inasmuch as I have a soft spot for Sullivan, it will be suicidal to tow the path of sycophancy. The article has a lot of half truths and outright lies, however, the present era of politicians are mostly deaf to soft criticisms constructive or not. They only seem to respond to harsh "threats" and criticisms that threaten their future ambition. Thus, I have to say that so far the facts are clear, then the criticisms should rain down harshly. Sadly, most people pointing fingers tend to have alterior motives. |
millionaireman: @eaglechild, On the most recent thread on NL about new states recommended to be created by the National Conference, I read you through, back and front, front and back. You were bashing and swearing against any talk of creating any new state. However, this thread is about Imo state, but read all your posts here, they all show your Owerri-centric limits. Sure you won't be worried when this state govt soon starts paving the streets of Owerri with gold, while the rest of Imo state still yearn for the most elementary infrastrutures that sustain modern lifestyle in them to induce development all over the state. A Bishop in Ohaji/Egbema LGA just told Gov. Okorocha that the area is yet to see any one km of road tarred by Okorocha govt. You may be one of many like you who believe that modernization in Imo state must not extend anywhere beyond Owerri. If not, why were you so up in arms against creation of new states aimed to extend government closer to the people? If you went through my posts prior to the data loss, you would have seen my dismay at the appalling condition of state roads in Imo, I remember mentioning the road leading to IMSUTH amongst others. I am anything but Owerricentric. As regards state creation, I am in support of Anioma state. However, further division of the already existing SE state does not necessarily mean an increase in revenue generation or even allocation, rather the redistribution of the meagre FG allocation to the various states, but with extra governors, commissioners, perm secs, members of house etc. Which to me is a colossal waste of funds on recurrent expenditure ( instead of capital projects desperately needed by our economy), given how expensive governance is in Nigeria. What we should focus on is electing the right people not duplicity of functions. |
This "Rascal" don suffer. |
Does a HND in engineering make one an engineer? Does a cursory membership of COREN make one a fellow? I need some enlightenment. |
IGBOSON1: ^^^Good effort Spyder!God bless you! I keep saying this, nothing defaces a city like leaving rogue weeds and unswept streets to become the norm. Daily street sweeping can easily be achieved via the abundant cheap direct labour. I wish I was the ESWAMA boss. |
Meet to "save" Aregbosola. ![]() Is he drowning? |
Abagworo: . Lol @bolded. Traffic lights don't work in cities with high concentration of vehicles as you have in Owerri. [/b]It will lead to disastrous gridlocks because traffic lights are robots and don't work with immediate statistics. You can't attempt it in most parts of Port-Harcourt.Really?! Modern traffic lights can be adjusted accordingly so your statement is total hogwash. There are more cars in Lagos and Abuja. In Owerri when it rains traffic grinds to a halt because the controllers scuttle for shelter. I said in select areas because of other logistics involved. |
This thread has outlived its usefulness. |
otil1: Gbam!!!Water is supposedly a basic amenity, however, that statement you made shows you know nothing about Enugu. Enugu has a very peculiar topography which makes it perhaps the most expensive city in Nigeria to access potable water. Not only are most parts of the city significantly elevated, making boreholes almost impossible, you have to factor in the coal which makes the ground water often unsafe. Tap water actually comes from Oji which is several kilometers away from the city and this is at a tremendous cost. This is unlike for eg PH, Owerri, Aba, etc where even though the govt has done nothing about water provision, the populace careless because private boreholes are very cheap to dig. |
Finally the government has repaired the damaged warehouse roundabout. This has helped to ease traffic in Owerri, road markings have also been added to Okigwe road up to Control roundabout, (the major thoroughfare). The chaos of motorists not knowing where to stop on getting to the roundabouts has reduced. A reintroduction of traffic lights in select areas should be the next move. That way traffic can flow better like in Enugu. |
Dannyxy: Nigerians are the most ungrateful people I have ever known.. same Mikel that brought joy to us?, wait, what do you expect? he had an average world cup as fare as I am concerned.. if you say Mikel had a poor world, then your football knowledge is no different from that of those that argue football on the street noisily. you have no insight on what tactical role and discipline is.Thanks a lot . Going through this thread brought me to the conclusion that most Nigerians are incapable of analytical thinking. |
Hermanie: Its not just about Mikel, but the whole super eagles. My bet accumulated to 117k before their match against Iran, they made me lose everything. Again, against France, i predicted a draw by full time (90 mins) that was a 48k withdrawal lost. I know that most NL guys are claiming millionaires, but the super eagles cost me 165k in two weeks plus the total of 5k i used in placing those betsYou should be in therapy for your gambling addiction and not take it out on Mikel. Besides if you are a millionaire you shouldn't really be bothered that much, after all gambling is not fail proof. |
Was about to rain criticisms on him, then I saw the source. Sahara lieporters. |
You have the right to go and die. Meanwhile upon all the Photoshop.... You are still handsome. |
The way certain news they take fly enter front page makes me wonder whether they are sponsored. Anyway good move, shows the executive's minimal interference with the legislative. |
Orji fighting corruption? Hmmm. Why is this even on the front page? |
Makes the job easy for everyone, you will simply be thrown in jail where you belong. |
Is it Nyako the terrorist or another Nyako we are talking about. The man is already getting mad prior to prison. |
1.56 billion by a state accountant and we are clamoring for more states? |
APC structures are literally and figuratively collapsing. Thank goodness they didn't waste innocent lives. |
