It seems so; but the airport is hardly operational during the harmattan season. In fact no plane has landed or taken off from the airport since December 8 due to bad weather.
Stop dishing out wrong information with so much authority.
The airport has been functioning.

Grammatically correct but structurally wrong. Nigeria as a country is land, not landS.
Not true
These lands can be used to refer to a diverse place like Nigeria.

Someone here would soon attack me with one stupid explanation and say '...the bird might be sick and decided to rest by his door' or just one crazy stuff
Owls are birds of prey and feed predominantly on rodents- rats and mice. Rodents are abundant in human populations especially around homes.
What this means is that contrary to what you think owls are very commonly found around regular homes.
Because they are nocturnal they are hardly spotted but if you are observant you can occasionally hear their hooting anytime from 11pm.
After feeding they will return to their nesting grounds before dusk.

There is absolutely nothing unusual in finding a dead owl around your house.
CrimeRe: Police Auctions Stolen Range Rover In Port Harcourt After It Was Recovered by eaglechild: 7:11pm On Oct 30, 2017
QuotaSystem:
To be fair, the police have been auctioning recovered but unclaimed vehicles after advertising them in national dailies for as long as I can remember. The original owner must have missed the advertisements and the vehicle was auctioned to another person for a low price. I can only fault the police for not contacting the original owner once the car was found, since he had already made a report and presumably dropped his contact details.

The owners best option is probably to contact the successful buyer and persuade him to give back the car after paying him what it cost him at the auction; this is because the auction is a legally recognized and regulated process.

My two cents.
The owner of the stolen made an official report to the police in the same city. In fact the stations in questions are just few kilometres apart. How can you possibly defend such obvious deliberate corruption on the part of the police.

The very essence of making the report, which for a stolen vehicle is expensive to do, is for the police to contact the owner if the vehicle is recovered.
The person actually pays a fee for the report for that purpose.

It is dumb and inexcusable to auction a vehicle on the premise that the owner did not see an advert. Vehicles are registered, they have chasis and engine numbers and can easily be traced from FRSC or customs.

Your comment is just provocative.

The measure may appear so but for place like Singapore it isn't.
Rather it is an act of foresight to prevent chaos in the future, a culture we should imbibe.

Hahahahhahhaha... You funny die . . I swear the bank is so fine these days... And do you know through their app, you can connect with their customer service through whatsapp feature... I was surprised to see it.

You have any issues, you just whatsapp them with the complaints, your case is treated asap.

Something good is really coming out from the bank.
The bank has greatly improved their services. I lost my zenith bank ATM card a few days before I was due to travel and was told that I cannot get a new one in that branch in less than a week and I cannot use it outside the country even if I got it.
I remembered I had a union bank account that was lying dormant and decided to try my luck. To my surprise I was told I could get my card the same day and it would be activated for use outside the country within 24 hours. I walked out of the bank with the card and travelled with it some days later and used it for all my transactions.

Enugu has a relatively high tree density something it should try as much as possible to maintain and improve upon.

Good development

They should also consider repainting the road markings
,that will really bring out the shine and beauty

These are not too expensive maintenance projects that can make a lot of difference on the outlook of the city.

Where is Eswama? it's like this at Coal camp, Abakpa, Trans Ekulu, Obiagu, Emene and Ogui areas.
Terrible eyesore.

Is ESWAMA incapable of establishing a daily routine that works.

Must they be coerced to do their job.

It is far from that . The Rwandans were very hostile and I suspect because some Nigerians have engaged in using their routes for drug smuggling. They even brought in sniffer dogs when we were all seated with our luggage in the transit hall . All in all, I am not impressed by that country with their small airport that has little or no activities. Looks like an Islamic state.
That's unfortunate
TravelRe: Air Travellers, Share Your Travel Experiences With African Airlines by eaglechild: 1:19pm On Oct 01, 2017

Ethiopia airline should do it. I once flew Rwanda air about 3 yrs back. Was the most uncomfortable flight I've been in with no where to hang ur leg, small chairs and worst of all the screen . You have 1 screen to 3 people not the usual of you having your own screen and we all have to watch same thing meaning you can't watch movies of your choice or anything u like . I had to go to their office in Dubai to ask if I could get a refund for my return ticket but it wasn't feasible. To worsen the whole journey ,the officials at their airport seized all drinks I bought in Dubai duty free (about 4 bottles of Jack Daniels) as well as other peoples food items etc said they won't allow anybody board with food or drinks. The stupid official even told me its either I drink my whisky or leave it so I had to ask him is that how you drink whisky? To cut the story short, I had to almost finish my bottle of Jack Daniels before entering the flight.
It is your responsibility as a traveller to check if the airline you intend to travel with has any specific rules especially as regards items that are not allowed unto the plane as carry on luggage.

Went on a one week trip to Singapore.
In my connecting flight I was the only black person on the fully booked 767 and I recall the ticket attendant kept looking at me like say I miss road when I wanted to board.

Despite being a "global" city the only other black person I saw was on a movie set being shot in the street.
You can't chew gum in public and could get arrested and charged a fine for that. Overall, it is a beautiful and super clean place.
I cancelled my proposed trip to Bali an even more obscure destination.

Still love travelling, guess I just won't be doing that alone.

In fact, we were driving into Yakari (student excursion) and we met a worker trekking. His bike had broken down and time was running out. The road was deserted until we arrived. As we let him in and started moving, a boy shouted, i can see a lion. The cubs were the closest to us playing, females behind them watching and others pacing. It was much later we spotted the male a little far behind. It was faint but only those with good sight could see it. We were told how lucky we were to behold such a sight.

My dad before retirement planned severally for a family vacation but it never happened.
You are so lucky.
I love wildlife and I've been to the Kruger twice yet didn't get to see lions.
Maybe I'll try my luck with Yankari or Masai Mara (Kenya). I would love to see lions roaming freely in their natural habitat.
Car TalkRe: I've Had It With 4-cylinders. by eaglechild:
BTT:
Indeed to each his own.

The V6/6 cylinders vehicles are smooth and noiseless indeed. Remember too that our engineers say they are more complex to build. I remembered watching a documentary on guns and the narrator, after basically comparing time and ease of assembly and dessembly, concluded that the AK47 was poor technology.

The I4 is, though not necessarily true, both fuel economical and pocket-friendly.

Like I use to say, the day you will realize that Nigerians' love for the Corolla is not genuine is when they come solely fitted with 6cyls. We had our cake, we want our cake. Trust us, many would read all of our 'rants' and say, 'yes! very true' but when the real choice calls, they'd conveniently go the i4 way.

I have driven and owned both, and agree with a number of the op's point. However, my current i4 dog does brilliantly in terms of torque, compression and quiet. It always cheerfully competes and often humbles some 6cyls on the highway.

But you see, whatever rocks your boat.
Your i4 humbling V6s is very subjective.
I can sincerely tell you that most of the time the other person is not in the mood.
For me when I see a corolla buzzing annoyingly behind me especially when there are potholes and I'm trying not to burst a shock i just let the person pass.

Unless of course you are driving a turbo charged high hp car then you can compete with a v6

ESWAMA seems to be dead.

Their waste disposal is grossly inadequate. I believe this is deliberate with the endpoint being juicy contracts awarded to cronies.
Whereas the funds could be used to fix the refuse disposal trucks or procure new ones.

Looks like the government is not capable of maintaining basic infrastructure in the capital.
Even if he has sworn not to commence new projects, he should at least maintain the existing ones meticulously.
